How to Create a Farm with the All-Known Fantasy Book - 43: Starting a Farm
2 weeks has passed since then…
During that time, I made the effort to gather the necessary materials needed to build my home in the land that was situated near the river.
By cutting about 50 steel pines trees in the area where I planned to make my garden, I used those trees to make my home. Along with the other building materials I obtained from Desvey town like hammer and a saw, to a barrel and 20 pieces of sacks, and even the necessary equipment given by Josy Brune to become a proper blacksmith, I had it all to make my home.
Thankfully because of the blessing granted by the book, I wasn’t having any problems with gathering the necessary materials. I could easily cut through the steel-pine trees as if they were nothing more than clay.
I planned to make a cottage farm that was two storey’s high and had a basement underneath that will serve as a food storage for my farmed materials as well as a freezer for my gathered meat that will be occupied in the future.
Simply put, I simply followed a basic floor-plan of what the book gave me in terms of my interest and preferences in a house fit for as a farm and as safe-house against the difficult natures of the environment. It really convenient to have the book since this system was like my own personal architect, but it was somewhat weird to see that this thing knew what I like as a home and didn’t like all to well…but other than that, it was alright.
It was hard making the house designed by the All-known book…and it was simply more harder knowing that I was doing this on my own. It wasn’t some camp that I would just live in for a couple of weeks…no, it was my home and everything it will be in the future.
But with the blessing of the craft, my mind and its ability to focus was simply extraordinary. For each pillar of a column, for each floorboard stuck to the supports and for each walls attached to a column and I put together on the spot, my mind would simply not be lead astray by the mentally and physically tiring aspect of this job.I simply moved on with no errors made whatsoever in the making of this home. Each hammer strike was perfect to the end, each carving was made flawlessly, each
It was such an addicting feeling that to some point, I actually had to work 24 hours straight…and to this work ethic, my body was suddenly shut down.
Like a heart attack that where as quick to its touch as it was, I fell while I was carrying one of the many lumbers on hand and I was crushed with no help to even come my way. The moment I woke up, I was found under a tree with the Capatora sitting my my side.
After just two weeks, I had done every necessary construction in the building aside for a way to connect water into the home and putting in the connections of electricity since this world doesn’t or hasn’t yet discovered the use of electricity yet.
The house had everything from a kitchen which had a sink and a stove. A living room where it had a chimney to when I would rest on winter times. My master bedroom where beside it were four guest rooms. Two bathrooms with showers were also installed from both the 2nd floor and the ground floor.
This all took me two hardy weeks to make.
But although the exterior and spaces were finished, I still had to plan on making the furniture for my living room, kitchen and bedrooms. A place to put my blacksmithing materials and tools, and a barn house for my animals as well as put some finishing touches on my basement as the storage place.
The doors were just a piece of blank wood attached to the frames and the windows were just plain wood for now, and with it, paint wasn’t yet applied.
I also have to make a proper way to install a running water line for my kitchen and bathroom. Thankfully, with the strong currents on the river near my house, I had the idea of making a water mill there which will act as the process of bringing water up to a homemade tank I plan to make out of the steel pine trees. Those tanks will have a connection of hoses that will be connected straight to my kitchen and bathrooms.
Because of my plan of using a Gravity-Fed system where the tank is placed a bit higher than that of the water-needing appliances, I wouldn’t need to fetch water anymore. Now with the help of the All-known book, I plan to make every needed necessity In this farm. But for now, I was quite satisfied with what I had.
Now that I was finished with the house, I was now focusing my time on my garden.
Using the space where I cleared out about fifty trees to use for my home, I had that space to be made as my garden.
With the use of reinforced mana body skill, I was able to pull out the roots from the trees with minimal effort.
It took an entire day but I was finally able to secure an open space of about a hectare of a field. This was a good start on making my farm field.
Here, I didn’t hesitate to plow using a hoe I made with the blacksmith tools and a steel pine branch as my handle.
To it, I plowed the fields for an entire day. Thanks to my reinforced body, I was only ever getting tired and only rested when I was thirsty. I cleared some rocks, pulled some weeds and even made sections of spaces for where I would plant different kinds of plants in this one hectare of a field.
Working for the entire day, I looked beyond the field and smiled seeing that my farm was finally starting to look like a farm in this rough forest.
Now building in a place where it was known to have lurking beasts in the forest, I had some encounters with a few wolves trying to eat me while I was working…but with the hoe, I simply killed them one by one and went back to work.
Seeing that I was a target to these animals, I had to do something that would ultimately protect me from the dangers of this forest at all times.
