Falling in love with my stalker - Chapter 21- His shock...
Hanekawa Aoi has lived her life in her way ever since she entered middle high. She has always been a tomboy. She never bullied people but she never backed down from a fight when people tried trifling with her.
She has learned several kinds of martial arts from a very young age and loves to fight strong opponents. She still remembers how she beat the crap out of a chain snatcher when she was only seven years old.
Her personality made many people admire her, yet at the same time people also hesitated to approach her because of her rough personality.
Aoi never felt bothered about it nor was she trying to impress anyone which could have forced her to change….only until she reached high school and just during the orientation ceremony did she fall for a certain person who, despite her abusive language, helped Aoi in her tough times.
She madly fell in love with that person who introduced himself as Keita and from there she has been on her quest to become his lover.
However, her first obstacle remained was to change herself into a more refined and dignified female as from what she could see, Keita liked cold and calm people rather than loud and rough.
“That’s why I am wary of you! You are the exact type of person whom Keita-kun likes!” Aoi spat in a frustrated tone as she glared at Rumi.
Aoi had researched the person she admired and found out that Keita likes cold girls who mostly remain silent. Not to talk about the fact that Keita glances at Rumi every now and then during class as well.
Truly exasperating.
“Eh? Keita likes Rumi-san?” Shou seemed surprised to discover something he didn’t know as he looked to and fro between the two girls.
Rumi sighed before she placed both of her hands on his shoulder and told Shou in a clear and conscious tone, “Shou-kun, despite whoever likes me or dislikes me, it doesn’t matter. Please don’t bother about her opinion and focus only on me, okay?” Her dashing eyes made his heart race before Shou nodded slowly.
Rumi warmly smiled at her lover before softly patting his head and turning toward the brunette.
“Keep your opinion to yourself. There is nothing Shou-kun would do for you or your love life, remember that.” Rumi indifferently stated in Shou’s stead as she glared at the brown-haired.
Aoi looked taken aback as she turned her gaze toward Shou and asked, “Why is she answering in your stead? Can’t you even make a decision yourself?”
It was a rude remark that Aoi made but she was frustrated by Rumi’s temperament. And seeing the change of expression Rumi had, it was clear that she was about to react equally harshly to Aoi.
However, before she could say anything, Shou held her hand and spoke up, “Hanekawa-san…it’s not whether I can make up a decision or not. Anything that hurts my girlfriend, I cannot do that. So there is nothing to contemplate about.”
Shou has never been involved with someone to the point where he abandoned his reasoning and acted based on other’s preferences. However, he wanted to value his girlfriend over and higher than anyone in his life. And if Rumi didn’t want him to hang out with someone—regardless of their concern—then so be it.
There was a small pause that was soon broken by Aoi with a chuckle, “You know what, screw it. I will help myself and somehow make Keita fall for me.”
Shou was bewildered by the sudden change of demeanor but he didn’t say anything to stop her as he saw the girl leaving the class.
Shou felt Rumi letting go of his hand and wrapping herself around his arm. She snuggled close to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
“You were really handsome just now, Shou-kun.”
Slight crimson appeared on his cheeks as Shou slowly rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.
Much to their frustration suddenly the classroom door slid open again and students started to enter.
With a groan, Rumi let go of his arm and after giving him a long side glance she went back to her seat.
However, Shou wasn’t able to react immediately as he stood in the middle of the class with a dazed expression.
“Shou?”
“Ah…” Suddenly someone knocked on his forehead, pulling Shou out of his daze before he looked at his friend Keita.
“What were you doing? Why do you seem so feverish?” Hearing his query Shou just grinned before making his way back to his seat.
What Shou missed witnessing was the subtle frown that marred Keita’s face…but it didn’t last longer as he also walked toward his seat.
All the remaining periods went sluggishly since most of the students were so tired that even responding to the teachers seemed to be a tedious task for them. Thankfully there were only two periods before the classes came to an end and every student was allowed to leave.
Once the class ended Shou intended to forward a small chit to ask something to Rumi fleetingly since he still had to register her number on his phone. However, as soon as the bell rang and the teacher left, Rumi also got up and left in a slight rush.
‘…well, maybe some other time…’ Shou crumbled the paper before sliding it in his pocket as he heard Keita asking,
“Hey, dude…let’s go together. I have some manga to buy.” Since the manga store was on the same route, it wasn’t strange for Keita to suggest something like that.
However, what felt strange was the gloomy atmosphere surrounding Keita when he asked to accompany Shou.
Regardless of what he was thinking, Shou and Keita left the school building together.
Seeing his current mood, Shou was feeling unusually uneasy to initiate a conversation.
He has been friends with Keita since he entered high school and has built enough bond with the guy to share his life situation to a decent point.
If anyone then indeed it was Shou who could help Aoi in pursuing Keita.
‘I can’t talk to Hanekawa-san but surely I can ask Keita’s opinion about her…’ Shou was thinking about starting a conversation about Aoi…but suddenly Keita spoke something which made Shou entirely speechless.
“Shou…I like Takeuchi-san.”
