I, the Villainous Prince, Buy the Ruined Villainess with Money - Chapter 22-23
Chapter 22: A Peaceful World
Five days passed after that, and everything stayed completely peaceful.
There was no reaction from the church, and my older brother did not show his face either.
In a way, that worked out well, so I kept focusing on training hard.
Neither side wanted to make things bigger, so there should still be some time.
But… beside that, Yulia was growing rapidly.
“Your hips are pulling back!”
“Yes!”
“That is it! Good pace!”
“…What is that?”
Just last week, she was a girl who had never even held a weapon.
Now she was already sparring with Yorba and showing decent moves.
She launched fierce attacks with a knife in hand.
“Heh heh, surprised, young master?”
“Did you do something?”
“It seems she asked me in secret to train her, thinking you might stop her.”
“Wait, I did not hear… I see.”
She probably thought if I knew, I would say a maid did not need to do that.
I simply wanted my favorite girl to live peacefully.
But against my wishes, it was good that she found something she wanted to do.
I would not do something rude like stopping her.
“Even so, she has quite the talent.”
“Oh, if Sebas says so, it must be true.”
“Thank you. And it seems she has magical talent too. Even now, she is unconsciously using body strengthening several times.”
As expected from the boss of part one.
Maybe in her route, some hidden power gets released or something.
…Hm? I feel like I am about to remember something… but it does not come clearly.
I should have listened properly to my sister’s story.
I hated the idea of my favorite girl dying, so I covered my ears.
“I see… That explains why her movements are good. Then, should we test for attribute magic too?”
“Young master Alvis will not oppose it?”
“Do I look like that small of a man?”
“My apologies.”
The test would probably be needed to jog my memories too.
Above all, she was motivated.
Then, Yulia, finished with training, came running over out of breath.
“Master!”
“W-What is it? (Oh no! Her full smile is adorable!)”
“Did you watch?”
“Yes, your movements were quite good.”
“…Ehehe, you praised me.”
That was an expression I had never seen before.
It was melting, shy, and yet somehow seductive.
Electricity ran through my brain, and words would not come out properly.
“…Beau… (Aaaaaah!? Her embarrassed face is Aaaaaah!)”
“Beau?”
“I thought a maid who can fight is pretty cool.”
Do not tilt your head like thaaaaat!?
I was finally pretending to be calm!
“Really? …Okay, I have to keep working hard.”
“I do not really get it, but become worthy of being my maid.”
“Yes, of course!”
“Heh heh, I look forward to it.”
Then Yorba came to the garden.
In her hand was the thing I had been waiting for.
“Yorba! Right now!”
“Yes yes, I get it. Yulia, this way.”
“Eh? W-We are putting it on now?”
“Yes, you need to practice so you can wear it alone.”
“That is true… Then, I will go.”
After confirming Yulia left, I let Sebas lead me back to my room.
I changed into the prepared clothes and waited for Yulia in the hall.
After waiting about ten minutes… an unparalleled beauty appeared.
Her red hair suited the red kimono, and with her already great figure, she looked cool too.
“Ohh…”
“H-How is it?”
The gesture of hiding her face with the hem of the kimono pierced my heart.
She usually leaned more beautiful, so even more so now.
This was nothing compared to the assassins’ attacks the other day.
“…Not bad (You idiot Aaaaaah!? There is only one choice—praise her!)”
“Hehe, I am happy to receive your kind words.”
“Hmph, interpret it as you like.”
“Yes, I will.”
This guy Alvis is hopeless.
Even with my past life’s will, this was my limit.
…No, my feelings were more than this.
Or rather, doing nothing would be a waste.
“Ahh… Shall we go to the garden?”
“Eh?”
“I do not like pointless things. If you changed, we should do something worthwhile.”
“That is true, I need walking practice too—kya.”
I gently caught Yulia as she almost fell.
Her softly scented hair wafted, and the nape of her neck came into view.
I held back from going mad and somehow kept calm.
“Good grief, what a handful.”
“S-Sorry…”
This is bad. I want to punch myself.
What is with this guy.
Wooooah! I will show you my favorite girl devotion soul!
“Here, I will hold your hand.”
“T-That is…”
“If you fall when you look this pretty, it would be pointless.”
“…Eh?”
“…Let us go.”
“…Y-Yes.”
I somehow managed to say pretty! Good job, Alvis!
I gripped the thrill of holding her hand and the accomplishment tightly as I looked up at the sky.
A beautiful blue sky spread out there.

