I became the boyfriend of the school's madonna, who had turned down numerous confessions, but somehow, without realizing it, I wasn't just playing a role anymore - Chapter 69
Episode 69: Honest Feelings
“T-That’s…!”
I thought I should wait for things to calm down, but before I could catch my breath, Misaki leaned in close to me.
But beyond that, I don’t want to put it into words.
She probably understood my feelings from her reaction, but I guess she wanted me to put it into words.
“It’s just as I said. I don’t want to fake it anymore, I really want to go out with Misaki.”
“~~~~~!”
Expressing my honest feelings, Misaki started to squirm again.
She’s a busy girl.
But she’s not rejecting me.
If this were the Misaki from when we started pretending to date, she would have instinctively distanced herself at my words. Not doing so is an indication of her changing feelings.
“W-Why…?! Until now, there was no sign of that at all…!”
Instead of replying, Misaki asked a question.
She’s probably overwhelmed, so I won’t poke at her with mean remarks.
“Well, you had hints dropped at me indirectly, like ‘don’t show that attitude’.”
“Hah…!”
As she forced a smile to show she wasn’t bothered, Misaki looked pained as she pressed her left hand against her chest. With her right hand barely holding onto me, it seems like she’s taken a hit.
I was just being honest, but maybe it sounded a bit mean.
“It’s not like I’m bothered by it, so don’t worry, Misaki.”
“I do care, I think it’s questionable as a person…”
Misaki’s eyes welled up with tears.
If she didn’t want to hear it, she shouldn’t have asked—but back then, Misaki probably put up those defenses both to protect herself and out of consideration for me. I understand that, so I won’t blame her.
Well, she can be a bit troublesome at times.
But, I think even those parts are cute.
What a difficult child to deal with.
“Misaki is serious, after all.”
“W-Why are you laughing…?”
When I returned her gaze with a smile, Misaki looked at me, seemingly unconvinced.
She seemed to think I was mocking her. Of course, my smile wasn’t meant to ridicule her.
“It’s just that… it couldn’t be helped.”
“What do you mean…?”
She asked, and I thought.
What should I say in situations like this?
Trying to put it into words is a bit tricky.
Well, even so—
“Maybe I just like that about you, Misaki?”
That’s probably all there is to it.
I like everything about Misaki, including her serious yet clumsy side.
So, I can just smile and let it go.

I hope you continue to enjoy it in the future♪
Also, today (April 25th), “The British Beauty Known as the Solitary Flower, Became My Clumsy Affectionate Stepsister” will be released…!!
It’s a sweet and frustrating love comedy where an awkward British classmate, who’s bad at socializing, starts to affectionately rely on you as a stepsister!
For those who love tsundere, kuudere, sweet and frustrating romance, and stepsister themes, it’s highly recommended♪
As someone who loves tsundere and has written a lot about them, I think this is the perfect form of a tsundere! (At least for now…!!)
I’ve shared some of the cover art, cover illustration, and inserted illustrations in the recent notes below!
I’d be happy if you could take a look at them (*´▽`*)
