- Having Had My Bride Stolen, I Just Want to Live Peacefully
- Chapter 10 - Ex-fiance’s Side ② Tear
“As expected, cup noodles.”
“…Yes, it’s delicious.”
One day in the afternoon.
Minato and Himeno were eating lunch at home.
“What’s wrong Himeno? You don’t seem to like it. You were so impressed when you first ate it.”
“No, it’s delicious. It’s just…”
(After cooking at home several times, Minato-kun asked me to eat this. I had never eaten such instant food at home, so I was impressed when we first ate it together. I was glad that he remembered it and told me, But these days, it’s always been like this.)
“Oh, you mean you’re tired of the taste? Then if you put a lot of mayonnaise on it, it’ll taste really good!”
“Then shall I have some?”
(Minato-kun puts mayonnaise on everything. I don’t really like it because it tastes too rich, and I gain weight if I eat that much…)
“Yeah, try it. Ah, I found a new one the other day, and it’s called seafood hot chili cheese, and it looks delicious.”
Minato clapped his hands and took out another cup of noodles that he had bought and showed it to Himeno.
Himeno, who was directed at her carefree smile, retracts her dissatisfaction that had been coming up to her throat.
“A new one! Ah, it looks delicious!”
“Right? That’s all for dinner!”
(Haha, Himeno, the sheltered daughter, is very interested in the food of ordinary people. This should be all right.)
Minato turned around and sighed.
“Ah, I’m going to cook dinner today! You know, I only cooked it a few times when I came here, and I think it’s about time you missed my home cooking. Minato-kun said it was delicious, so you ate it all!”
(I was glad that I told him to leave it to me even though I cooked a lot of homemade food before and he ate it all. But at the end, he put mayonnaise on it…)
“What!? Well… I miss Himeno’s home cooking, but you must be tired from getting away from the ceremony and living in an unfamiliar place. You should relax today.”
“Is that so…?”
“Yes! Even if you look fine, you’re actually tired! You don’t have to worry about me, so let’s have this new cup noodle today, okay? I’m worried about Himeno.”
Minato sweats heavily and says with an awkward expression.
“Are you worried about me? Minato-kun is kind… Yes, I’ll have cup noodles again today.”
Without noticing Minato’s distress, Himeno blushed and accepted his suggestion.
(Ah, that was close. I was able to avoid Himeno’s homemade dishes again today.)
Minato wiped his sweat with the sleeves of his clothes so that Himeno wouldn’t find out.
(I’m glad she’s doing her best, but it’s really hard to have that dark matter, unknown liquid, and a taste that doesn’t seem to belong to this world every day. Also, when we buy ingredients for cooking, I get nervous because she tries to buy the best ingredients at the department store, saying it’s for me. It takes a lot of time to think about what to buy every time, and she spoils it, and it’s hard for me both financially and mentally.)
“Thank you for the meal.”
“Then I’ll throw away the container.”
“Thank you Minato-kun.”
Minato, who has finished eating cup noodles, stands up and goes to the sink with the finished container of Himeno’s.
(Aah, I’m getting tired of cup noodles and instant noodles, too. Haa, I can’t cook, should I invite Mizuki to cook for me for the first time in a long time? Or should I like Mizuki to teach Himeno how to cook? I have to do something about this.)
Minato felt that they couldn’t eat like this, but the solution was left to others.
“Alright, I’ll do the laundry.”
“…I’m so sorry for everything.”
Himeno apologized to Minato’s muttering.
“Don’t worry. I’ve been alone for a long time, so I don’t mind this much.”
(If I leave the laundry to Himeno, it will be like before again. I can’t stand it.)
Minato was cursing inside behind his smile.
He remembered the first time Himeno came to his house.
When he asked Himeno to wash his clothes, she said, “Should I clean it?”
They don’t normally do much cleaning in ordinary clothes. It’s just nice clothes, suits and coats.
If they do that every day, it won’t be ridiculously expensive.
When he asked her how she usually did laundry, she said, “I have a maid do it for me.”
He thought it was interesting because he felt like a sheltered rich girl, but when he thought about the future, Minato had no choice but to think about the future.
She had asked how regular people do their laundry, so he said, “I use a washing machine to do the laundry.”
Himeno seemed to be interested in washing machines and said she wanted to try them herself.
Minato taught her how to operate it before he left it to her, but it was a failure.
When Minato heard Himeno’s cry, the room was covered with bubbles.
Apparently, she used up all the detergent at once.
Then he had a hard time cleaning and washing it again.
No matter how much he taught her, no progress was made, so Minato had to do the laundry.
(Housework is done every day, and it’s hard not to be able to divide them up…)
Despite Minato’s inner feelings, Himeno made a suggestion.
“Hey, Minato-kun, I’d like to meet your parents soon but when will they be back?”
“Meet them?”
“Because we’re getting married. I need to meet them, right?”
Himeno shows Minato the toy ring on her left ring finger.
“Oh, right. I’ll ask them.”
“Yes, please! Also, I’d like you to meet my parents…”
Himeno looks down with difficulty.
“Aah, yeah. I thought I should meet them and apologize!”
“Really? I’m glad you thought about it. But I was worried that we might get in trouble…”
“Well, we may get in trouble, but we have found true love. If we talk it out properly, they’ll understand.”
“That’s right. This is true love, after all. They’ll understand, won’t they?”
They decided to apologize to Himeno’s parents.
True love. They were very optimistic that their parents would understand if they told them so.
They didn’t even know what would happen to them.
I thought she was just a little rich, not because she has zero common sense. Minato bit off more than he could chew, so I figured he was poor and had no job prospects.
He is going to be in for a wake-up when he realizes her parents will not support them and will probably disown her for the shame.
