I became the boyfriend of the school's madonna, who had turned down numerous confessions, but somehow, without realizing it, I wasn't just playing a role anymore - Chapter 151
Episode 151: Like Sisters, Indeed
“Mi-Misaki, this is…”
Though I couldn’t see Misaki’s expression because Sasagawa-sensei’s—ahem—body was blocking my view, I could tell that she was clearly flustered now, but for a completely different reason than earlier.
Judging from her voice, Misaki was very angry.
Thanks to Sasagawa-sensei’s agitation, her grip on me loosened enough for me to slip out from her arms.
Then, just as I turned toward Misaki to try and calm her down—
Before I could even see her face, my eyes went straight to her body.
For some reason… she was wearing nothing but a bath towel.
“What the heck are you wearing!?”
The sheer absurdity of her outfit made me shout without thinking.
But looking more closely, her hair was still damp—she must’ve just gotten out of the bath and was drying off when she heard Sasagawa-sensei’s scream and ran straight over here.
“Raito-kun, could you be quiet for a second?”
Misaki, so consumed with anger that she didn’t even seem to care about her own appearance, turned to me with a big smile.
Behind that smile, I swear I saw a pitch-black aura swirling.
Yeah… never mind her outfit. If I don’t stop Misaki, Sasagawa-sensei’s life might be in danger.
“Calm down, Misaki…! What happened with Sasagawa-sensei was—”
“It’s okay, Raito-kun. I totally understand.”
Just as I tried to explain, Misaki tilted her head with a smile.
That… doesn’t feel right.
If she really did understand, then the tension in the air should’ve let up, but instead, cold sweat started running down my back.
“You… you understand?”
“Yep! She tried to attack you, right? That sly—I mean—my sister. Don’t worry, I get it.”
You do not get it…!
I almost snapped back instinctively, but realized that in her current state of rage, saying the wrong thing could be catastrophic.
If I provoke her now, there’s no telling what she might do.
The one thing I could tell for sure was that this cold sweat of mine was entirely justified.
“That’s not it. Sasagawa-sensei just got startled and ended up hugging me.”
I gently explained with a smile, trying to avoid provoking Misaki, who was this close to calling her sister a “thieving cat.”
Luckily, the baby gecko that caused all of this hadn’t fled due to Sasagawa-sensei’s earlier scream and was still stuck to the wall.
That should help Misaki understand.
I mean, she’s grown up with her sister—there’s no way she wouldn’t know about her fear of geckos.
“Startled? By what?”
Misaki still didn’t believe me and tilted her head again with that same terrifying smile.
Yup, no doubt about it—she’s definitely that woman’s daughter.
That smile is giving off insane pressure.
“And another thing—”
I pointed toward the gecko stuck on the wall above Misaki’s head.
Since she froze right after opening the door, it was still directly above her.
But hey—there’s no way we’re going to fall into some cliché situation where it drops right on her head or anything.
Following my gesture, Misaki slowly turned her gaze upward.
And the moment she made eye contact with the baby gecko—
“Kyaaaaaaaaa!!”
—Just like a déjà vu, she teared up and dove straight at me in a panic.
“You too…!?”
