Falling in love with my stalker - Chapter 18- His request
“Mmm…”Lazily parting my eyes, I found a pair of red ruby eyes staring down at my hand while wiping it.
Her beautiful eyes were continuously moving around my wound as Takeuchi-san cautiously treated me.
“Your temperature was high…I thought Shou-kun was sick.” Hearing her words, I recalled how I suddenly fainted upon finding my face pressed against some soft sensation.
*Shake* *Shake*
I inwardly shook my head and erased my thoughts from nearing the sensation I felt from…well, let it be.
“…sorry for worrying you.” I humbly apologized with a soft smile on my face.
Takeuchi-san didn’t seem as upset as before as she used the antiseptic over the small hollow I created using the pain and carefully cleaned the injury. Her movements were slow and very cautious—signifying how she didn’t want to hurt me.
The reliable side of Takeuchi-san always leaves me in awe.
“Shou-kun…I am working here…” Witnessing the spreading redness over her cheek, I realized how I was staring at her.
“S-Sorry…”I retracted my gaze and looked at the front.
Not so long after, it was Takeuchi-san who asked, “Did you reheat the breakfast?”
“Uh…I didn’t need to. And…the fish was cooked extremely well. I ate it to the last bone.”
Takeuchi-san smiled at that.
Another half a minute passed before I spoke up, “Umm…Takeuchi-san, can you wake me up the next time?”
She frowned slightly before looking at me.
“But Shou-kun, your work is mentally taxing…”
“I know it’s somewhat heavy for a high schooler to be awake late at night for work…and in the past, I didn’t feel anything about waking up late.”
Holding her hand with just my fingers, I said, “But things are different now, Takeuchi-san. Now, I have someone with whom I want to spend as much time as I can.”
What do people do in a relationship? If someone would have asked me some days ago, I wouldn’t have given a definite answer.
But after meeting Takeuchi-san, I can say that, being with your partner is hefty enough. There was no need to go out of the way to do anything. Being with Takeuchi-san makes me happy.
Hearing my words, Takeuchi-san’s eyes remained a little stretched before she finally heaved a sigh and extended her hand to cup my left cheek,
“You really are unfair, Shou-kun. It was really difficult for me to not wake you up in the morning and just keep looking at your face….and now, you are even permitting me. Truly, unfair.”
Her helpless smile made me chuckle before I replied, “I never thought Takeuchi-san was having so many difficulties regarding me.”
Takeuchi-san let go of my cheek before she began to wrap the bandage around my hand as she asked, “Does this still hurt?”
Indicating toward my wound she asked without lifting her eyes.
My lips never stopped smiling as I responded, “Not anymore…”

[Third Person’s POV:]
The nurse told them that she informed their class teacher about their absence and had managed their attendance.
Rumi and Shou left the infirmary in the second period and decided to head to the class together. It wouldn’t be too surprising for the two to return together, given their near-identical injuries.
“I hope they don’t start gossiping about it…” Shou sighed.
Rumi didn’t say anything about it, but she seemed to be dissatisfied. The act of ignoring her Shou-kun in school and also to pretend to be strangers wasn’t her thing. Although she agreed to her father and Shou’s wish to keep their relationship a secret for the time being, even Rumi didn’t know how long she could keep up the act.
“Shou-kun, please try to maintain distance with that bit-Hanekawa-san. She doesn’t give a good vibe for some reason.”
“Mm. I will.” Shou, without any hesitation, nodded. He wouldn’t do anything which could make his girlfriend insecure and hurt. Although he doesn’t regret saving Hanekawa Aoi in the morning, he would rather be careful about his actions from here on.
Soon they reached the classroom.
“Ah, you both…go to your seats and don’t strain your injuries too much.” It was the same science teacher who saw both of them in the morning.
Rumi didn’t say anything before making her way back to her seat.
“Thank you for your help earlier, Sensei.” Shou bowed toward the older one before walking toward his seat as well.
The teacher scratched his head in confusion as he tried to remember why Shou just thanked him. But the middle-aged man soon shrugged it off and continued his class.
Shou took his seat near the rear of the class as he found a folded paper waiting for him on his desk.
Shou frowned before he looked around a bit, and found Aoi looking in his direction.
…now that was a bit too much.
Shou unfolded the paper and read the text,
[Thank you for the help earlier. Can you meet me during lunch at the rooftop? There is something I wan-]
Shou didn’t read any further and scraped the paper and kept it inside his pocket—intending to throw it away during recess.
He ignored Aoi’s confused gaze before focusing on the class.
He was helpful to her since he found the girl in trouble, but any further communication was not reasonable in his eyes. Although Aoi wouldn’t have any mean intentions toward him, Shou didn’t want to meet any other girl alone when he already had his Takeuchi-san.
The class continued like always and Shou soon got invested in the classes.
…well, he would admit that his eyes drifted toward the back of his girlfriend and sometimes, in between the periods, they had eye contact. However, more than silent flirting, he wasn’t even able to share a single word with her.
“Shou, can you help me with this problem? English grammar is a bother when they start asking the rules and forms.” His friend, Katagiri Keita asked as he draped his head on Shou’s desk.
It was already lunch break but since the next period was their English class test, many students were eating their lunch in class and revising the syllabus.
It wasn’t just Keita but two girls and one more guy were also around Shou’s desk since he was incredibly well in English.
“We have been studying active and passive voice for ages now, Kei. How can you be-” Shou was about to reprimand his friend for being so lazy when suddenly someone appeared before them; gaining everyone’s attention.
Shou frowned at her arrival as he heard Aoi asking,
“Shou-kun, can you spare me some minutes? I want to ask you something.”
