Once we arrived in the Capital, things moved quickly. It seems that Elena had informed her family about our meeting, as we were picked up by them.

I felt bad for the Captain and the knights who had gone in first, but this kind of modest arrangement is nice. Of course, it would be difficult to make such a request to them, considering their vigilance against monsters.

For me, this was my first time in a human town, so everything I saw felt novel. Certainly, if we compare this place to the civilization level of my previous life, it might be considered lower, but the fact that someone like me is referred to as a Sage already indicates their level of civilization, so I don’t intend to make comparisons.

Now, I heard that they’re going to the mansion where the lord is waiting for them, so let’s just sit quietly in the girls’ arms.

I looked at my own palm and found the same mark as Elena’s there.

Heehhh…… I have one too huh. I guess this proves I’m a familiar by showing this to others.

[Basically, the contractor is never separated from their familiar, but there are times like when the familiars are sent out to search for the enemy. For such cases, the familiars are trained to show their palms when they meet a person. Gorimatsu doesn’t need training like that though.]

I guess that’s why Elena wanted a smart familiar. However, palms would be something only those with hands like mine would have, but I wonder how it goes with those that don’t have it?

Well, whatever. While we were talking like this, we seemed to have arrived at our destination.

The two of them welcomed me and led me inside. Hmmm. I could let things go like this, but something seemed to be waiting for us.

It seems that this guy’s a father who dotes on his daughters. He must dote on them quite considerably considering his interest is only directed in his daughters, even though he was captured by something that should be as impactful as a gorilla plushie.

The way he was acting towards his daughters before and the way he was acting toward me like I’m some esteemed noble, he certainly is the head of his family.

Thanking her, I was swept along with her antics. There was no point in resisting anyway. Misha may look like a young lady, but she’s pretty stubborn.

Their father drooped his head in frustration seeing me like that, but I wonder what exactly is with those feelings of his? Feeling envious of being treated like a doll, that’s just weird.

Elena leads us through the mansion. Our next destination seems to be the office. For them to decide to use their father’s room as they pleased, I could tell that his position in this family is weak.

Well, it seems like their mother has already passed away, so maybe he’s caring about them too much as their father. That makes him a wonderful father.

While being held by Misha, I chuckled at the thought of her father.

I wonder if such a good father who loves his daughters will approve of me being her familiar. Even though I currently look like this, I think I’m strong enough to protect Elena.
