Betraying My Perfect and Beautiful Childhood Fiancée, I Fell in Love With My Devilish and Naughty Older Sister - Chapter 6 - The Red Witch
Chapter 6 – The Red Witch
It’s earlier than expected.
I can’t believe that Chiharu-senpai in her school uniform is already in front of my room.
I was surprised, but it was Shiho who was even more surprised.
Shiho stood up and adjusted her skirt.
Shiho then glared at Chiharu-senpai.
“Who is this person, Nii-san?”
Before I could answer, Chiharu-senpai interrupted.
“What would you do if I told you that I’m Hayato-kun’s mistress?”
Shiho’s face instantly blushed, and then she glanced at me.
“Nii-san… You’re not cheating, are you?”
Shiho’s eyes were shaking with anxiety. Cheating here refers to my betrayal of my fiancee, Aika.
Shiho has always been good friends with Aika.
Besides, Shiho seems to have no doubt that Aika and I will get together. Shiho also often teases us, saying we’re the ideal couple.
From an objective point of view, Aika might be an ideal fiancee. But from my subjective point of view, Aika is too good for me.
I shrugged.
“Unfortunately, I’m not worthy enough to have a mistress.”
Shiho looked relieved, murmuring, “I see… If you’re looking for a mistress, there are other girls closer to you,” and then covered her mouth with a shocked expression.
Chiharu-senpai gazed at Shiho with her blue eyes, looking interested.
“And who are you? You’re in a girl’s school uniform, and you’re on the bed in Hayato-kun’s room.”
“I-I’m Shiho. I’m Hayato-Nii-san’s little sister! It’s not weird for a sister to be in the same room with her brother, is it?”
“Well, that’s true. But it’s the same for me.”
“Huh?”
“I’m going to be a big sister to you and Hayato-kun.”
Chiharu-senpai said with a beautiful smile.
Shiho froze completely. In my room, two girls—and both very pretty girls—are confronting each other.
When I looked, Chiharu-senpai was carrying a compact suitcase.
“Ah, that’s right. This will be my room.”
“”Eh!?””
Both Shiho and I screamed simultaneously.
I thought she’d be asking me to leave, but that wasn’t the case.
“I’m glad the bed is a double size. When two people sleep together, you don’t want it to be too small.”
“Chiharu-senpai, are you going to live in my room!?”
“I told my selfish desire to Master…to Father Hashiro that I wanted to share a room with my little brother.”
“W-Why did you do that…?”
“We foster children are meant to become a stronghold of support for the next heir, aren’t we?”
Foster children here means adopted children like Shiho and Chiharu-senpai, who were taken in to support the family.
However, they do not have the right to inherit the family title, and their rights are greatly restricted, unlike biological children and normal adopted children. Since the Great Luminary Catastrophe, it has become common in noble families with titles, and it also serves to help children from fallen households like Shiho’s.
The main role of these women (mostly women, but occasionally men) is to serve as pawns in political marriages, the ultimate aim of which is to support the Hashiro family.
In other words, their raison d’etre is to be useful to my father and eventually to me.
“Well, that’s true, but…what does that have to do with you living in my room?”
“Of course it’s to get to know you better, little brother. We’ve only just met today, and we need to get along well.”
“No, but that’s…”
“Oh, are you nervous because you’ll be sleeping in the same bed as a beautiful girl like me?It’s okay. Mistakes will never happen, so don’t worry.”
Chiharu-senpai said teasingly.
How can we be sure it will never happen?
I’m a healthy high school boy, and Chiharu-senpai is a beautiful girl that every man would be attracted to.
She’s also got great style…
I shook off my evil thoughts.
“But then again, I didn’t think Dad would allow it.”
My father, the head of the Hashiro family, Hashiro Tomohito, is a capable and strict man.
I don’t think he would allow an underage man and woman to sleep and wake up in the same room.
For a moment, a dark shadow appeared on Chiharu-senpai’s face. I couldn’t understand the meaning of that expression.
In any case, Chiharu-senpai’s bright smile soon returned.
“It’s okay. Father can’t disagree with me.”
“Huh?”
“I am not just an ordinary foster child.”
Chiharu-senpai said that as if singing.
“Then who is senpai?”
“I’m your sister.”
“Please don’t dodge the question.”
I was really baffled. This senpai is really mysterious in every sense.
Truthfully, I have no idea what she’s thinking.
Chiharu-senpai’s blue eyes sparkled, and she fiddled with her red hair with her right finger, muttering, “Hmm…”
“The Witch of Hashiro. That’s probably the closest description.”
