Chapter 4 – First Employee Registration
The next day, I found myself yet again in front of the headquarters of the “Comprehensive Hero Dispatch Service Co. Ltd.” It was just past seven o’clock in the morning. I was so happy after receiving the job offer that I instantly went straight to Ryoka-san afterward to inform her that I had secured the position. We ended up going out for drinks to celebrate too, and we ended up drinking until nearly the very last train. I didn’t get back home until after two o’clock in the morning.
However, as I wandered in front of the company’s building, killing some time before our scheduled meeting time, I couldn’t help but curse my nervous disposition.
“You’re early, aren’t you? Good morning, Hiiragi-kun.”
Just as she was yesterday, the beautiful receptionist, Eskaia-san, wearing her geeky glasses, approached me on her bicycle.
“I’m sorry. I was nervous and couldn’t sleep well, so I came here early.”
“That’s perfect timing. I wanted to take some of your measurements before the training since we also need to order your uniform… the president hasn’t arrived yet, so could we just start with the measurements now?”
Following Eskaia-san into the office after parking her bike, I took out a measuring tape from my desk.
“Alright, let’s get started.”
As we went through various measurements like checking my chest, waist, arm length, neck size, and such so meticulously, her body was pressed against mine, and her pleasant scent tickled my nostrils with every measurement that went on.
“Oh my! Am I bothering you?”
Noticing her cough, I turned around to see the stern-faced president, Mr. Claude, standing there.
“Apologies. I was getting carried away. Please don’t kill me. I’ll work diligently, I promise. Ahh!”
I couldn’t stop my knee muscles from trembling in fear as he looked like he was completely angry.
“You’re quite something. Very diligent indeed. You’re the kind of person I’ve been waiting for a long while, Hiiragi-kun. Now that the measurements are done, let’s start the pre-employment training a bit early. Come this way. Eskaia, join us.”
President Claude put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into a small room at the back of the office. It was surprisingly warm, with faint light emitting from a magic circle drawn on the floor.
“What’s this?”
“It’s alright. It’s alright. You’ll get a detailed explanation once you go to your assigned workplace.”
“We’re sorry for the wait. I thought I’d bring the measurement data along since we were early.”
Eskaia-san, who arrived late, removed her geeky glasses, revealing glossy golden hair tied into a ponytail, emerald-colored mysterious eyes with double eyelids and long eyelashes, and pointed ears. She had transformed into an elf-like woman. I’ve seen this figure somewhere before… That’s right! She looks just like an elf from a fantasy novel! She’s exactly like an elf!
“Eskaia-san?”
“Yes, that’s right. I wear glasses when I’m over here. The government asked me to do so because showing off my pointed ears would cause some issues. This is my true form. I took off my glasses on the way here.”
Huh!? What way? Seriously, please stop with those scary remarks. I don’t want to go to the one-way ticket world…
“Alright, let’s go.”
As President Claude muttered to himself, a translucent display appeared in front of me, showing information like an ID card.
“Huh!? What’s this?”
“Hmm… this is…”
The faces of those two became stern as they looked at the displayed text. I felt very uneasy as there were so many things I wanted to ask. However, I missed the timing to do anything due to how serious they looked.
“Undoubtedly, a legendary-class ‘Dispatched Hero’… I’ve been involved in this project for twenty years, but I’ve never seen a Japanese with such high hero potential as ‘SSS,’ let alone having three skills that have no precedent whatsoever.”
Although I couldn’t read his expression behind his sunglasses, President Claude’s tone was filled with surprise.
Uh oh, what’s going on? Could it be that… they’ll send me back because I’m not competent enough for the pre-employment training?! Being Level 1 means I’m practically useless. True, I think I’m at Level 1 as a working adult, but I’ve managed to lead and handle things as a leader in part-time jobs.
“…President Claude… Hiiragi-kun needs proper education… I’ve met a promising employee for the first time in a long while.”
Eskaia, who now looks very elf-like, seemed to be determined to help me out. If she does end up teaching me, it might be an enjoyable experience.
“Umm, can I still take the pre-employment training?”
“Oh, that’s fine. On the contrary, I want you to take the training seriously. If you do, Hiiragi-kun, you’ll quickly become an ‘S’ rank employee. Having a talent like you joining our company… I’ve been in this industry for a long time, but to think such a day would ever arrive…”
He’s crying. Hey, come on. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s just that you’ve acquired a student who almost failed at job hunting for a very long time. It’s not like an ace player just joined your company or anynthing.
“For now, could I get President Claude’s approval? We can’t start various training without confirming your employee status.”
“Oh, right. Alright, by the order of Claude, the president of ‘Comprehensive Hero Dispatch Service Co., Ltd.,’ I acknowledge Hiiragi Shoma as our dispatched hero.”
As President Claude placed his hand on the transparent display, a bright light emitted, and eventually, when the light subsided, a card similar to an employee ID appeared. Of course, it had the company name and my photo on it.
“Here you go. Hiiragi-kun, you’re now an employee of our company. It’s still the training period, but I’m counting on you.”
Eskaia-san, who took the card, smiled and handed me the employee ID. Her smile was indeed charming, almost like that of an idol.
“Thank you very much. I, Shoma Hiiragi, will do my best at ‘Comprehensive Hero Dispatch Service Co., Ltd.'”
“We’re expecting great things from you, Hiiragi-kun.”
President Claude also patted my shoulder with a satisfied look on his face.
The president seems to like me, and I’m also being trained by such a beautiful senior… I guess I did end up having some luck after all. My 150 failed job hunts weren’t in vain.
“Now, Hiiragi-kun, let’s go to the training room since your employee registration is done. I’ll teach you everything right until the end of our shift. Fufu.”
“P-Please guide me.”
Following Eskaia-san, who laughed mysteriously, I walked toward the training room from the temple-like place.

Here comes the birth of a cheat hero. But the person himself is worried about being useless, though, lol.
By the way, the hero aptitude ranges from ‘SSS’ to ‘F’ ranks, and each rank determines the growth value and maximum level limit, making it the most important aptitude in Elucrast. At adulthood, everyone receives a card as an identification card, which is then incorporated into their bodies.
