When Croix's son, Alka, was fifteen, they received such a divine oracle. Following the oracle, Croix decided to entrust Alka to the kingdom's knights as a hero. Alka's caretaker, his childhood friend and fiancée, Saya, was to accompany him.
Just three short years later, only the worn and ragged Saya returned.
According to her, Alka had flaunted his authority as a hero, indulging in various women, receiving unjustly large rewards, and refusing to apologize for any issues that arose. He was reportedly behaving recklessly in the name of justice.
This infuriated Croix.
