As I scrolled through online reactions on my smartphone, a thought crossed my mind.

“Aren’t you interested in actually conquering dungeons?”

They all answered in unison while smiling brightly. We were at a high-end yakiniku restaurant. Since we had received our reward for clearing the dungeon, the four of us had come here to celebrate.

“Idol-type D-Tubers are all about making dungeons fun and engaging for viewers.”

“No one expects us to seriously conquer them.”

So that’s how it is.

As they chatted away, I busied myself grilling the meat and sipping my beer. After we wrapped up the celebration, we all went our separate ways. I got into a taxi, as did each of them. I could feel eyes on us from all directions. Some were directed at me. Others were clearly aimed at them.

Reporters, maybe?

With smartphones, anyone could be filming, so it was hard to tell. Either way, I wanted to avoid any weird rumors about them because of me. My home address was probably already known, but I had the driver drop me off at a nearby station and walked the rest of the way.

『The yakiniku was delicious!』

I got a message from Mio-chan.

『I’m glad to see you three really do get along.』

What does it mean to be friends? I don’t even know the answer to that question.

I still hadn’t recovered all of my memories. Elementary school, middle school, high school, college, working life… Were the people I met back then my friends? Just classmates? If we saw each other often, did that make us friends? Or maybe… It didn’t need to be that complicated in the first place. Maybe the real answer was simple…
