A few days have passed since I returned from our journey.

I continue my daily life as a dragon handler, but regarding the upcoming wedding with Runa, which is gradually taking shape…I feel both excited and nervous, keeping me busy.

“Have you been feeling restless lately?”

During lunch with Rito, he pointed out my behavior.

Well, it is definitely going to be a once-in-a-lifetime event for me, and I will never have a wedding with anyone other than Runa… which means that it will be the first and last wedding in my life.

After talking with other dragon handlers besides Rito, I returned to Runa, who was probably waiting for me eagerly.

Runa’s new daily routine is to become human and try to maintain her human form for as long as possible.

I told her that I don’t mind and that I love her as a dragon, but she declared that she wants to try hard because she wants to walk with me in the crowd as a human and travel anywhere as a human.

“It’s nice to hear you say that, but you know? Since you have accepted my love of a dragon, I want to respond in kind.”

With that, Runa clung to me.

She seemed to have used some kind of magic, as a soft cushion, like feathers, was placed and she pushed me down onto it.

“Well, basically, I’ll still be by your side in human form like this. After all, we’ve already pledged our future together. Is there anything else we need to do?”

“…Nope.”

“See?”

And so, as a special training to extend the time Runa can maintain her human form, my mission to cuddle with her for several hours began.

Talking about various things while touching each other’s bodies, interacting with each other as humans was also a healing time.

“This way, we can walk around the capital freely.”

“Well, that’s true, but can I ride on your back while you fly, Runa?”

“I’ve already given permission for that. We can fly anytime.”

“I see. That’s good.”

While it is limited to the area around the royal capital, it is possible to go outside freely with her.

…But now that I think about it, she’s always been silently going outside, so that part hasn’t really changed.

“What’s wrong?”

“Well, Runa is a beauty, right?”

“Even as a dragon… you’re so beautiful, you know?”

“If I walk around with Runa like this, I’m sure we’ll attract attention.”

When I said that, Runa nodded.

It’s been proven that she attracts a lot of attention when she walks around with me, but it’s not that I find it troublesome. I’m willing to protect Runa. But there may be people who take extreme measures… and that’s what makes me uneasy about it.

After that, I spent the whole time snuggling up to Runa, and that night, too, she told me that she didn’t want me to go home, so I stayed over.