Chapter 23: Alvis as Usual
The holiday ended, and regular classes started again today.
On the way to school, I remembered something I had forgotten to ask.
“By the way, have you ever taken a magic aptitude test?”
“No, I haven’t. My father and His Highness the Crown Prince said that even if I could use magic, it would be pointless…”
“What a boring thing to say. Then let’s have you take it soon.”
“…Is it really okay with you, Master? For a woman to become strong, I mean.”
“Hmph, of course it is. Yulia, show me you can be useful to me.”
She nodded, looking happy.
What this girl needed was self-confidence and recognition from others.
If so, helping with that was what supporting my favorite was all about.
“Oh, speaking of which, what about club activities?”
“Club activities… We have to decide within the next three days, right? What about you, Yulia?”
“Me? I think I’ll go with whatever you choose, Master.”
Since then, we had visited all the clubs.
From the literature club to sports clubs, almost every major one from my previous life was there.
Yulia seemed to enjoy all of them, but for me, it just felt nostalgic.
That’s why, if possible, I wanted her to choose for herself… And I was somewhat satisfied with the cosplay for now.
“Did you forget what I said?”
“…Don’t leave it to others, right?”
“Exactly. Think carefully about the club you really want to join. Otherwise, it will just cause trouble for the club members.”
“…You’re right. I was being shortsighted.”
“It’s good that you’re reflecting. Then decide your own path. (I want to let her do what she likes!)”
…I said that like I was being all high and mighty, but I planned to join whatever club Yulia chose.
No, this was my own decision—my mission to watch my favorite up close.
And I had to protect Yulia from any guys who tried to get near her.
Making excuses like that, we arrived at school.
Then homeroom started… and I was surprised by a topic I was hearing for the first time.
“So that’s why, this weekend is the off-campus learning trip! Everyone! Make sure to prepare properly, okay!”
“…What is this about?”
“You didn’t know? In the second year, there’s an off-campus learning trip. We go outside the capital to a forest with monsters and magical beasts.”
“Oh, I see.”
Right, now that I thought about it, this world was like a fantasy game.
Part 1 was the romance part, and Part 2 was probably the political part with the struggle for the throne.
If that was the case, there must have been combat scenes too.
“Um, Master, aren’t you scared?”
“Hm? Scared of what?”
“There are monsters and magical beasts in the forest…”
Yulia’s body trembled slightly.
Looking closely, some of the other students had pale faces too.
The students here would all take some kind of position someday.
Combat training was unavoidable for that, but it must be tough for those who had lived peacefully in the capital.
“Hah, there’s nothing to fear. (It’s scary, but for my favorite’s sake!)”
“As expected… Mmm, I have to try hard too.”
“What are you saying? Protecting those below you is also a royal’s duty. You stay back and watch.”
“That’s… true, I would just get in the way.”
She said that and looked down.
I messed up again!
Making her depressed made me a failure as a fan!
But I didn’t want my favorite in danger… No, no, that’s not right.
My mission was to fully support whatever my favorite wanted to do.
“Hmph, pathetic. There’s still time until the off-campus trip.”
“That’s…”
“I’ll train with you, so I’ll drill the basics of fighting into you by then.”
“…Yes! Please do.”
She was already learning from Yorba, so all she needed was more practice.
I also had to arrange the magic test soon.
What else? What could I do for my favorite?
“…Do we have any plans today?”
“Um… No, I don’t think so. We’ve finished visiting the clubs.”
“Then let’s prepare for the off-campus trip. They said we can have equipment prepared for us.”
“Understood. I’ll accompany you.”
Good, I’ll get the best possible equipment for my favorite.
No, would she hate that?
But for safety… Uwaaaah! My head started to hurt!

Chapter 22 shouldn’t exist. It ruined my whole immersion by introducing kimonos and that japanese sh!t that is out of place in a medieval European-like fantasy world. I’m sorry but it’s cheap and out of place to say the least. I get it, Japanese are such a closed minded market where there has to be something that screams “this is like my culture” to sell, but still that’s very lazy writting.
Also kinda related, this is absurd how they were all sweaty after training and ten minutes later they are into kimonos, all sweaty I repeat. Disfuckingusting.
And again, this corrective language is going to prevent some progress in their relationship till the very last chapters, right? Japanese authors can’t write romance even if their lives depended on it. It’s always some incel kiddy sh!t or some over the top hollow harem sh!t.
And now I am caught up, gonna put this on hold for a few months now. It’s a fun story, I like both the main characters and I wish Yulia gets her confidence back.
