Falling in love with my stalker - Chapter 22- His anxiety...
Asukawa Keita has been friends with me since we entered this high school.
We became friends in the first year and hung out most of the time. And since we remained in the same class even in the second year, we never grew apart.
Keita is a good guy with a laid-back personality. He has always been there if I needed him for something. I have even stayed at his house on several occasions…or more like, initially when I got afraid of living alone at my place I ran to Keita.
He has always been supportive of me and never tried prying on my personal matters. He believed that once I warmed up enough with him, I would tell him everything.
If talking about looks then Keita has a short build with blond natural hair. It seems his father was an American immigrant. If he lifts up his bangs then one could see his delicate features. All in all, he has a good face and an easy-going personality.
Keita has always been open to me about his life, and his family—unlike me. However, I never knew that he, my only true friend at school, likes the same girl whom I began dating some days ago.
“You never told me…” My voice lowered…I couldn’t help it. I knew my expression must have changed as well.
Today is the day, I got to know that knowing that someone likes the same person you like, hurts this much.
It was a strange sensation. I knew Keita wouldn’t do anything like actively pursuing Takeuchi-san, nor would Takeuchi-san ever look at Keita in the same way she looks at me…..
….however, it still felt like a big boulder was weighing over my heart, and a thick lump stuck in my throat.
“I never found the opportunity to tell you,” Keita responded on the same wavelength as me.
“Then why so suddenly?” Hearing my question, he lifted his head and looked at me with an expression, that I was unable to read.
“Because I felt you need to know about it.”
With a sigh, he continued, “It was kind of love at first sight type of thing. I even confessed to her through a letter, however, she didn’t even read it and tore it into pieces.”
No…don’t tell me this…I don’t want to hear…
“I don’t know why I was so drawn toward her but it felt like nothing in the world matters when I look at her…”
No, please…just stop this. Please…no more…
“You know, when she flips her hair and narrows her eyes…I think that’s the reason why I fell in l-*dhak*”
My fist stung and my breathing became ragged as I saw Keita staggering on his feet to regain his footing.
The punch I landed on his face drew some blood down his nose….yet, from his expression, it didn’t seem he was even surprised because of it.
I was expecting him to hit me back or the very least, ask me the reason why I suddenly punched him….but, nothing. He just stood there, while pinching the bridge of his nose and looking down at me with those complicated eyes.
My mind was filled with confusion and anxiety. For the first time, Keita was looking like someone I didn’t know. More like, he seemed like a total stranger.
“See you tomorrow…” With those words, I walked away with hurried strides.
My body was shaking and a familiar sensation was running through my body.
I needed to calm down…and for that, I could only rely on a single person.

Seeing his friend leaving in a panic, Keita retained his narrowed gaze on him.
All the things he told about Rumi and the fact that he fell for her were all fake. And also, what Aoi said about him glancing at Rumi was also nothing but purely a misunderstanding.
However, since Keita heard the conversation between the three during the PE period, he utilized the information and pushed Shou into a corner.
‘That punch was incredible tho…’ Taking out some tissues from his pocket Keita walked toward the side of the street and began to wipe his nose.
“Fuck! How can be someone so restless?!” Cursing loudly, Keita took out his continuously buzzing phone and picked up the call—only after he got rid of his annoyance.
The person on the call couldn’t be disrespected.
[Status?]
Keita sighed hearing that before he responded, “He hit me but didn’t say anything. Honestly, what were you even expecting?”
There was a short pause from the other end before the person spoke in a much colder tone,
[You are paid to keep an eye on him. Dare to say another word in that tone, and I will have you removed from Japan.]
Keita’s body froze upon hearing those words and before he could say anything the phone was disconnected.
Looking at the blank screen, Keita couldn’t help sighing once again, as he leaned his back on the wall and stared into the sky.
‘I wonder how hard he will hit me, once he gets to know about my identity…’

Rumi was never a good cook nor did she ever try to learn cooking in the first place. However as one says ‘Love changes people’, Rumi also changed herself and decided to not only learn cooking but every household chore.
Her intention was to become a perfect housewife for her Shou-kun and provide him with all the happiness he deserved.
Just as now, she was currently moving around the kitchen and preparing some healthy dishes for her lover.
She was so excited to surprise him that she left the school in a hurry.
“Hmm~mmm~” Humming happily she stirred the soup while her focus never left the pan on which she was preparing a specific kind of sauce for her main dish.
Her mind was occupied with the thought of how her Shou-kun would react once he found her waiting for him at home?
“Fufu~I wonder if he suddenly hugs me~”
Just the very thought of being embraced by the person she so much yearns for, made her feel hotter than before.
‘Hmm? But shouldn’t he have returned already?’
The weather outside was already darkening with a slight rumble of approaching rain echoing across the sky.
Taking out her phone she opened a specific app that showed the live GPS location of Shou.
She expected him to be nearing the house or maybe around the manga store where he often goes with his friends..however, upon finding his actual location her eyes widened.
Turning off the gas knob she threw away the apron and dashed toward the door.
Shou was at the graveyard.
