Dungeon And Slave: The Lustful and Violent Slave Harem of the Guard and Students Chosen as Testers for the Succubus Dungeon - Chapter 15: Magic Practice
Chapter 15: Magic Practice
Tester Life Day 4, Test Dungeon First Floor, My Room, Yagumo Sanada
Beep, beep, beep
The alarm’s electronic sound woke me.
This morning, too, I felt brimming with energy and in top shape.
Last night, I got drained for seven rounds total. My horniness subsided after five, so with F+ mana, I probably need five to feel satisfied.
Well, even after that, the tanned succubus pinned my hips with her tail, not letting me stop until she vanished at time’s end.
Hoping my mana rose while sleeping, I got out of bed and checked with Mana Measurement.
Sanada Yagumo
Age: 25
Race: Human
Mana: F+
“No increase, huh.”
Killing 140 Horn Rabbits took me from G to F, skipping G+. Then 200 got me to F+. Yesterday, I killed 300 plus a Floor Guardian, but I’m still not E-rank.
Horn Rabbit-level experience doesn’t cut it for ranking up anymore.
I wanted more mana for magic practice today, but oh well.
Knowing my current mana, I showered, shaved, and brushed my teeth. It’s great that the shop sells daily necessities. Even this jail-like room is way better than being thrown into a dungeon with nothing.
I read a manga where a guy got sucked into a dungeon spawn and tossed to the bottom floor with nothing. Compared to that very hard mode, this is easy mode. Though, no cheat powers here—this is reality.
Refreshed, I bought two breakfast sets from the shop. Today’s Japanese-style, with three onigiri and a bottled tea.
My face lit up at rice after days. Rice fills you up, and the fillings—salmon and okaka—are perfect.
After eating and letting my stomach settle, it was past 8 AM. I stood, put on my enhanced guard uniform, and realized I forgot to buy a mirror for equipping my leather armor. I purchased one for 500 DP and two bento sets—tonkatsu today.
A full-length mirror appeared beside the bed. I moved it near the door, equipped my leather armor while checking the mirror, and attached my dagger to my belt.
Definitely easier with a mirror.
I equipped my leather shin guard and gauntlets, strapped the iron small shield to my left arm, and checked if I could smoothly draw the two throwing knives fixed to its back. Finally, I grabbed my machete and left My Room.
Outside, the plaza was busy—students washing faces or chatting by the fountain, armed groups strategizing. About half the total, maybe. Over 100 are still holed up in their rooms.
It’s only day four. Initial DP lasts if you skip Wall Butt. But weapons, even at discount, start at 300 DP. Those eating three meals a day face a choice by day seven or eight.
Unless they’re idiots, they’re probably rationing. Still, two weeks is the limit. No decision then, and they’ll fight barehanded.
Either way, using up all 300 DP without saving any is game over.
I glanced at groups strategizing away from the fountain. Some had gauntlets or wooden shields, likely from chests.
I spotted Oida, the PE teacher in a tracksuit, and my eyes widened at his weapon.
“A greatsword?”
Hitting fast Horn Rabbits with a greatsword takes serious evasion and strength. Why’d he pick that?
Sure, Oida’s got gentle eyes and zero intimidation, but he’s huge and was supposedly an Olympic judo prospect, so he’s got the strength.
Other teachers and coaches had spears and bows.
Oh, a tank role. Can’t afford shield armor, so Oida takes Horn Rabbit charges with his greatsword, while others attack with spears and bows.
Oida’s tracksuit was tattered, torn in spots. Probably grazed by horns when he missed with the greatsword.
“Putting his body on the line.”
Oida’s group was talking to a few shirt-clad students, who looked annoyed. Probably shut-ins forced out to refill water at the fountain and got nabbed.
Talking to those with DP to spare is pointless, I thought, stepping into the dungeon.
Inside, I saw students fighting near the entrance. More figures ahead meant a good number were already battling on the first floor.
From those I passed, most students are in 6–10-person parties with swords, spears, and bows. No solo players like me.
I planned to practice magic on single Horn Rabbits, but with this crowd, finding one will be tough.
“No choice, I’ll practice on the second floor.”
Passing the fighting students, I entered the side tunnel with the transfer array.
At the dead end, I opened the stone auto-door, stepped onto the transfer array in the small plaza, and the floor glowed, shifting my view instantly to the second floor’s magic circle, 5 meters from the gate.
“For now, I’ll practice around the gate.”
Since only two Horn Rabbits spawn within 30 minutes of the gate, I’ll practice magic there.
“First, let’s check its speed and power… ‘Wind Cutter.’”
I aimed at a nearby rock and cast the spell.
The air in front of my palm warped into a V-shape, then the rock’s edge chipped, scattering fragments.
“Whoa… magic.”
I knew it’d work from the book’s knowledge, but seeing a manga-anime-only phenomenon in real life was mildly thrilling.
I wanted to fire another, but I held back to analyze.
