Chapter 8 – The Evil Dragon Gives the Dungeon a Thorough Cleaning 【Part 1】
This is a two-part chapter!
Let’s rewind time a little.
These events took place right before Ryuuji cleared the dungeon with superhuman ease.
This is the story of what his mother, Karma, was doing behind the scenes while her son was heading to the dungeon all by himself.
“Alright, I’ve arrived at the destination dungeon.”
Using her skill, 【Hyper-Teleportation】, Karma had traveled from her home to the dungeon in a mere second.
“I told Ryu-kun I would teleport him here, but he just wouldn’t listen. What does he plan to do if something happens on the way? Honestly!”
Ryuuji intended to walk from the town of Kamiina to the dungeon.
On foot, it was a journey of about two hours. If he walked briskly, he could arrive in about an hour and a half.
After Ryuuji left the house on foot, Karma used her teleportation skill to pop over in an instant.
“Okay, I have an hour and a half until Ryu-kun gets here. I’ve got to do what I can do!”
Karma glared at the dungeon.
“To make sure my son doesn’t get hurt and comes home safely… I have to clean the inside of this dungeon!”
(Shouldn’t one normally just ‘pray for his safe return’ in a situation like this?)
For Karma, however, prayer was meaningless.
The one who would protect her son’s safety was not some god or buddha. It was she, his mother, and she alone.
“Alright, first, shall we remove the ‘unnecessary things’ from the dungeon?”
Clap!
Karma clapped her hands sharply before her chest.
It was her God Slayer skill, 【Forced Teleportation (Supreme)】.
This was a skill that forcibly teleported everything within a certain range to another location.
She could move anything and everything within the domain exactly as she pleased.
“Now then, first… the elimination of dangerous elements.”
Karma forcibly teleported all the monsters inside the area—that is, inside the dungeon—to the outside.
“Oh, hold on. The target for this subjugation quest was Small Bats, I believe. So I’ll just exclude them from the teleportation.”
All monsters other than the Small Bats were sent to a place far, far above where Karma was.
She hadn’t just sent them up into the sky, either.
It was much farther than that.
Beyond the sky, and further beyond what lay there.
She forcibly teleported the monsters into outer space.
Monsters may be aberrant, but they are still living creatures. They breathe to live.
Therefore, every single one of the monsters cast out into the oxygen-free vacuum of space perished.
“The dungeon should be empty now. Phew, with this, the danger of Ryu-kun being attacked by monsters is gone. Next.”
Next, she forcibly teleported something else out of the dungeon.
With the exception of the subjugation targets, there shouldn’t have been any other monsters inside.
So what was Karma teleporting out now…?
The moment Karma activated her skill…
“Whoa!”
“What the—!?”
…voices of men could be heard from all around the dungeon’s vicinity.
“Why are we outside the dungeon!?”
“I have no idea!? The scenery in front of me just changed all of a sudden!”
(Correct.)
What remained in the monster-free dungeon were other adventurers.
It would be fine if they were harmless, but among them, there might be malicious adventurers who prey on their own kind.
Karma could not gauge the good or evil in human hearts.
To begin with, she had no interest in any human other than Ryuuji, so she couldn’t tell the difference.
Therefore, Karma teleported every single person who was inside the dungeon to the outside.
That said, she didn’t cast them out into space like she did with the monsters.
Not that Karma possessed a heart full of mercy.
Karma held absolutely no interest in any human besides Ryuuji. She couldn’t care less about them. And since she couldn’t care less, she didn’t need to kill them. Or rather, killing them would likely cause Ryuuji pain, so she wouldn’t.
Her reasoning was just that simple.
“Okay, now all the unnecessary things are gone from the dungeon.”
Karma wiped the sweat from her brow with the face of an artisan who had completed her work.
“All that’s left is for Ryu-kun to arrive, subjugate the target monsters, and then this Mother Quest will be complete.”
(What the heck is a “Mother Quest”…? If Ryuuji were here, he would have surely called her out on it.)
“Kuh…! Ryu-kun isn’t here, so there’s no one to call me out on it! …It’s lonely.”
shun…
Karma slumped to the ground on the spot, hugging her knees.
She recovered immediately.
“Until Ryu-kun arrives… 45 minutes left.”
Smack!
Karma slapped her own cheeks and said.
“There’s still… still more that must be done!”
(Is there anything else left to do?)
She had removed all enemy monsters and driven out the other potentially dangerous adventurers.
But Karma said that still wasn’t enough.
“Not yet… There are still plenty of things that could endanger my Ryu-kun! A perfect job means eliminating every single one of them!”
Karma declared emphatically and stepped into the dungeon.
“Onward! Into the underground labyrinth! For the sake of my lovely, my darling Ryu-kun’s safe adventure!”

This is just getting real repetitive now. Also we keep getting things, event and characters that are just pulled from nowhere.
Like who is the observer? We know its an elf and later learned it talked to mc sometimes but it was never referenced or shown until its sudden sneaking in on ch3.
Also we keep spending half a chapter reading ahead then it cuts back to how it got to that point but that just makes it all so confusing. Like the whole job interview thing made no sense for awhile.
On a side note is mc reincarnated or something? How would he know about our world things but yet we have had no confirmations
