“U-Umm… Ike-sama? I see that everyone has returned, but… What happened to the horde of ogres?”

Kamura, who had returned ahead of us, came greeting us. He looked so surprised to see us returning this early. 

“Hm? Oooh. I defeated them all.”

I said as a matter of factly. The result was crystal clear. That was all that mattered. I didn’t need to explain things in too much detail. 

“A-All of them?! But it’s only been a few minutes since I returned to Sulfur with Lancelot-sama!”

Apparently, I was the only one who thought that way. It turned out a further explanation was still needed. But still… 

“What’s the point of lying? Do you think I can gain something from lying about this? Surely you’re not doubting me, the Saintess and my wife… Are you?”

“N-No! Perish the thought! Indeed, there’s no reason for Ike-sama or the Saintess to lie. It seems I was getting a bit too excited. My apologies.”

“It’s fine. I’m not offended, but… If you ever insult my wife… Be prepared to face the consequences.”

Kamura bowed deeply.

Lancelot’s face turned bright red. Lancelot…. Getting a tsundere reaction from a man like you was beyond my wildest imagination too. 

“Ah, that’s right. Alisa, I took care of those purple magic circles too. I destroyed all of them just in case. I think those were the dark magic circles you guys were talking about, right? Anyway, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so I just destroyed everything.”

“I see… Not only did you annihilate the horde of ogres, but you also destroyed the dark magic circles. Impressive as always and you are absolutely right. Better be safe than be sorry. I will have the knight guard the entrance to Sulfur City as well.”

“Thank you for that. Ah, also… Feel free to use the inn as much as you like for the knight to rest. Well, I’m already planning to have you all stay at the inn from the start.”

“Thank you. We really appreciate your benevolence, Ike-sama.”

“No need to mention it. We should help each other out in times of trouble, remember?”

“Kamura, listen up. I have a very important task for you. Make sure no one gets near my room.”

“U-Understood! What about the meals…?”

I glanced at Luna, who was standing next to me. She tilted her head to the side in confusion. Ah, so cute. Very adorable!

I linked my arm around Luna’s waist.

“Welcome back, Ike-sama. Well then, allow me to guide you to your room.”

“Yeah, thank you.”

Upon returning to the mansion, Melcott came to greet us. For some reason, Melcott was the only one present in the mansion. When I asked her, her only response was… 

“Because I know my Master won’t promise something beyond their means.”

I guess it basically meant she trusted me. 

“Well, if it’s only a bunch of ogres, I should be able to manage it just fine if he ran away….”

She muttered under her breath. Melcott almost never appeared in the original story, so I didn’t really know how strong she really was. But she must be really strong since my father, the head of a ducal family, kept her close. 

That being said… I didn’t see any point in worrying about Melcott’s abilities now. I just wanted to enjoy the warmth of Luna’s right hand now. Indeed. Her hand was still as soft as always. 

“This way, please.”

While basking in the soft sensation of Luna’s right hand, I suddenly found myself arriving in front of a room at the corner of the top floor. This was my… No, our nest. Ah, maybe Luna’s right hand had some sort of time-slip ability. I didn’t realize we had arrived here.

I said and I could feel Luna trembling ever so slightly.

“I see…! So this is our love nest! Finally…! This room looks absolutely wonderful! So from now on…. I can spend more time with Ike-sama without any reservations now…! By the way… This double bed… Ike-sama, does this mean we’re allowed to sleep together from now on…?”

I had always thought it was nice I got to wake up with Luna by my side… But I didn’t realize she had been sneaking into my room at night. Sure, waking up to her lovely face was a joy for me and I hadn’t really bothered to ask her about it before. 

“Ahem. By the way… Luna, we have a nice, private bath here. Would you like to join me?”

“Of course! Let’s go in together! Right now!”

Luna hugged my arm lovingly.

“Ri-Right. Don’t worry. I’ve prepared the clothes for you to wear in the bath. Since this is a private bath, let’s enjoy it to our heart’s content as a married coup—”

“I’m sorry to interrupt your fun.”

I was startled. She suddenly appeared behind me without any sound. I was genuinely surprised. However, Melcott looked genuinely troubled.
