Dungeon And Slave: The Lustful and Violent Slave Harem of the Guard and Students Chosen as Testers for the Succubus Dungeon - Chapter 72: Intervention
Chapter 72: Intervention
Tester Life – Day 28 – Night – 5th Floor Domain Guardian Room – Sanada Yagumo
“Copper Treasure Chest, huh.”
I slump my shoulders at the Copper Treasure Chest between the black gate and the chair.
Last time, it was a Silver Treasure Chest and a Pearl Small Box. I knew the Pearl box was a first-clear reward, but the chest downgraded too.
Was the Silver because I was the first to beat the Domain Guardian?
Either way, looping isn’t rewarding.
Guardian chests are fixed at Copper, so the 1st Floor has many students queuing to loop. It takes three hours for the Guardian to respawn, and excluding midnight, only about four groups can fight daily with combat time. Most would think looping’s pointless.
But for gear or Grade 4 Potions, it’s viable. I wouldn’t bother unless power leveling like now, though.
By the way, nobody loops the 2nd Floor Guardian. Sword Rabbits are risky, and 3rd Floor fighters have decent gear.
Kobolds’ magic stones are worth three times Horn Rabbits’. Sacrificing a party’s daily wages for a Copper Treasure Chest is iffy, especially since you might not get what you want.
Thinking this, I open the chest.
Inside is a slender black sword and a Grade 4 Potion.
“This… a rapier?”
I pick up and swing the sword.
It’s clearly for thrusting, not slashing.
Common in fantasy, but… for Sayaka?
Hmm, she probably can’t handle such a specialized weapon. I’ve never used one, so I can’t teach her.
It’s for piercing armor gaps. The blade’s thin, so a novice could break it, even if it’s sturdy Black Iron.
The Gray Wolf breastplate and gauntlets can be Sayaka’s spares, but this weapon’s useless. Maybe my first dud from a Copper Treasure Chest.
“Well, it happens.”
I store the rapier and potion in my Magic Pouch and stand.
With Sayaka and Rock, who finished collecting magic stones, we pass through the black gate back to the 1st Floor.

At the 1st Floor Transfer Room, students’ tongue-clicks and jealous stares hit us.
Ignoring them gracefully, I head to the Great Plaza.
Near the entrance, Oida’s shouts echo.
“You dare say you can’t pay?! Get back to the dungeon and kill more!”
“I-It’s impossible!”
“Sensei, my friend injured his leg, so we only earned our share today. Please, let it slide.”
“So what?! Anyone hurt by Horn Rabbits is a burden! Go back with the others!”
“We don’t have the stamina!”
“Teacher Oida, forcing them isn’t good. Calm down.”
“Sayama-kun, shut up! That attitude’s why students disrespect you!”
Oida’s shaking down a student who refused to pay, grabbing their collar.
The student likely hunts on the 2nd Floor. Against Horn Rabbits, earning food and Wall Butt fees is tough.
The baseball coach tries to stop the raging Oida, but Oida ignores him. His bloodshot eyes show he’s desperate, probably below the belt.
Kume (English), Miyata (math), and the track and soccer coaches look haggard too.
Students around the fountain glare at the teachers.
They’re cornered and earning resentment. Perfect.
“That’s harsh…”
Sayaka frowns at the teachers’ actions.
“Even teachers act like that when pushed.”
“But forcing collections like that…”
“Yeah, it’s too much.”
They should collect from 3rd Floor parties, but Oida’s too scared to strong-arm peers of his rank. Typical.
It’s a hassle, but with Sayaka watching, I can’t ignore it.
Sighing lightly, I approach Oida from behind and kick his armored side.
“Prove you’re broke by showing your bag—guboh!”
My roundhouse kick sends Oida and the student he’s grabbing flying.
Oops, I didn’t expect him to fly. I forgot the rank gap, never kicking a human before.
Oh well, it’s Oida.
“Gah, cough, urp, guh… Guard… you bastard… what’s that for?!”
Holding his side, Oida glares and yells. I look down and reply.
“Teachers shaking down students? Pathetic.”
“What?! We’re not shaking them down! We’re doing this for students who can’t fight—”
“Who are you helping? Shut-ins or those fighting hard?”
“B-Both! Obviously!”
“Then why tell an injured student to go back?”
“What’s wrong with the able helping the unable?! Japan supports those with disabilities through the work of many! You wouldn’t get it, uneducated as you are!”
“Yeah, I don’t. Why sacrifice myself for others? If you’re that noble, fight alone without sleep. You’d earn way more stones than you’re extorting.”
“W-We’ve been fighting since dawn for the students!”
“What’re you saying? They’re fighting for the girls too.”
With Slave Exchange Tickets, dungeon progress naturally leads to that.
“Don’t compare Horn Rabbit fighters to us fighting Kobolds!”
“Looks the same to me. Ever thought about how students see you? Look at their eyes.”
“Students’ eyes? What—!?”
Oida, puzzled, looks at the watching students and freezes.
Every student glares with hostility.
“Teacher Oida, we’ll be isolated like this. Let’s retreat.”
“…Tch! What!? Tsukigase!?”
The baseball coach—Sayama, was it?—speaks, and Oida, silent, stands, glaring at me… then notices Sayaka behind me.
Sayaka clings to my arm, looking at Oida with pity.
Unable to speak under her gaze, Oida glares at me again, supported by Sayama, and leaves with Kume and the others.
The track and soccer coaches ogle Sayaka’s body as they go. My glare makes them look away and hurry after Oida.
They’re pent-up.
“Sorry for dragging you into it.”
I apologize, helping the student I sent flying with Oida.
“Ouch, no, thanks for the help.”
“Hurt your waist? Use these. My apology.”
I hand two Grade 5 Potions to the student holding their waist.
“Really? This much?”
“Your friend’s hurt too, right? Heal them.”
“Th-Thank you, Guard-san!”
“I said it’s an apology.”
I wave off the bowing student and their friends, leaving with Sayaka.
“Hehe.”
“What’s up?”
I ask Sayaka, clinging to my arm, giggling happily.
“Just thought Master’s really cool.”
“What’s that mean?”
Puzzled, I tilt my head, but Sayaka smiles, saying, “It’s enough that I know.”
