When I Reincarnated, I Became Even More of a Gorilla - 31
Each of the Four Heavenly Kings (which only consists of 3 members) each began their self-introductions.
First to speak was the Goblin on the far right. Prompted by Eric, the Goblin began his self-introduction but seemingly unsure of what to say, he spoke while confirming with Eric.
[Gugyagya. (Me, name, Baito. Species, Goblin Elite. Masta, Pratty, Clueto. Viscount? Her.)]
[Kiikii. (Umu.)]
The introduction Baito gave under Eric’s prompting covered the same points I did and was sufficiently concise.
While his words were a bit difficult to understand, if one mentally ruminates on his words, they could figure out what he was saying.
“My name is Baito. I’m a Goblin Elite, and my master is the daughter of Viscount Pratty=Clueto.”
What he meant shouldn’t be too far off from this.
Because his speech has some peculiarity to it, there might be some slight modifications needed for proper nouns, but since Eric didn’t correct him, this should be fine.
I see. There’s something called Elite among Goblins huh. In the “Sage’s Forest”, Goblins also exist, but I don’t think there were any Goblin Elites.
The atmosphere around Goblin Elites may be indistinguishable from ordinary Goblins, but their appearance is quite different.
First of all, their cleanliness is different. Even considering that they were in the forest, Goblins were dirty and smelly. Since they’re like that even when they’re bathing in water, there’s nothing much to be done about them.
They also have low intelligence levels, to the extent that I’m unable to understand any meaning from their words. Their ranks would also probably be around 1 or 2.
With this guy’s neat clothing, a 7:3 hairstyle, and even wearing glasses, regardless of his master’s preferences, this one looks smart. It makes one wonder if this is what Elite means.
[Kiikii. (Baito is a familiar of someone in the highest grade among the students at this academy. She’s in the same grade as my servant.)]
[Oog. (Hmmm.)]
I’m not interested, so I lightly brushed it off. It’s just gonna be pointless information even if I were to ask about it anyway.
Seemingly grasping my reaction, Eric moves on to the next self-introduction. The next one to introduce seems to be a four-legged dog(?) monster. It’s a black dog that kinda looks like a wolf, so it might be a wolfdog or something like that.
His fur looks nice, and I feel the urge to touch it, but the salaryman in me thinks that touching people you just met is just rude, so I refrained from doing so.
[Kiikii. (Next is Volf. You’re not good at talking either, right? A simple self-introduction like Baito’s is fine. I’ll provide brief explanations.)]
[Won. (Got it).]
It seems Eric really is quite kind huhh. Although his arrogant tone might lead to him being misunderstood, he seems to have a caring personality for those below him.
The dog called Volf, happily wagging his tail, began his self-introduction.
[Won! (Volf. Black Dog. Master, Mardock.)]
Volf’s self-introduction was more concise than Baito’s, with each word being an answer. Perhaps feeling that this wasn’t enough, Eric provided all the details. Although I understood what he meant, I just decided to upfrontly accept his additional explanation.
[Kiikii. (Sorry about that. There aren’t many who can articulate fluently other than me. I’d be happy if you got used to it.)]
[Oog oog. (Unn, it’s alright. If I can understand even a little, I can guess the rest of the content.)]
[Kiikii. (I appreciate you saying that. I’m also teaching them words and letters, but it’s not going well. What he just said was “My name is Volf. I’m a Black Dog. My master is Mardock.”)]
Since I also understood the content, I listened to check the accuracy and then asked a question that made me curious.
[Oog? (Doesn’t his master, Mardock, have a family name?)]
That question stemmed from the fact that everyone I’ve encountered so far seems to have a surname, but Eric already knew the answer.
[Kiikii. (Volf’s master is a commoner. In this Parverna Kingdom, only nobles are allowed to have family names. A worthless custom, it was.)]
Spitting out these words, he added additional information to Volf’s self-introduction.
[Kiikii. (Mardock is a year above your master, Lady Gladysbalt. Although they don’t directly interact as fellow masters, it shouldn’t hurt to know. )]
[Oog oog. (I see.)
As for me, as long as Elena is not harmed, I don’t really care, but knowing about this might be useful some time. Eric seems to be able to write letters too, so maybe I should learn how to write from him as well.
[Kiikii. (Now then, Musashi, it’s your turn to introduce yourself. You may not need my additional explanation, but I’ll give it when necessary.)]
The last to introduce himself seems to be a big guy called Musashi. He is bigger than anyone else here, and looks strong. His muscles are quite developed, and if it’s just strength, he might be able to compete with that bear.
[Gurururu. (I am Musashi. I’m an Ogre, and my master is a 6th-year student at this academy, the same year as Gorimatsu’s master. His name is Blast=Zaim. That’s all.)]
It seems like he’s an Ogre. On closer inspection, I can see two small horns on his head. Even so, he’s quite polite.
I had the impression that monsters like Ogres were more violent and would rampage when hungry, but I guess I have to change my perception.
He definitely doesn’t resemble Orcs, and his intelligence level is quite high.
[Kiikii.(There’s no need for supplementation, but here’s a little bit about him. I met him for the first time a few days ago, but Ogres as polite and smart as him aren’t common. His upbringing must have contributed to his growth like this. Even I was surprised, so you probably are too.)]
[Oog oog. (Unn. I was surprised. His upbringing?)
Since Eric mentioned something interesting, I decided to ask about it.
