I asked back curtly.

I’m not sure about the god part, but everyone is responsible for their own happiness. There are people who can find happiness just by being by their loved one’s side.”

His words irked me. He was self-righteous and selfish. He was basically running amok with his skewed sense of justice.

“Don’t try to act all high and mighty with me. Did you forget? You’ve destroyed people’s homes, taking innocent people’s lives just because of your twisted logic. I don’t care if you’re only wallowing in despair on your own, but you’re imposing your skewed values on others. Who do you think you are? The representative of the unhappy people? Do you really think you can get away doing all those crimes just because you are doing this for ‘equality’?”

“It’s… It can’t be helped! Sacrifices are necessary for the better good! Why can’t you understand it?!”

He wasn’t listening to me. Trying to reason with someone like him would only end up in vain. However, there was something I had to make clear with him. 

“Haah… Fine, let me tell you. You’re the reason why I can’t spend the rest of my time being lovey dovey with my wife. Your sin is unforgivable. Therefore, I’ve decided to annihilate all of you.”

The man in front of me looked genuinely dumbfounded.

This guy really didn’t understand anything.

Orthrus took out a dark red orb and swallowed it. 

“Ugh…! ARGHHHHH!!”

After writhing in agony for a moment, he stabbed his own heart with his arm and pulled his heart out. 

“UWOOOOOOHHH!!”

Sinister black wind seemed to appear from within the gaping void. The black wind circled around Orthrust, enveloping him until he was covered in dark black armor.

“Behold! Demonification! Demon Lord! I’ve become one with you!”

Orthrus, the Demon Lord worshiper, grinned wickedly.
