Chapter 31: Unforgivable… I Shall Eradicate All of Them!

“Can I keep living here from now on…?”

Alisa, who had just come out of the hot spring, was taking a seat in a chair in my office. She looked to be extremely at home. As for me, I was sitting on my chair with Luna on my lap. I was handling my official duty while pampering Luna at the same time.

I only needed to sign some documents for now. It was just a simple job of reviewing papers, so I could do this job easily while enjoying my intimate moments with Luna. 

“That is not possible. Besides, why are you here?”

I said to our esteemed guest.

I smiled as I cursed her in my mind.

Our guests might be gods, but gods who didn’t know their limit were quite simply a nuisance. If the times were different, I’d want to burn the said gods at the stake.

“My oh my, how could you be so cold to me… But still, I didn’t know there’s a bath that can make my skin so smooth and glossy… At first, the smell was a bit hard to take in, but gradually… Ah, if only I didn’t get dizzy easily, I would’ve stayed in there forever.”

“In that case, you should stay in the hot spring forever instead of being here.”

Luna murmured absent-mindedly.

I agreed with luna again. I definitely shared the same sentiment as her. But… More importantly, Luna looked so adorable today! From her glasses, to every little detail of hers… She was absolutely perfect. Of course, she looked adorable without glasses, but the elegance when she wore her glasses… Ah, the glasses truly added to her charm. She really looked like the CGs scene from the original Fortune Lover.

“Luna-san, what a terrible thing to say… Boohooo~ Oh, I think the report should be coming in soon. Would you like to hear the report as well, Ike-sama?”

Alisa pretended to cry in a deadpan tone. I was a little irritated at how she was speaking. It was as if she already knew how to handle us. 

“Report? Oh, about the Demon Lord Worshipper.”

Well, listening wouldn’t hurt. The night was still long after all. Once the church was gone for good, I could enjoy the rest of my time with Luna to my heart’s content. For now, I shall made do with her sitting on my lap. 

That being said… We hadn’t made any progress beyond sleeping next to each other in bed.

“Pardon the intrusion. Ah, Saintess-sama. So you’re here.”

After a few light knocks, a familiar face entered my office. 

“Ah, Lancelot. We’ve been expecting you.”

Lancelot, huh? It sure had been a while since I last saw him. I met him during the Black Dragon incident in Comet Village. Although I wasn’t very familiar with the church’s organization structure, but Lancelot should be part of the subjugation team. Maybe he got transferred to a different squad after the Black Dragon incident? Well, it wasn’t like I cared about him or anything.

“So, is there anything new?’

“Yes… We’ve investigated the outskirts of Sulfur town and we found a dark magic circle. Since we don’t know what can trigger the magic circle, we decided to leave it as it was for now.”

“A dark magic circle… That means those Demon Lord Worshippers must be lurking somewhere in here. Maybe they’re targeting this city next…”

“I see. In that case, it would be best to eliminate them as soon as we can.”

The laid-back attitude Alisa had been displaying after the bath changed significantly. Now, she was exuding a sharp and cold aura. I see… She reminded me of King Gilga somehow. I could see why King Gilga and Alias could work well together.

Well, there’s nothing much I can do if she becomes our enemy one day. An enemy is an enemy. I will fight her no matter what. 

I thought to myself when Lancelot….

“That’s right. Ike-dono, congratulations on receiving the title of White Saint. I’ve been working hard so I can become more like you ever since that day. It would be my honor if I could spar with you someday.”

So he said. To be honest, I couldn’t care less if he got stronger than before or not, but… Since he had helped me during the Black Dragon incident and he looked really eager to have a spar with me… I guess I could entertain him a bit.

“…I will think about it.”

“Thank you. I owe you one.”

Lancelot bowed his head to me. This guy was really earnest to a fault, huh? Well, might as well took advantage of his earnest nature…

“By the way… Lancelot, you should come and try our town’s new specialty, the hot spring. The hot spring can help relieve the fatigue from your long journey.”

“Really? Since Ike-dono is the one recommending it… I will be sure to try it out.”

“Yeah, feel free to enjoy the hot spring to your heart’s content.”

Kukuku… This guy had trusted me wholeheartedly. Good, good, spread the word about how great my hot spring was! Kukuku… Word of mouth was the best advertising method after all!

Come to think of it… How come no one had said anything about Luna sitting on my lap. I mean, not that I would care if anyone brought that up. I planned on staying like this regardless of what other people might say. 

Well, anyway….

“Well, let’s talk about minor details tomorrow. Why don’t you take a break from your long journey first? Think of it as my request as the lord of this region.”

I wanted to get these guys out of here as soon as possible so I could have some alone time with Luna! Ah, I probably wouldn’t get much sleep tonight either! Unfortunately, our relationship still showed no sign of progressing! Well, I didn’t really mind it though! I could just look at Luna’s sleeping face all night long. Her sleeping face really soothed my heart and core!

“Feudal Lord-sama! There’s an emergency! A massive ogre horde is heading our way!”

Kamura suddenly burst into my office, looking greatly perplexed. At that moment, I realized my plan to spend some alone time with Luna had disappeared into thin air. 

Unforgivable… Those ogres…I shall eradicate all of them until nothing was left!
