- I Accidentally Said “I Want a S○x Partner” in the Class Group on LINE, and the School Idol Responded
- Chapter 1 - Can Something Like That Really Happen?
“―Hashiguchi, you did well in this term’s finals, too.”
It was a weekday in early July, right after school. As I was walking down the hallway toward the exit, my homeroom teacher, Etou, passed by and patted my shoulder.
“You’ve kept first place in finals since last year. Your parents must be proud.”
“Ah… yes. Thank you.”
“Keep it up and don’t slack off. See you tomorrow.”
Etou walked away, and I went to the school exit, feeling a bit down, and started my way home.
“—Good grades. You did well again, Omiya.”
At home, my mom looked at my report card, nodded, and was clearly pleased.
“You are a Hashiguchi, so this is what’s expected of you. Keep working hard and don’t bring shame to our family name.”
“Yes, Mom.”
I bowed and went to my room.
“…What a pain.”
As soon as I got to my room, I threw my backpack on the bed and slumped into my chair.
“I’m not living for the family, you know.”
But I have no choice.
I was born into the Hashiguchi family. My dad is a famous politician. I have no interest in politics, but as his only son, I’m expected to be excellent for his sake.
Specifically, I have to always be at the top in school and behave well.
No one complains if I keep both. I also get a decent allowance, and I have some freedom. But if my grades drop or my behavior slips, my allowance disappears, and I’m almost grounded. I’m stuck just going between school and home. Ever since that happened when I was little, I’ve worked hard like a machine to stay at the top and keep my behavior perfect.
Of course, living like this is stressful. I’m always worried about messing up my grades or my behavior, and that pressure eats at me.
I don’t really have hobbies to relieve stress because most of my time goes to studying. The only thing that helps is complaining in my private group on LINE.
So right now, I type what I feel there.
[Ugh, what a pain.]
[My stress is building up.]
[I want a s○x partner.]
A s○x partner.
I thought that if I had someone like that, even if my parents found out and made a fuss, my life might be a little more fun.
So I typed that into the chat, but then…
—Huh?
—Hashiguchi?
—Why are you spamming~
…Huh? Wait.
Why are they reacting? This was supposed to be my private group…
Then it hit me.
Oh no… this isn’t my private complaint group. It’s the “Class Group”…!
—LOL
—Lmao
—So funny~
—He wants a s○x partner, someone run for it
Oh no, oh no, oh no…!
This is turning into a situation I might not be able to fix…!
[No. This was my little brother messing around.]
I quickly sent that excuse but…
—Liar (sure about it)
—Well, we’ll just say that~
—Hashiguchi-kun is kind of gross~
They kept teasing me without holding back.
…Well, I did just say something gross.
Damn… tomorrow at school is going to be miserable.
And sure enough, the next morning in class, everyone laughed at me and teased me like crazy.
…At least it was just harmless laughter that wouldn’t reach my parents’ ears.
But this accidental message was about to take an unexpected turn that very afternoon…
“—Hey, Hashiguchi-kun, can I talk to you for a moment?”
By the time school came around, it seemed like everyone had already gotten bored with my accidental message. No one was teasing me anymore.
But then,
“Did you really want a s○x partner?”
The voice came from behind me as I walked home. It was Shinozaki Mikage, a classmate.
She was known as the most beautiful girl in our class. No, in the whole school with her calm, classic beauty and black hair.
I first saw her last year in the first grade of high school. We weren’t friends, so we weren’t close. She was also the second-best student in our year, always just below me on the grades list.
Anyway,
“Can we… just drop that topic?”
I didn’t understand why Shinozaki had to bring up my accidental message. I thought it was finally over. So why bring it up again?
“Was that really just an accident?”
“Yes. My little brother did it.”
“But I thought you were an only child?”
“―H-How did you know that…”
“I was just testing you.”
…She got me.
“Ehehe. Anyway, an imaginary younger brother couldn’t have sent that by accident, so what you wrote yesterday must be your real feelings, right?”
“…And what if it is? Are you planning to tell everyone?”
I asked while acting tough. Shinozaki shook her head slowly.
“I won’t do that. I just came to say this.”
And what she said next was something I never expected.
“―If that LINE wasn’t just an accident but your true feelings, then I want us to actually be in that kind of relationship.”
…It hit me like a bolt from the blue.
