- Chap 11 - The Power of the Brush: Caroline's Triumph Over Robert and His Army.
A terrible force tore off the main gate of the Carolina sect.
“What are you looking for?” Airi was surprised.
“Just destroying your sect.”
The boy quickly pulled out his sword, but a painting of a lion that Caroline had made come to life stopped him from attacking.
“We are no longer the weak sect that everyone picked on.” Caroline changed the shape of the painting into a dragon.
Caroline knew the man well. His name was Robert, and he was in charge of doing dirty work for higher groups.
He was always mean to her sect just to make fun of it.
“This is very interesting, but I came with more people to attack your sect,” At Robert’s words, a few of his followers entered the sect.
Most of them used swords of medium or lower quality because they thought that Caroline’s sect was weak. After all, Her sect was known as the weakest on the continent, so they thought it was unnecessary to bring their best weapons. (ED/N: Now that’s some achievement)
“You’ll be sorry you attacked this sect,” Airi said as she picked up her paintbrush with pride.
One of Robert’s goons began to make fun of them, “Seriously, you guys are using brushes at this time.” (A/N: He’s not totally wrong, it would be strange to use a paintbrush in a fight.)
All of Robert’s minions attacked the girls, but they were able to defend themselves by making simple figures that looked like full plate armor.
Robert was more and more impressed by what they painted as time went on. “I’ve never seen anything this good before. Making figures out of paintings is impressive.”
As Robert observed the battle, he thought of something: I need to catch her alive so the sect leaders can study her and the brush.
Even though they were losing, Robert couldn’t help but be impressed by how well the magic was used.
“This isn’t over,” one of Robert’s men said as he tried to cut Airi, but she quickly drew a monster that destroyed his sword.
All of Robert’s goons lost all hope, so they tried to run away, but Caroline killed them.
“I didn’t know you guys were so strong.” Robert said. He wasn’t worried about how many of his goons died. Instead, he was worried about unknown magic.
“Like I said, we’re no longer the sect where anyone can come and pick on people,” Caroline said, years of anger.
“I’m going to give you an advice: if you come with me, I won’t kill you,” Robert tried to offer.
After seeing what they did, he knew it would be hard to deal with them.
“Don’t make me laugh,” Caroline said, releasing the power of her brush.
With just that move, Caroline was able to turn the area around her into a painting. (A/N: Caroline has trained the longest and has had the most direct training, which is why she is the strongest.)
Everything Robert saw looked like an oil painting, and Caroline hadn’t even used her magic yet. The scenery was so beautiful that it was almost hard to believe.
“Wow, that’s incredible, and it makes me want to bag you even more.”
Robert took out his sword and got ready for a one-on-one.
Caroline didn’t respond, she just started drawing.
Her drawings changed reality itself.
Then, from Robert’s sword, strange creatures that looked like gremlins started to come out.
“Nice, smart move to take my sword away from me.” Robert was trying to get rid of the creatures.
“No, this is to show you that I can beat you at any moment, but I won’t. The best way to beat someone is to show them who’s in charge.” (A/N: That’s the MC’s childish mindset influencing her.)
Caroline started drawing again, but this time, all the girls in her sect fell behind her, as if they were getting ready for something big.
“My master taught me that humiliating an opponent is the most effective strategy for victory, and I wholeheartedly agreed.” Caroline finished her drawing, and then a huge dragon appeared. The dragon was made by painting.
Robert didn’t have time to react before he was obliterated.
Airi asked, “Master, if you killed him with a single attack, why didn’t you do it with the gremlins?”
“That was just for show. Master Sorah says that you should always give your best performance before beating your enemy.”
A/N:- Those who train with the protagonist will be heavily influenced by his mentality, eventually becoming almost as crazy as he is.
