- 44: I Still Have A Lot To Do...
A few days has passed
I had done it.
I had completed making my home.
From the furniture, the windows, the doors, the storage basement and to the water tanks with its function to provide flowing water straight into my home, I have done it.
All because of what I did to follow the instructions given by the all known book, the home was now livable.
The first thing I had issues with were the furniture lacking in my house. Thankfully since I lived by myself, I prioritized making the necessary needed furniture.
As for my bedroom, I needed these things:
A bed frame for the bed, a Nightstand, For placing a lamp and personal items, a Dresser or Wardrobe for my clothes and a desk with a chair.
For my living room, I needed a standing shelf for my peronal things, a coffee table for coffee while I rest and a thick wood sofa with a possible cushion in the future.
For the kitchen, I had to put up a shelf on top of the washing area, a dining table paired with two chairs, and a trash can where I would throw my trash in.
These furnitures took me a week just to complete…but it was worth it.
With the window glass, I had to look for Quartz sand and limestone to create common glass into this world. If I burn that quartz at around 1790 to 3090 degrees Fahrenheit, the the sand will melt. And using the limestone, it will stabilize the sand into a more durable window. Because of the AK book, I was able to find these materials not too far from where my house was. To it, the book actually directed me to the lake where it instructed me that a cave was found deep underwater. It told me that it was a cave filled with natural resources.
It was my first time going to swim in that lake and knowing nothing about it, I swim with caution.
At my first dive, I only had to find the cave’s location first. Using the map provided by the AK book, it was not hard to find the entrance of the cave. I had to dive for sixty seconds straight at a speed similar to a diver with proper equipment. During my dive, I realize just how deep the lake was right by my house. It was around 65 meters deep…something only around an ocean’s depth would have. Once I was at the floor level, I began to feel the cold flow of the lake’s depths…through it, I searched the entrance of the cave. It was murky and not very visible, I even had encounter with a few crabs while I was in there deep.
Once I found it, I was able to locate not just any ordinary cave under water, but a place that was blocked by a barrier of some sort.
‘…its blocked by some kind of bubble.” I thought as I stared at the wall that separated me from the entrance to the cave.
I was amazed to see that the cave’s entrance was big enough for even a humpback whale to pass through, so once I knew where the entrance was, I swam back up and took a breather.
During that time, I had to ask the AK book once again on how I would pass through the bubble.
And all the book answered me was…
[THIS IS A BARRIER MADE BY THE MOST SECLUSIVE ANIMAL KNOWN TO MAN. THE BLUE DRAGON. BLUE DRAGONS ARE THE KIND OF SPECIES THAT LIVE INSIDE UNDERWATER CAVES. BECAUSE OF THEIR SECLUSIVE NATURE, THE LAST TIME HUMANITY HAS FOUND THEIR SPECIES WAS AROUND 200 YEARS AGO, FOUND NEAR A CAVE BY THE BEACH OF A COUNTRY FOUND FAR EAST. APPROACH THE BLUE DRAGON WITH CAUTION FOR IT IS CAUTIOUS OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE ANYTHING THAT TREATS IT WITH VOILENCE.]
“…Okay, but how do I pass through the barrier?”
[THE BARRIER IS MADE UP OF DENSE WATER MANIPULATION MAGIC THAT HAS BEEN ACTIVE FOR 314 YEARS…DUE TO THE PASSING OF TIME, THE BARRIER IS BARELY AT ITS LIMIT TO HOLD ITSELF AGAINST ANY SUPPRESSIVE ATTACKS. ALTHOUGH BREAKING THE BARRIER BY FORCE WILL ULTIMATELY WAKE THE DRAGON UP AND CAUSE DESTRUCTION TOWARDS YOU AS THE TARGETED ENEMY; IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO PASS THROUGH THE BARRIER WITHOUT FORCE IS THROUGH A COMPLEX METHOD OF CRAFTING A WEAPON THAT IS COMPATIBLE TO THE NATURE OF THE MAGIC USED ON THE BARRIER. BY CUTTING THROUGH USING THIS MAGIC WEAPON BASED ON WATER, THE BARRIER WON’T BE DISTURBED AND YOU WILL PASS THROUGH THE BARRIER IN EASE.]
In its explanation, it gave me a detailed process on how to craft a knife that is capable and is compatible to the nature of water. It was called the Water Tibula Knife.
A kind of knife that was founded by a long lost tribe of the Tibula People. They were the kind of people who nurtured themselves and lived under the laws of water.
The process of making this knife was ultimately as difficult as that of the fire sword I created with Josy Brune, but this knife wasn’t one that needed the blessing of the sun or any kind of entity.
Through the craftsmanship blessing, I was able to create a knife made under the compatibility of water…having to test it, it was entirely different from a simple knife as it was once that could manipulate any near water by will of the user. It was simply a knife that relied ultimately on the nature of the person’s soul. A kind and calming personality was all that it took to use the water Tibula knife…if a person that was filled with hate and malice, the he would be rejected by the knife and to it, the ability to manipulate water at will.
It took me 8 hours to craft the knife…but after finishing it, I was finally able to pass through the barrier with ease.
The moment I went in, I was amazed to see the inside of the cave. Dark and cold, I had to light a lantern with me so that I can navigate through with ease.
I only had two objects in this cave.
Quartz sand and Limestone.
By myself, I searched deep in the caves, and to it, after taking in 20 steps, I was able to locate the two items I needed that easily.
So without wasting anymore time, I dug and gathered them with a shovel, a sack and a pickaxe.
It took me hours, but after finally gathering enough to make all the window glasses as well as an extra more for making any other forms of glass materials, I was on my way out.
I had no trouble with the aforementioned dragon since I was never able to meet with it , and I was thankful for that.
So with that said, I was finally able to make the window glass.
