For I Am A Side Character - 64: Fighting General Lordship S-rank
With heavy breaths taken in and out, Soril was glaring at the last piece of enemy found in the dungeon.
With the last knight held between the throat, Soril simply showed the bastard what for…
[Shield Breaker]
Using a palm strike directly on the struggling knight’s neck, one push was all it took to obliterate every inch of armor and body this knight had and what remained was the sight of his head handing on the grip of Soril’s hand.
“…Finally, their all dead.” he said as he falls to his knee…
All of his swords were broken with not a single one remaining, and all he had left was his shield that barely was keeping itself together. His armor, the one gifted by Jessica, the one item that took all of the damage from the swords, each of its plate were all starting to loosen and one clean hit to the chest was all it would take to break the Foldguard.
The struggle of fighting for hours simply took this much toll on him. Compared to when he trained with his brother, this kind of experience was more bloodlusted, knowing that each knight was after his life.
But now, it was over. He couldn’t feel a single presence of life in the room.
And with it, the growth he gained from this dungeon was simply something he could barely believe he achieved. In just this time alone, he was able to reach a level nearly comparable to that of an A-ranked hunter…
Yet even so, for some reason, the system did not initiate the completion of the conquering of the dungeon.
“…Damn, I knew something like clearing an S-rank dungeon wouldn’t be easy…something like this should have a boss fight in the end.” he said as he had this nervous smile on his face.
And soon after his wicked comment, the room was suddenly shaking, signifying the next stage of the fight.
“…?” from small vibrations to large quakes, the roofs were starting to fall apart.
Thinking that they might collapse, Soril was ready to fight a monster that would fall off from the roof, but to his assumption, nothing came from the roof, but something did crash through the walls.
*BOOM!*
Without hesitation, the one thing that came busting out of the walls came straight forward to Soril’s direction.
“!?” the speed of this enemy was unnatural. Soril himself could barely comprehend it even with the enlightened domain activated.
The enemy came close at such the speed that Soril could barely move to react. And with no warning whatsoever, the enemy came and took him by the throat.
“Khk!”
Large bulky arms came out of nowhere and held him high off the ground, and soon continued moving straight down the other wall. With no sign of stopping, the enemy crashed Soril down the wall, causing him to cough up blood from the impact.
*Cough!*
*Cough!*
*Cough!*
In that moment, Soril found himself being held up by the enemy…
And soon, it revealed itself to him.
[General Lordship – Rank S]
Wearing a violent dark armor to emphasize his power, and a helmet that showed the halo of an angel, along with the emblem of God’s being and form of religion, this enemy was truly something that resembled a General’s rank.
‘W-what?…damn…it’s an S-rank monster…’ he thought as the airways of his lungs were being blocked by the heavy grip of the monster named the General Lordship. Soon, his sight were starting to blur…he was losing air fast.
Knowing that he was losing, he had to attack the bastard head on.
Using his flexibility and Enlightened Domain, he quickly grabbed hold of the bulky arms this Dark-armored monster and he manuewered his body all to a point where he twisted it enough to kick the monster straight in the head.
*Thung!*
His kick produced an echoing metal clang that shooked the enemy enough the loosen his grip. Seeing his chance, he quickly followed that kick with another and another.
Each kick was just as strong as the last, yet even so the monster was able to bear his attacks.
Until finally, he took his finally kick with an added reinforcement of his mana.
‘Take this!’
As he kicked him again straight in the head, the force of his kick was enhanced enough that it was able to push the General back straight to the other end of the wall.
Finally, Soril was free from his grasp, yet he still could feel the pain on his neck.
“Damn bastard.” he said as he rubs his neck.
He didn’t have time to waste though as soon, the bastard came running towards him again. And this time, the bastard pulled out his fist and aimed for Soril’s head.
“!?!” as quick as Soril was, he dodged the bastard’s left hook and he returned the offer with a straight uppercut to his abdomen.
*Thung!*
And yet again, the with his fist hitting the heavy armor, it rain across the room like a bell. Yet even with his fist, the General barely felt the pain from this attack.
Seeing no reaction at all, Soril tried to distance himself from the powerful boss. As he tried to jump back, the General was able to grab him by the leg, and with it, he was slammed straight to the ground like a snake in the sack.
*Thud!!*
“Kahhh!” blood was being vomitted from his body because of the impact, and with that heavy impact, the Foldguard Armor was destroyed into pieces.
No longer was he protected from the armor.
And even then, the General still didn’t let go. Instead from slamming him straight into the ground, what followed was a constant beating that caused his leg to break in half. The general slammed him at every wall and every floor that wasn’t spilled with his blood.
*Krak!*
He could hear his bones break like a twig…and with it, he felt his blood dripping straight down to his face as the General finally raised him from his leg up from the ground. The beating was over…and Soril was barely alive then.
“Ahh….” He was being played by this monster…as not once did it feel like a fight. Just a massacre.
And at one final attack, the General started spinning Soril around from his leg like a sling, and with it, the General threw him down straight to where the Angel’s statue stood.
*Boom!*
Crashing through the table, and even the angel’s figure himself, Soril was now the one laying down on the cauldron filled with the stone figure of fire in the form of hell.
“God…for fucks sake…I think I really will die at this rate.” he mumbled to himself as he reached out to the system in front of him.
‘Haa…there’s no time for me to hesitate…’
Packing everything he had in the chance given to him…he reached to his profile and started adding some stat points into his Strength and Agility.

