I became the boyfriend of the school's madonna, who had turned down numerous confessions, but somehow, without realizing it, I wasn't just playing a role anymore - Chapter 136
Episode 136: As a Result of the Discussion
“No, no, that’s a completely different matter…!?”
Misaki’s father widened his eyes in shock, trying to put a stop to his daughter’s outrageous statement.
However—
“Hmm, I think it’s fine,”
Misaki’s mother surprisingly gave her approval.
“Honey!?”
Misaki’s father, clearly not expecting his wife to agree, turned to her in astonishment.
…Yeah, I’m shocked too.
“Judging by Misaki’s expression, even if we say no, she probably won’t listen. And if a boy that even Misora and Hyouka recommend is involved, I think it’s okay.”
Misaki’s mother said, fully understanding her daughter’s character.
Misaki was smiling brightly, radiating confidence that her request would be granted.
In this state, rejecting her would likely not go over well.
She would probably persist until she got her way—just like she had when she pressed me about kissing in my room until I gave in.
Realizing this, Misaki’s mother decided to yield early on.
Of course, the strong endorsements from Suzumine-san and the others played a significant role in her decision.
“But she’s still a student! Staying over at a boy’s house is—!”
“Raito-kun seems sincere and reliable. Besides, his younger sister will be there, right? Also—”
Misaki’s mother paused, turning her gaze toward me with a smile.
“—If he’s willing to take responsibility, I think we should let them do as they wish.”
Her calm tone supported us, yet her gentle smile carried an undeniable pressure that made it hard for me to speak.
She was clearly implying, “If I’m giving my blessing, you’d better not make me regret it.”
Yep, Misaki’s mom is definitely the scariest person in this household.
“I’m sure he’ll take responsibility.”
Suzumine chimed in with a sly grin, looking at me mischievously.
Having heard most of what Misaki and I had been up to, she seemed to be enjoying the situation.
“I think it’s fine, too. If something happens, Shirai-san will handle it responsibly,”
Sasagawa-sensei said, aligning herself with the pro-approval side.
Honestly, I thought she’d oppose it as the voice of reason, but it seemed she sided with Misaki due to her frustration with Misaki’s father and her desire to respect her younger sister’s wishes.
I did not see this coming.
“W-wouldn’t this trouble you!?”
Misaki’s father turned to me, desperate for an ally.
I understood his position—if he wanted to stop Misaki, appealing to me was his only option.
But—
“Raito-kun already agreed, as long as the parents said it was okay.”
Misaki, considerate as always, had already checked with me first.
So I couldn’t give the answer Misaki’s father wanted.
After all, I had said she could stay over if her parents approved… though I hadn’t really expected them to agree.
As things progressed, Misaki’s father found himself outnumbered, unable to protest further.
I, for formality’s sake, checked with my own mom, who unsurprisingly gave her approval immediately.
Thus, it was decided—Misaki would stay at my house during summer vacation.
On top of that, she suggested that Sasagawa-sensei stop by after work for dinner, leading to a rather chaotic arrangement.
…Knowing Misaki, she probably intended to leave Sasagawa-sensei to watch over Kokoa while she clung to me.
She really is shamelessly honest about her desires.