The first procedure to do in making the glass was melting it…thankfully, I was given a blacksmith’s furnace which was capable of even melting glass.
So I had no issues with that problem.
To form the melted glass into its proper shapes, I had to use the steel pine trees as the mold for my glass windows.
Thanks to it, in just a whole day of working to form the glass windows, I was able to complete the creation of glass for my home.
Next up was the piping for my tank. The most available resource that I could find in my area was copper. So thinking of it so, I decided to use copper pipes for my water to pass through.
The copper ores was found far off about three kilometers away from my home inside a cave that was occupied by a group of goblins. Thankfully attaining these materials weren’t as hard as attaining the ores deep in the waters. I just had to kill off all the goblin that were in the cave and then dig myself deep into the cave to find the ores I needed.
Using the AK’s knowledge, I was able to make a withstanding proper mining cave. By adding supports and a few latches in the cave, I had planned on using this cave for future projects I had in mind.
So starting now in making this cave usable was a start.
It just took about five days…but after it, I was finally able to obtain the copper ore I soo needed in my life.
The veins in this cave was big…big enough that it can even be possible for me to make big projects of in the future.
And other than just copper, the next abundant ore in this cave was iron…so with that said,I can have improvements in my home with the help of this cave in the future.
Filling up cart with a bunch of cooper and iron ores, I was able to finally make my way in turning these into pipes and tools.
Using the blacksmith’s furnace, I was able to easily melt down the copper…and with it, I molded it into a cylindrical shape. Each mold was about 1 meter wide…and since I was going to use a lot for the water pipes, I had to go back to the cave to fetch more copper ores.
It took me another five days just to completely make all the molded copper pipes…and to it, I took about a day’s work ot install it under the guide of the AK’s knowledge.
With that said, I was finally able to have a shower in my home instead of just going outside to fetch a drum of water. It took a lot of work, but it was worth the effort.
During my time working over these things, before I even started making the furniture and window glasses and even the piping, I had the priority to plant in my seeds into the fields..
And after about a month of working and waiting the plants were finally in its full state…
I had planted all sorts of seeds into my garden.
For Vegetables, I had Tomatoes, Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Lettuce, Cabbage, Peppers (bell peppers, chili peppers),Radishes, Garlic, Peas, Beans (green beans, snap beans), Corn, Cucumbers, Pumpkins, Eggplant, Okra and Gingers
For fruits, I had apples, bananas, oranges, Grapes, Strawberries, Blueberries, Lemons, Limes, Watermelons, Cacaos, Pineapples, Mangoes, Avocados and Pears.
For the spices and any other plants that I wanted as a child, I had to plant black pepper, a cinnamon tree, Paprika, Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Curry leaves and Turmeric.
Knowing what I have within me, thanks to the Sack that contained all the seeds which was gifted by Tellus herself, I made the promise to myself as well as my past, that I would care for these plants under the name of my deceased father.
This time, I won’t run away…
I won’t leave my responsibilities.
With these many seeds planted in my garden, I had to expand and separate the fruits from the vegetables and the spices. All for all, I used two hectares of the protected land.
Because of this, having to add another hectare of land left me with a pile of lumber by my house. It was so much so, that it was even enough to make another house.
But with this much lumber I had another project planned.
I had planned on building a barn for the cows and chickens I plan to raise in this forest. As well as make a separate building for storing my blacksmith tools and ores. It’ll probably take me another month…but with that said, I had the will to do this from the start.
I planned to use the other half of my lumber for the barn where I will again expand my land so that the barn can have an open space where it is surrounded by a fence. This is where the animals will roam and graze themselves in the open field.
As for the other half for the blacksmith forge. With that said, the blacksmith forge will be attached to the water mill that collects water into the tank at a daily basis. The forge will be attached to it so that I don’t have to have so many buildings in my area. It will be my workshop to fix and make things.
I wouldn’t exactly start now since I have everything that I need. I also have to harvest my plants now since some are already ripe for the taking.
Having the power to be able to nurture the plants I grew myself…it is quite hard to not notice that despite only having a month to pass since I planted these seeds, they have already grown quite well. It was time for the harvest.
So with that said, I picked a basket and made my way to the garden…
But as I did…walking across the garden that was filled with fully ripped vegetables and fruits, I noticed a person picking an apple on one of my apple trees and biting on it without my permission.
“…A trespasser? Here in the Flat Bioma?” I was confused at this sighting.
A person fully cloaked with a black hood, while carrying a bow behind him…
This person was sketchy…and most of all, he seemed dangerous.
“…Uhm…Hello?” as I called out to him, the man in black slowly turned my way and to it, I saw the sight of a weirdly pointy eared woman.
“…” the woman was quiet as she bite into the apple, and with it, she started approaching me rather carelessly.
“Um, can I ask who you are?” I asked, rather nervously at this person.
“…” but the woman was still silent as she continued to eat the apple, even its seeds.
“…Y-you shouldn’t eat the…seeds…” I commented.
“Hmm…” in her soft gaze, she looked at me rather cautiously from my head to my toes…
“…” feeling rather nervous myself, I had to put down my basket and tried to cautiously pull out my Tibula Knife of which I always carry with me.
“…There’s no need for violence.” she said as she felt threatened by the showing of my knife.
“I’ll ask again, who are you?”
“I’m the one who was brought here by her…”
“Her…Do you mean the Goddess of creation? Tellus?” I asked
“Hmm..seeing as how you know her name…you must be him after all.” she said.
“I still haven’t got an answer from my question, who are you?”
“I’m the carrier…the one who carries the seed of the Great goddess herself…”
“.…”
“My name is Mina, and I have been tasked to deliver this seed to you.”
To this introduction, she bowed herself in front of me and presented me the seed that I was tasked to grow…
