“Keisuke, go on a date with me.”

The day after making a promise to go on a date with Runa, Aoi approached Keisuke, who was already seated at his desk in the classroom.

“Uh… What?”

Perhaps surprised by the sudden request for a date from a fellow guy, Keisuke dropped his smartphone on the desk, wide-eyed.

“What’s wrong? Have you finally turned gay?”

Aoi reached out to Keisuke, who was slightly distancing himself by moving his chair.

“A siscon like me can’t turn gay, you know.”

“Then why are you asking me out on a date?”

Looking somewhat frightened, Keisuke timidly spoke with an expression of fear.

“My bad, I worded it poorly. I’m going on a date with Runa, and I thought you, being experienced with your fiancée, could suggest a good plan.”

“Ah, I see. That makes more sense.”

Relieved, Keisuke heaved a sigh. It seemed like he was glad his best friend hadn’t turned gay. Aoi pouted at the reaction, finding it somewhat disappointing.

When Aoi initially asked Keisuke out on a date, there was a burst of excitement from some female classmates, but he didn’t pay much attention to it. 

It seemed like there were fans of BL in the class. And apparently, some girl in class is writing a BL on Aoi X Keisuke.

“Still, going on a date with your sister. You’re really committed to the siscon lifestyle.”

“That’s just who I am.”

Aoi firmly believes that if he weren’t a siscon, he wouldn’t be the person he is today. He loves Runa unconditionally and is willing to do anything for her.

“Is it okay to go on a date with that condition?”

“We’ll be careful with the sunlight.”

As long as he uses UV-cut cream, a parasol, and avoids direct sunlight, Aoi believes he can manage well. 

Taking a bus to the station would also be a safer option, and sitting away from the window can protect her skin from UV rays penetrating glass. 

He just hopes for a cloudy or rainy day to minimize the risk of sunburn due to UVB radiation on the day of their date.

“But what about Minami?”

Keisuke looked for Minami, who hasn’t arrived at school yet.

“Ah, well, I have no intention of dating her.”

Although Minami often initiates conversations and presses her chest against him at school, Aoi is well aware of her feelings. 

He has no romantic interest in her, especially since his heart belongs solely to Runa. He knows that he’ll need to have a conversation with Minami soon to clarify things.

“Got it. But she’s like a childhood friend to me, so I would like to support her if I can…”

Since they used to play together as a trio, Keisuke seemed to feel a sense of responsibility to support Minami’s love. Aoi appreciated Keisuke’s sentiment but emphasizes the importance of planning the date with Runa.

“I’ll talk to Minami soon. But for now, let’s focus on planning the date with Runa.”

“Y-yeah…”

The significance of the date with Runa is clearly conveyed, and Keisuke responded with a somewhat subdued tone.

“We’ve decided on karaoke, but where else do you think would be good? We’ll be going on a weekend, but staying until night might be difficult.”

The karaoke place near the station has a rule that even during free time, customers must leave after three hours if it’s crowded. 

Aoi, contemplating with his finger against his chin, was trying to figure out where else they could go for their date.

“If it’s an indoor date, how about a manga cafe? Private rooms, unlimited manga and anime, and free soft drinks.”

“Hmm, I’ll keep that in mind.”

A manga cafe would be an ideal place for a date, providing privacy without the pressure of a time limit. 

Aoi immediately opened the note-taking app on his new phone and wrote ‘manga cafe.’

“Huh? Did you change your phone?”

“Yeah, the old one was getting slow.”

As Aoi continued to explore potential date ideas, Keisuke noticed the change in his phone.

“Enough about my phone. Tell me more suggestions for the date.”

“Got it.”

Until the bell rang, Keisuke bombarded Aoi with recommended date spots.