“Activation and attack speed were fast.”
Not bullet-fast, but plenty quick, with solid power. It could probably sever a bear’s arm.
“Now, mana consumption… I’m not sure. One more shot?”
I could tell it used less mana than Physical Enhancement, but not how much.
To find out, I walked deeper, aiming to hit a Horn Rabbit.
Two minutes in, I sensed a Horn Rabbit from the side.
I turned toward it, and as it leaped from a small tunnel, I cast the spell.
“Wind Cutter.”
The wind blade shot straight, slicing off the rabbit’s erect ear.
But it kept charging, blood spraying, eyes full of killing intent.
I’d already stepped out of its path as I cast Wind Cutter.
No way I expected a combat-first hit.
As it charged, I slashed its neck with my machete from the side.
At the same time, I bashed a second rabbit from behind with my shield and crushed its neck with my safety boot.
“About half of Physical Enhancement.”
After dealing with the rabbits, I checked my mana. It felt like one Physical Enhancement’s worth was gone.
With F+ mana, I can cast Physical Enhancement five times in a row. If Wind Cutter uses half that, I can fire it 10 times consecutively.
I tried casting at a wall with less mana, but couldn’t.
My body automatically tried to cast a standard Wind Cutter. I couldn’t reduce it, but increasing mana felt easy.
So, I can add more mana but not less.
Guess I’ll stick to standard Wind Cutter.
I encounter monsters every three minutes, with fights lasting 2–3 minutes. That’s 10 fights an hour, meaning I’d run out of mana in an hour.
Assuming mana fully recovers in 24 hours, one Physical Enhancement’s worth recovers in 4.8 hours, and Wind Cutter’s in 2.4 hours.
Kinda meh. Probably because my mana pool’s small.
“I’ll use it only when four rabbits appear.”
Three, I can handle without magic, though it takes time. Magic’s for overwhelming numbers—that’s why I got it. But since today’s for practice, I’ll use it on three.
I practiced twice more on Horn Rabbits and headed deeper.
The second floor’s layout is like the first, so I hit side tunnels, clearing them one by one.
I met leaping Horn Rabbits like a shooting gallery, slashing their necks with my machete. Same as the first floor—pure routine.
When two leaped at once, I dodged their path, fired Wind Cutter when they overlapped, slicing both in half. I dodged a delayed third from behind and took its neck with my machete.
“Nice, went perfectly.”
Satisfied with the timing from chant to activation and Wind Cutter’s speed, I hit my target spot-on.
I kept using it on three-rabbit groups until my mana ran dry, then took a break.
No manga-anime-style nausea or fainting from mana depletion—I tested that last night.
Earthlings don’t naturally have mana, so losing what we didn’t have doesn’t affect us.
After the break, I fought without magic. An hour later, I found a chest.
Inside was a vial of light blue liquid.
I recognized the color from the shop—definitely a mana recovery potion, likely Grade 5 from a wooden chest. Talk about timing.
Grade 5 doubles mana recovery speed, so 2.4 hours per Wind Cutter use becomes 1.2 hours, assuming my math’s right.
I’ll drink it preemptively on floors needing frequent magic. Not needed now, so I’ll save it.
No four-rabbit encounters, but I occasionally cast magic to gauge recovery speed while clearing side tunnels.
At 5 PM, I ended exploration, headed back, and returned to the first floor around 6:30 PM.
No students on the second floor, so they haven’t found the Guardian’s room yet.
Exiting the transfer room, I ran into a group of karate club students heading back.
They looked startled, then puzzled, as they passed me.
They’re probably wondering why I, always fighting deep, came from a “dead-end” tunnel. You’ll figure it out eventually—good luck.
Back in My Room, I showered and cashed in 203 magic stones.
Yesterday’s 10-hour grind vs. today’s 7 hours, plus magic practice and three-rabbit fights slowing me down, makes sense.
I cashed in large and small copper coins for 6,710 DP total, bringing my balance to about 73,000 DP.
The chest haul, besides potions and coins, was duds—wooden round shield, knife, club, thick clothes, bulky stuff. The only difference from first-floor chests is mana recovery potions.
I’m bored of Horn Rabbits. Will the third floor have new monsters? I want higher-value stones.
DP’s stacking up. The challenge is resisting compromise when I hit 200,000 DP for a Grade 5 Slave. Gotta keep enjoying Wall Butt to stay focused.
Speaking of Wall Butt, can’t they appear in missionary position? I could suck their breasts and hit the G-spot better with my high-ridged cock than in doggy. I might even one-up the tanned succubus in missionary…
“That’d be rough.”
Butt-out is funny—like a clumsy girl stuck in a wall. Face-up, collarbone-down only looks like a headless corpse. I’ve seen bodies like that on the battlefield. No way I’d get hard.
Thinking silly thoughts, I bought two dinner sets, chowing down on hamburger curry and salad.
Then, I summoned Wall Butt Succubus for my daily fun.
