- Chap 12 - The Jealousy of Rosalina: A Strategic Discussion
As Caroline had promised, she went back to discuss the strategy, but this time she went alone.
Rosalina looked at Caroline with jealous eyes as soon as she entered my sect.
Caroline knew about her jealousy, but she didn’t let it bother her and started talking about the plan.
At that moment, Rosalina looked at Caroline with the eyes of someone who saw something obvious. Yes, of course. My master wouldn’t have given legendary weapons to people like you if he didn’t think they would be attacked. He gave them to you to protect you because he knew you would be attacked.
Then Rosalina looked at me again, as if she wanted some kind of praise.
No, I didn’t give it to her because I thought she would be attacked, even though it seems obvious that she would be. I just wanted to give her a gift for finishing the training.
Because I took so long to compliment her, she started to look at me anxiously, almost with teary eyes.
I can’t take it… I can’t take it when someone next to me starts crying.
pat pat
I patted her head and said, “Yes, yes, good job; you did well as usual.”
This isn’t the first time I’ve lied to keep her from being sad, and it won’t be the last. (A/N: Women’s tears are their best weapon against men, and it hurts to see someone close to you crying.)
As I stroked Rosalina’s head, she blushed and said, “Thank you, Master.”
“Oh, I see, so this is why…” Caroline said the same thing Rosalina said, as if she had come to the same conclusion.
“Thank you, Master Sorah.” Caroline made a respectful bow.
“No need; I’ll always help you.”
Caroline turned red when I answered.
Why does she do this all the time?
“Master Sorah, thank you very much for giving us such powerful weapons.”
I just nodded because I didn’t know what to say.
Why are you so grateful? I just gave you some brushes that were in the pantry. You don’t need to thank me that much.
“Master, I also want to thank you for everything you’ve done for me, including letting me live with you,” Rosalina said, putting a lot of stress on the part about living with me.
Rosalina teased Caroline, but she didn’t say anything back.
“Anyway, let’s get back to the main point,” I interrupted before they began arguing.
Seriously, why does Rosalina see everything as a reason to compete?
Even though they trained together a lot, this shouldn’t be a reason for them to fight. In fact, they should get along better because of this.
During training, they were always together. I even thought they might be able to get along, but that turned out to be a mistake. They keep fighting over everything, mostly Rosalina, but not just her.
“Master Sorah… I believe that we must attack on two flanks: you and I will attack the biggest sect that represents the greatest danger, in this case, my former sect,” Rosalina said with imperceptible anger.
I wouldn’t have noticed either if I wasn’t used to seeing people try to hide their anger in front of other people.
Well, I learned more because my life depended on it. If I didn’t know when my master was mad at me for no reason, I could die. (A/N: For those who forgot, his master is a Yandere who hates him because he stole the time she could have spent with Adam, her boyfriend, and his friend.)
“Then we could go on a date after murdering them.”
“I… wanted to go with Master Sorah too,” Caroline said in a shy way.
“You have your sect to care for and lead.”
“That’s not fair,” Caroline muttered.
“No one tells you to have so many people join your sect,” Rosalina said in a mocking tone.
“Well, since you brought it up, I don’t know why Master Sorah hasn’t taken on more disciples yet. “If he could train me, it wouldn’t be hard for him to train some more,” Caroline questioned.
“Well, Rosalina is in charge of choosing, and she said she didn’t see anyone worthy,” I replied right away.
“But I wasn’t either…” Caroline said she was embarrassed.
“Let’s get back to the main point,” Rosalina said. “We’ll attack together, since more people means more power.” She quickly changed the subject because she was embarrassed.
(A/N: Rosalina’s plans almost got out, and if anyone hasn’t figured it out yet, she doesn’t want anyone else in the sect to be alone with the MC.)
“Now I agree,” Caroline said with joy.
To my good fortune, they came to a quick decision about what to do after agreeing on something.
I hope the extra month I gave Caroline’s sect to prepare was worthwhile because it would be very inconvenient if I had to wait another month for the action to finally happen.
I waited calmly for interesting things to happen. I hope it doesn’t turn out like the dull ceremony.
