For Some Reason, I’m Almost Locked up by the Most Beautiful Girl in School Who Can Hear My Inner Thoughts - Chapter 10-11
Chapter 10
Well, what kind of situation was this?
My mother and Shimozuki-san’s mother weren’t supposed to know each other.
“Yuki-kun, it’s been a while since we met in person. You’ve grown, and you’re still super cute.”
“Wait, Shimozuki-san’s mom. Please calm down.”
Why did this happen? It started a few hours earlier.
Shimozuki-san had said, “Why don’t we study at my house?”
****
School ended, and it was after school.
“Mitsuki, we talked about studying together after school today, right?”
“Yeah. But what’s up? Did you get some plans or something?”
“No plans, but…”
Well, how should I explain this?
I had explained my relationship with Shimozuki-san to Mitsuki on the way home before, so he wouldn’t be surprised.
But Mitsuki had confessed to Shimozuki-san in the past. Still, just because it felt a bit awkward for me to study with Shimozuki-san, I dragged Mitsuki into it without asking.
This might just make things even more awkward.
Why did I drag Mitsuki into this just because it felt awkward? To begin with, it wasn’t good that I felt uneasy and said, “Shall we study together?”
…There’s no point worrying about it now. I should just explain it simply.
“Is it okay if Shimozuki-san studies with us?”
“Huh?”
“Some stuff happened yesterday.”
When I told Mitsuki what happened yesterday, he made a face that looked happy, complicated, and hard to describe.
“I got rejected by her once, so it’s a bit awkward.”
“Yeah, sorry for bringing this up so suddenly.”
“…No, if Shimozuki-san is okay with it, I’m totally fine.”
“Thanks. Shall we go then?”
I walked with Mitsuki to where Shimozuki-san was waiting.
Mitsuki was probably sorting out his feelings, as he didn’t talk on the way.
“Oh, Sasaki-kun.”
“Sorry for making you wait.”
Shimozuki-san was already waiting and waved at us with a smile.
Seeing that, Mitsuki was surprised by the contrast with Shimozuki-san, who usually talked boredly with boys in class. His cheeks turned slightly red, but I decided not to point it out.
“Sorry, Shimozuki-san. We’re intruding.”
“No, I’m the one intruding, so I’m sorry.”
When Mitsuki spoke, Shimozuki-san’s warm demeanor changed to her usual cold gaze, and Mitsuki’s face stiffened.
“W-Well, shall we go to the library?”
Trying to escape the awkward atmosphere, I said that, but Shimozuki-san said something surprising.
“Wait. If it’s okay with Sasaki-kun and Yamashita-kun, why don’t we study at my house?”
Mitsuki and I froze at her words.
Of course, we knew nothing would happen, but anyone would react like this if the school’s cool idol invited them to her house.
“Um, let me explain. Studying outside makes me worry about people’s stares, and I can’t focus.”
If that was her reason, I guess it couldn’t be helped… or could it?
This was a sensitive issue, and only she would understand, so poking into it would be tactless.
I nodded, convinced.
“Got it. I’m okay with it. Mitsuki?”
“I’m fine too if Shimozuki-san is okay with it.”
“Sorry for dragging you into my selfish request.”
She smiled happily.
So, we headed to her house and stood at the entrance.
“Mom, I’m home.”
She went inside, and Mitsuki and I followed, stepping in.
“Excuse us.”
Then, someone who looked a lot like Shimozuki-san came running toward us from the back.
“Welcome home, Noa-chan. And welcome back, Yuki-kun. Yamashita-kun, make yourself at home.”
“…? Thank you.”
Something felt off, but I couldn’t focus on that now.
We took off our shoes, washed our hands at the sink, and were led to the living room.
As expected, we weren’t studying in Shimozuki-san’s room.
The living room was very clean and had a calm atmosphere.
“Both of you, sit there. I’ll bring some drinks.”
“Got it. Thank you.”
Mitsuki and I sat where she told us, feeling nervous and exchanging glances.
“Shimozuki-san’s mom is really beautiful, huh?”
“Yeah… You’re not gonna say you fell for her at first sight, right?”
“No way I’d say that, so don’t worry.”
We joked a bit and calmed down as Shimozuki-san returned.
“Sorry for the wait. I only had black tea. Is that okay?”
“Yeah. Thanks, Shimozuki-san.”
“Thanks.”
“There’s stick sugar, so add it as you like.”
We took a sip of the tea she made and started studying.
After about thirty minutes, we got a bit used to the house and studied like usual.
Shimozuki-san was, as expected, really smart.
She explained things we didn’t understand clearly and quickly.
It was kind of funny that Mitsuki’s eyes kept going to her chest when she was teaching him.
I thought about teasing him on the way home while we studied. Before I knew it, we had studied for an hour and a half.
My focus broke, and maybe because of the tea, I needed to use the bathroom.
“Sorry, Shimozuki-san. Can I use your bathroom?”
“Yeah. It’s at the end of the hall when you leave the living room.”
“Thanks.”
I got up, opened the living room door, and ran into Shimozuki-san’s mom.
“Excuse me. Can I use the bathroom?”
“Oh, sure. I’ll show you the way.”
She grabbed my hand and started walking.
She moved forward eagerly, still holding my hand, and I was confused. Before I knew it, she led me not to the bathroom but probably to her bedroom.
…Why?

Chapter 11
“Please calm down, Shimozuki-san’s mom.”
“It’s fine, I’m calm.”
“It’s not fine at all, and I’m not calm, so please let go.”
I was hugged on the bed and couldn’t do anything.
If I moved carelessly, it might seem suspicious, so I raised both arms, insisting on my innocence.
“Sorry. But let me hug you a bit more. I need to recharge my Yuki-kun dose.”
“There’s no such dose coming from me.”
“There is! It’s like a drug!”
Shimozuki-san’s mom said this while burying her face near my collarbone, sniffing.
“Also, don’t call me Shimozuki-san’s mom. Call me Yukika or Mama.”
“No way.”
“It’s not impossible!!”
We just met, and there’s no way I could call Shimozuki-san’s mom by her first name so casually. Calling someone else’s mom “Mama” is way too embarrassing.
“Don’t be shy. If you don’t call me that, I’m not letting go.”
“What?!”
Whether I moved forward or stayed still, it was hell. What should I do?
If she kept hugging me like this, Shimozuki-san might get suspicious about me taking too long in the bathroom and come check, causing a disaster.
Plus, my bladder might burst, and I’d wet myself.
“Even if you wet yourself, I’ll take care of it, so it’s okay.”
“No, thank you.”
For some reason, she read my thoughts, which was strange, but I had no choice but to call her by her name.
I couldn’t call her Mama, though.
“Yukika-san, please calm down and let go.”
“…Fine.”
She let go, looking slightly unhappy but somehow happy too.
“Thank you.”
“I’m only letting go for now. If I get the chance, I’ll do it again.”
“…Please don’t.”
She said something outrageous with a smile, so I probably made a bitter face.
Still, why did she have such a good impression of me?
I searched my memory, but I had almost no connection with Shimozuki-san’s mom.
Maybe I forgot, and we met before, but for her to be this close, there must have been some deep connection.
“Why are you doing this? Have we met somewhere?”
“…Yeah, you were little, so you don’t remember.”
She said this with a sad look on her face.
So, we had met in the past.
Maybe she was my mom’s friend, and we met when I was a baby?
That’s the only thing I could think of.
“If you don’t remember, I guess I’ll have to tell you.”
“Sorry.”
“It’s okay. I figured you wouldn’t remember.”
She said this and started talking.
