Chapter 92: Report and a Draw

For some reason, Elmie and the others were really irritated. Maybe that kind of behavior appeared too flashy and showy for fellow women? Even though they were perfectly in sync during battle…

It seemed the guild had communicated with the capital  beforehand, however I hadn’t told them that I came from another world and that my real job was a male saint. When I first came to this town, even before they knew I was a healer, Thalia-san had been very kind to me. Both Thalia-san and Elmie, along with Ferris and Flora, had treated me so well, even though I was someone who had nothing under my name in this world. Hence why, I felt really guilty for keeping a secret from them. It took me this long to come clean with everyone. 

“What are you talking about? Well, I don’t really understand what you mean by ‘another world’, but basically you’re not from around here, right? Being thrown into an unfamiliar land all alone… Of course you mustn’t trust someone you have just met.”

“Yeah. Like what I said before, Souma isn’t at fault at all.”

“Yeah. Besides, Souma didn’t know anything about the job in the first place.”

“I think Souma’s reactions are all normal.”

I was really grateful to see Elmie and the others defending me. However, thinking back, I should’ve come clear to them the moment I felt I could trust them. 

“If anything, I’m the one who feels bad for Souma-dono. You’ve arrived here from a faraway place and yet, we’ve made you lend your strength to us for so many things…”

“No! Not at all! Thalia-san, you’ve been kind to me even before you knew about my job. Besides, if it wasn’t for Elmie and the others, I might’ve already lost my life on the day I first arrived in this world.”

In fact, I was suddenly attacked by slimes and female bandits right after arriving in this world. I was really lucky I got to meet with Elmie and the others. Not only did they escort me to the city, but they also helped me find a place to live when I didn’t have any money on me. 

“Well then, let’s call it even no. Just as Souma felt sorry for not being able to talk to us about his secret, there are things that we could’ve done better too.”

“….Yeah, you’re right. Okay. Let’s call it even.”

Everyone was really considerate of me. I was starting to feel a bit less guilty thanks to them.

“Nonetheless… To think Souma-dono was assassinated right in the middle of the capital…. Still, it’s truly fortunate that the only male miko in the capital could be cured. Especially since it was an incurable disease…”

“Yeah, that’s really a great discovery. Also, just like usual, I want everyone to keep my real job and the fact that I can cure illness a secret.”

“Of course. I definitely won’t tell anyone about this.”

Currently, only all members of Blue Eternity, the King and Thalia-san that knew I was a male saint. This secret was very significant. The King even warned me that if this information were to leak to other kingdoms, they might engage in a war to fight over me. It might sound like an exaggeration, but we couldn’t completely dismiss the possibility. That was how rare a male saint was. 

Those in power would definitely do whatever it takes to get me in their hands if they knew I could cure any injury and illness. Even if they had to sacrifice thousands or tens of thousands of people, they would definitely think it was all worth it.
