“Ah, what’s…going…on?”

Aoi, who had stopped his nosebleed and tried to stand up, found himself swaying with no strength in his body. His vision was slightly blurred, and even raising the upper half of his body felt quite challenging.

“Nii-san?”

Runa, looking curious, gazed at him. In order not to worry her, Aoi must summon every ounce of strength to stand up. 

However, his body didn’t respond as he wished, making it impossible for him to stand up on his own.

“It seems like you’ve lost too much blood. Your face looks pale.”

Perceiving Aoi’s situation calmly, Runa approached and supported him. 

Having bled profusely from his nose for two consecutive days, it was understandable if he’s experiencing some dizziness. 

Runa’s body felt warmer than usual, probably because Aoi’s body temperature has dropped due to the nosebleed. 

Although this isn’t a life-threatening situation, it seems more blood has been lost than expected.

“I’ve never heard of getting anemia from a nosebleed, but we should go to the hospital.”

“Is it necessary?”

“Well, of course. Just take a look at the room’s trash can.”

As with yesterday, the trash can was full of tissues stained with blood due to continuous nose bleeding for nearly thirty minutes. 

Even though his vision was somewhat blurry, the color of the blood is clear. 

Given the evident symptoms of anemia due to nose bleeding, it seems like a trip to the hospital is the right call.

“Nii-san, you’re concerned about me, but you don’t worry about yourself, do you?”

Runa hugged Aoi tightly, expressing genuine concern. Indeed, Aoi prioritized Runa’s well-being, neglecting his own.

“Please, let’s go to the hospital. You’ve lost too much blood.”

Even though her tone was exasperated, there was a sincere worry in her voice. 

Aoi nodded, realizing that he shouldn’t neglect his health. Although he doesn’t want to cause unnecessary worry, the situation demanded a visit to the hospital.

“I don’t like hospitals because of the waiting, though.”

“Don’t say that; we’re going.”

Even though she seemed exasperated, her voice genuinely conveyed worry, indicating that Aoi’s face has probably turned blue. 

Since Runa isn’t the type to make jokes, his paleness must genuinely be a cause for concern. 

Unable to accurately gauge his own condition, he didn’t notice the dizziness until it became severe. And Runa was too busy trying to stop the nosebleed to notice the change in Aoi’s complexion.

“I’ll inform the school that we’re taking the day off.”

“Taking the day off? I’ve never missed a day; I have perfect attendance.”

Basically, for the sake of his health, Aoi has never skipped a day since entering high school.

“What’s someone who can’t even stand up alone saying? If you collapse at school, it’ll inconvenience everyone, you know?”

Certainly, Aoi thought.

Even if it’s anemia, if he were to collapse within the school premises, his parents would be notified, and it would be regrettable to disrupt their honeymoon. 

The reason why Runa, despite Aoi losing a considerable amount of blood to the point of finding it difficult to stand, doesn’t want to call an ambulance is likely because she doesn’t want to spoil their parents’ trip. 

Of course, the main reason for not calling is probably because Aoi is still conscious.

“To put your mind at ease, I’ll… stay by your side and keep an eye on you, okay?”

“We’ll take a taxi to the hospital.”

“Today is an exception. Since Nii-san seems unable to walk on his own, it’s impossible for me to support him while walking.”

Saying this with a sigh, Runa took her smartphone on the table and started making a call. 

Since they haven’t finished changing clothes, it’s unlikely that they’ll call a taxi now, and that call is probably to notify the school of their absence. Even though it’s not yet 7:30, it seems the staff are available.

“Now, let’s change and head to the hospital.”

After finishing the call, Runa helped Aoi change clothes, and he walked with her assistance to take a taxi to the hospital.
