Chapter 57: Aria-san Won’t Hold Back!
“Aria-san! We did it!”
“Yeah, congratulations, Adin-kun!”
Right now, it was our second quest. As night approached, we received a request to eliminate zombies that occasionally appeared near a cave in the demon lord’s territory. Fearing the danger they posed to the village, Aria-san and I set out to deal with the zombies in the cave and completed the quest.
Although I was with her, Aria-san was mainly there for support, and I was the one who defeated the zombies to gain more experience.
“You’re amazing! You did so well with light magic, even though you hadn’t practiced much because there aren’t many targets you can use it on. You managed to defeat them in one shot!”
“I think it was because the enemy was just zombies. If it were a stronger undead monster, I…”
“Who cares about that!? I just want to praise Adin-kun!”
With that, Aria-san hugged me.
She often did this kind of thing, but ever since we became lovers, the number of times she hugged me had at least doubled, and it was becoming quite overwhelming. Even so, I didn’t feel any discomfort or resentment, and in fact, it made my everyday life feel more fulfilling.
“By the way, this cave is so dark… It was bright because you were using light magic earlier, but without it, it’s so dark.”
“Yeah, without magic, I’d only be aware of this sense of touch from the tendrils of my awareness, touching you, Aria-san.”
“Ah…! You’re only aware of me touching you… Adin-kun! Now, we could do things we normally can’t here, like some sweet moments—”
“If we fall or get hurt in the dark, that’d be dangerous, so I’ll use light magic to improve our visibility.”
I said this and used light magic to illuminate the cave, then began walking toward the exit.
For some reason, Aria-san responded, “U-uh… okay…” as if she wasn’t very enthusiastic.
After reporting back to Milena-san and completing the quest, I still had some energy left, so I decided to continue training at the guild’s training hall with Aria-san.
“Since we’re at it, let’s focus on light magic for today’s training.”
“Okay!”
A little while later, as I was training for a few dozen minutes, Aria-san spoke up.
“Adin-kun! We’ve been out on a quest since morning, and it’s been a while since we started training. Don’t you think we should take a break and have lunch?”
“No, I’m still good—”
Since I still had plenty of energy, I wanted to keep focusing on my training, but Aria-san came over, hugged me, and whispered in my ear.
“Before, when we were still in a master and apprentice relationship, I held back a few times, but now that we’re lovers, I won’t hold back anymore… I want to have some sweet moments with Adin-kun, so how about we take a break and have lunch together?”
“…Alright, let’s eat.”
“Yay!”
With Aria-san happily saying this, we headed back to our lodging, where we shared the meal she had prepared.
“Adin-kun, today, not only the first bite but the whole meal—I’ll feed it to you.”
“All of it…!? T-that’s…”
“If you complain, I’ll just feed you without saying a word~.”
Before I could protest, Aria-san placed some food in my mouth.
…I reluctantly chewed and swallowed, and Aria-san asked with a smile.
“Is it good?”
“…Yes.”
“Then here’s the next bite, ah~.”
“…”
After that, Aria-san fed me the entire meal, and when she asked me to do the same for her, I was too embarrassed, so I agreed to feed her just one bite in return.
…Although nothing really changed in our everyday life with the people around us after Aria-san and I became lovers, it seemed that our time together as a couple was going to change a lot from now on.
