Chapter 47 – Krish, Mei, Ruri and Ao

I was able to complete the miasma investigation in the Daut region.

“They are mother and daughter wolf beastmen. Now, meet Krish-san, the Vice-commander of Corias’ Fourth Knight Brigade, and her member, Mei.”

I introduced Ruri and Ao first as my new companions.

With her cheerful demeanor, Krish immediately put the two at ease with her welcoming words.

“I am Mei, a member of the Fourth Knights. Salt-sama, you have got yourself a very beautiful pair of mother and daughter.”

3rd place, Mei.

4th place, Ao.

Krish-san was able to defeat Mei simply by sheer strength, and won against Ao, who isn’t used to battles.

What was surprising was that Ruri excelled in using a long-handled axe called a halberd. She was fighting while swinging it around with ease.

She had asked me to buy one before leaving Daut city, but I didn’t think she could use it so skillfully.

Ao isn’t used to fighting, but she will probably get stronger under Ruri’s guidance.

With my Healing magic applied on the horses as they ran, the journey that was supposed to take four days was shortened to only three days.