And the only thing that would give that form of answer was the All-known book.
Having to ask it, it gave me a few solutions. One that caught my eye out of the hundred answers was the one where it had me implement a barrier around my territory.
A long living barrier that would have the same quality as that of the barriers I made while I was travelling across the flat bioma.
So with that said, the next thing I knew was that I made the barrier.
The All-known book named this spell the “Arcane Barrier.”
Having to follow its directions, I was able to choose ten trees that would act as the form of support to stand the walls of my barriers. Each tree was carved out hollow with a special marking on their side…to it, I also had to draw a spell circle around each tree to form its charging point.
Now, after a day of making this many artifacts out of the trees, I finally activated the barrier. And as I did, I was amazed to find that it worked. It spanned all over my territory. About 10 hectares of space was made in this forest for my territory.
The Arcane Barrier was different compared to the usual barrier that I would use. For this barrier had an element.
The Shock Element.
An Element where if an enemy were to touch the barrier, he would be shocked by a huge current of electricity strong enough to knock him out but not enough to kill. And although I can increase the strength of the current in the barrier I decided not to, after all I didn’t want to have the issue of having to bury each animal I came across that would die outside of the barrier.
Now that the barrier was made, it did quick work with every animal that came close to its front. With its long height that went over 20 meters up to the air, it wasn’t a easy task to jump over such a tall barrier. only if I jumped using a reinforced body, would I pass through.
Other than jumping over it, If I do plan to leave my territory, I would have to use a certain key which was made out of the instructions by the all-known book. I crafted a key that would allow me to safely cross against the barrier for once this key touches the barrier, the wall would open up to me.
Having made this key, I had it turned into an accessory that hangs along my waist so that I wouldn’t lose it and have it with me at all times.

Now that the barrier was fully functional, I then made my way back to my house to rest.
The sun was setting, and I was tired from working all day, non-stop.
As I made it to the porch of my house, I rested on the staircase and simply watched as the empty fields soaked the sunset.
“…Hmm, what do I do with the seeds?” I asked myself thinking that I don’t have any ways to make plants that once came from my world.
But as I pondered while the sun was fully setting in and the night finally rose, I sensed the feeling of Tellus…
“…”
I looked over the moon, and there, I saw her figure.
“Hmm, it seems that you have made a home for yourself here.” she said as she stands in front of my home
“…Why are you here?” I asked.
“To let you do your next objective…”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“All of the past Guardians who failed and died under the hands of the followers of Rapture…there, they all had one common mission where I granted them along with there powers.”
“And what is this mission?” I asked.
“To grow my seed and protect it against the forces of evil.” she spoke.
“…Okay fine. Bring me this seed of your and I will plant it and I will protect it.” I said, remembering the deal I made with her on our first encounter.
“I do not have the seed…it is within the hands of my carrier. In a few days…she will come to this forest and she will gift you the seed. The two of you will nurture seed and protect it until it fully grows into the Tree where I am destined to be reincarnated in.” she said.
“…I see.”
Having to understand my role, I didn’t have any objections… but my mind still wandered on one thing on this spot despite the God of life within my land.
The seeds that came from my world.
“…What do you want…or more exactly, what is it that you desire?”
“…You do understand that I do not come from this world…I desire a taste of home…the seeds that comes from my home.”
“Hmm, sadness that condones to the idea of memory…of home…I understand. I will grant you your wish.” she said.
“What?”
“It is by my right and my responsibility that I will sustain the needs of my people…especially my guardians…I do not wish to lose you, so with that, I shall grant you your desire for a taste of home.” she said.
And to it, she walked close up to me and she then holds up her finger near my nose.
“…” clueless to what she was about to do, I only stayed my place in still.
“…Open your mouth and show me the memory of your tongue.” she said.
And to it, I hesitantly opened my mouth, to which she then reaches out within and touches my tongue with her pointing finger.
“!?” I was shocked.
But to my shock, I felt a coursing energy run across my tongue as if I was being feed with light and honey at the same time.
Soon after, she pulled away her finger and she then opens her palm to me.
There, she showed me a small sack that was producing a presence of something rather holy.
“W-what is this?” I asked.
“The sack of all seeds…I grant it to you…and I wish that you use this wisely.” she said.
And with it, she hands me the small sack where she then scatters after, into the stars of the night.
“…” speechless and perplexed, I stood in the weirdness of it all. It was like Jesus creating a miracle and I was just standing there, with no thanks to give…
But as I turned to the sack, I felt like I knew what this sack could do…
So I bowed my head and thanked her.
I thanked her for giving me the chance to taste home once again.