With it, he also bought something from the System point store.
One Health Potion which costed 1 point
One Mana Potion which costed 1 point
And one Aranean Light Armor Set which costed him 7 points
All in all, he spent a lot for his for his chances to rise.
With it, he quickly drank the health potion first and the mana potion next.
As he did, he felt the General Lordship making his way to him in shallow yet menacing manne.
[Would you like to equip the Aranean Light Armor Set?]
[Y/N]
As quick as his fingers touched the yes option, the General suddenly arrived and held him by the throat again.
“KhK!” and yet again, Soril felt trapped.
Yet as the General grabbed him from his place, soon, the Armor set was slowly starting to wrap around Soril’s body and the potion he rank was starting to take effect.
Not long after, his broken leg was healed and the light in his eyes were starting to burn bright.
“…Fuck off.”
And without holding himself back, he delivered the strongest punch he could ever conjure in his entire life.
A punch so fierce was made that it pushed the General back to the entrance of the dungeon.
*Boom!*
And out from the dust of the altar’s cauldron…
Soril, wearing a set of light armor, filled with the red patterns similar to the Aranean Culture of a dragon’s scale, where the helm boasts a fearsome visage, reminiscent of the dragon’s fierce countenance, while the chestplate gleams with a radiant glow, symbolizing the dragon’s unyielding strength. Soril stood stronger and more rougher than his usual visage.
Like a dragon born anew, Soril glanced wildly and enraged.
With no weapon but his fist, he stood his ground against the General Lordship.
He dashed forward, screaming like an enraged beast. With his fist about and ready to pummel down, he showed power unlike any other…
“Die!!” he said as he was able to quickly reach the other end of the dungeon, where there, the general stood and quickly meet his fist with his own.
The two fist clashed with one another, causing the very room to shake and the roof to crumble.
*Thud!*
*Thud!*
*Thud!*
*Thud!*
*Thud!*
Exchange after exchange, the two were out for each other’s lives.
Not one seemingly afraid of how where this was leading to.
But one thing was certain, one person was coming out of this alive.

Inside a dungeon somewhere in the Diamond Reef City, one boy was found conquering a dungeon by his own.
Inside a B-ranked gate…he alone stood facing an army of Giant Scorpions on his own.
Here, he fought valiantly.
[Arcane Sword Arts: Slashing Fault of the External Divine.]
in a single slash, he cleared away the row of scorpions in his path.
And as he continued to fight for longer and longer, he soon felt something inside of him that burned his chest.
“!?”
This sudden sensation of pain, caused him to stop his raid.
“W-what is this?” he thought to himself as his chest was slowly heating up more and more…
And soon, his entire body suddenly turned aflame and with it, he felt a sudden burst of energy…which lead to an uncontrollable explosion.
*Boom!*
That single explosion teared away every scorpion in the vicinity.
And what happened after that was the sight of the boy seen lying on the floor nearly dead.

Its not hard to imagine what it would feel like to have your hands being ripped apart by an enraged monster…its not hard.
Either two things could happen.
You could die while being in shock by your arms being ripped apart or you could feel an unimaginable pain surging inside you that caused you to burst out screaming like a bitch.
And out of those two things, one other thing can also happen…
The one being ripped apart can simply watch in silence as he takes it like a man.
That was whats happening to the General Lordship.
Being stepped on his head, Soril took every inch of power he had and pulled away the arms of this bastard.
“Khk-kaa!!!!” screamed Soril as he finally ripped one arm out.
“…” and like a silent, unspeaking monster, the General simply took this as he laid in defeat.
“…Haa, you really gave me a hard time. You bastard.” Said Soril as he tossed the arm away.
“.…I don’t get how you always aimed for my neck? Like is that your fetish or something?” he asked as he sat over the General’s dying body.
Unmoving from the fight that lasted more hours than the fight Soril had with the knights and mages, it finally came to an end and Soril came out on top.
“…”
“Haa, I guess you won’t even say anything. Damn…either way, I won, you bastard.” he said as he held the General’s head on his ears and he forcibly twisted his neck, finally killing him on the spot.

“Hmm…now then, lets get our skill from the shrine and get out of here” as he said this, he went to the destroyed table near the alter and picked up the bible that was the reason why the knights tried to kill him in the first place.
As he touched the book with both hands, he felt a sudden change in his senses…
Both danger and not danger…
A mix of two feelings wasn’t good.
And without any preparation at all, the bible on his hand suddenly turned into a blast of light that blinded him instantly.
“Ahh!”
He dropped the book to the floor and with it, as his sight was starting to come back, he realized that the entire room changed…
It was a familiar feeling he felt before.
‘…huh, I know what this is.’ he said as he turned around and noticed that time has stopped.
And in his action to turn, he saw God right in front of him…
God who had this angry expression…
With his arms crossed and his mouth in a frown, God asked him a question.
“…Why are you here?” God asked.
And there, Soril felt nothing but insecurity…
He felt like as if he had done something wrong.
He had done something bad.
