Chapter 51: Just the Two of Us at Night in a Foreign Land

“Ike-sama, you’re always so amazing no matter where we are.♡”

Luna and I were lying on a bed in a guest room within the Elf Kingdom’s royal palace. We were holding hands while staring into each other’s eyes. Since we were already husband and wife, they had given us a private room just for the two of us. We had finished our dinner and now that no one else was around, Luna and I were free to spend our time as we pleased. 

By the way, Alisa and Marsha-nee were sharing a room together. They said staying in a room alone would be boring after all.

“I’m amazing no matter where we are, huh?”

“Yes. Everywhere~♡”

Luna smiled blissfully as she lied on the bed. We were not in Sulfur, so Luna couldn’t take a warm bath. She had to take a bath in cold water, but despite that, she was emitting a delightful vanilla scent. This must be what people referred to as pheromones. Which meant, from a biological standpoint, Luna was an attractive woman. 

“I’m happy, but it’s not that I’m amazing wherever I am.”

“Huh?”

Luna looked surprised at my response. When she was surprised, her eyes would open a little wider. That expression of her was so incredibly adorable. 

“I’m only amazing when I’m with you. I don’t care about anyone else. I just need you to think of me as amazing. That’s all that matters to me. So… Can you please acknowledge my effort for you? I’m not doing it for everyone. Just you. Only for you.”

In the end, I did everything just to make myself look good in front of Luna. I wanted her to think of me as amazing. She was the girl I loved after all. She was the only reason why I worked this hair. 

“Ike-sama… You’re being unfair…”

Luna pouted her lips cutely. She was so adorable. When she looked that adorable, I wondered which one of us was being unfair.

“Even if you don’t do all those things, I already only have eyes for you, Ike-sama.♡”

“I’m glad to hear you say that.”

Considering the treatment original Ike and Luna had to suffer through in Fortune Lover, I was incredibly happy. Both Luna and I were destined to die in the original storyline and even though I had been working hard to prevent that end, there was no guarantee that we wouldn’t still end up dying in the end. To be honest, I was still anxious about it.

“To be honest… I also want Ike-sama to stop worrying about other people’s opinion about you. I want you to look only at me and be satisfied just with me, so much so that you won’t bother thinking about anyone else. I will take care of you for life, Ike-sama. I will do anything as long as I can stay by your side.♡”

“Hahaha… I’m happy if that can come true, Luna…”

I would become unable to live on my own if I kept on relying on Luna. I wondered would Luna still love me despite that? I might end up just like the original Ike Hanbulg if I were to accept Luna’s words as they were. I would become a detestable scum who shouted things like “Females like you should just shut up and offer their breasts to me…!”

“But you know, I’m still lacking in many things, so please let me know if there’s anything you want me to change.”

“Ike-sama, there’s no way I could have any complaints about you. You are fine as you are.”

Luna said with a smile on her face. She really knew the right words to soothe my heart.

“Really? Do you really not have anything you want to change? At all?”

I asked and Luna finally sighed. 

“Actually… There is something, but… May I?”

“Of course. Go on.”

“Well…”

Luna looked at me with upturned eyes. 

“I wish to have more lovey dovey times with you, Ike-sama.”

ISN’T SHE JUST TOO CUTE?! SURE!! I WILL GIVE YOU ALL OF MY LOVE UNTIL YOU’RE SATISFIED!!

“Yo-Your wish is my desire, Luna.”

I said and pulled Luna into a hug. Luna was as soft as ever and when I held her close like this, the vanilla-like scent from her body seemed to become even stronger.

“Thank you, Ike-sama.♡”

Luna said as I gave her a kiss on the cheek. We stared into each other’s eyes lovingly and then Luna kissed me on the cheek as well. Her kiss felt so soft and a little bit moist.

Smiling, Luna sighed. 

“Let’s stay like this all night long…”

Luna said as she encircled her arms around me, as if she was seeking me out. 

And so, we spent the night together in each other’s embrace to fulfill Luna’s wish for more lovey dovey times. We enjoyed our time basking in each other’s warmth.

Chapter 52: Strategy Meeting… There Are So Many, Can You Handle It Alone?

“It’s time to put an end to the Demon Lord Worshiper. We need to make an impact now.”

The following day after I spent the night in Luna’s embrace, we were summoned by the Elf King, Veiron. We were actually allowed to sleep in the morning and wake up later, but four hours of sleep was enough for me. 

“They are not only kidnapping our fellow elves, but also trying to destroy Yggdrasil, the symbol of our kingdom. They’re so cruel… It’s about time we give them their punishment! Don’t you think so, Ike-kun?”

“You’re absolutely right, Your Majesty.”

“Right? I have high expectations of you, Ike-kun.”

“I shall do my best.”

I only said that because I was actually doing all of it for Luna, not for the Elf Kingdom. I didn’t promise anything further than that because I wouldn’t risk my life for their sake. However, the existence of the Demon Lord Worshiper might jeopardize my happy married life with Luna. Since we had a common enemy with the Elf Kingdom, I had no reason to refuse their request. 

“Ike-kun will be taking the lead and the Elf Kingdom will be supporting Ike-kun fully. Lycoris, Eve, I’m counting on you.”

“Understood, Your Majesty.”

“Ye-Yes. Understood…”

Eve was responding a bit awkwardly. She didn’t need to be this anxious though. I already decided to overlook the previous incident because Lycoris had asked me to. In return, I would make sure to work Eve to the bone to make her regret ever being born.

“Well, allow me to share what we know about them so far.”

Lycoris used projection magic to display a map. The map showed the entire area of the Elf Kingdom. There were nearly 50 marks on various locations on the map. 

“Deep within the royal capital, where most elves are, there is a hidden area near the roots of Yggdrasil. This place is similar to what humans would call a slum. This place seems to be the perfect hiding spot for them.”

“A slum, huh…”

A slum was a place where those who were economically or socially poor ended up at. I was shocked to know Lycoris, the third princess, would go to a place like that.

“I have one question. Is it possible to get to all locations marked on the map in just one day?”

I asked and Lycoris frowned bitterly.

“Indeed. Given the number, it will be difficult to cover them all in one day. We don’t know how much outside help they have either..”

“What if some of them managed to escape while we’re investigating one of their possible base?”

“Well, that’s…”

“In that case, may I make a suggestion?”

“Sure, what is it?”

“May I handle this matter on my own?”

“On your own?!”

“Yes. On my own.”

That being said, I didn’t need to search through every location. I had the knowledge of the original game, so I knew which locations I needed to target. I wanted to finish this mission quickly so I could have more lovey dovey time with Luna. I couldn’t waste my precious time searching through all 50 possible locations. 

But then, one of the royal guards came barging in. 

“Emergency!! Prince Faraus has escaped from the dungeon!”
