Chapter 16: No Way I’m Making That Face
I don’t make that face.
I thought sleeping with my big sister would make me hotter than sleeping on the sofa, so I brought the fan to my room.
Sleeping with the fan on might make me catch a cold, but since my big sister would probably snuggle up to me, it would be just the right warmth.
After spending some time in my room, my big sister knocked on the door and came in.
“Did you bring the fan?” she asked as soon as she entered the room.
“Yeah, because when we sleep, you snuggle up to me, and it gets hot,” I replied.
“You brought the fan just so you could sleep close to me?” she teased.
“No way! You always snuggle up even when I tell you not to, so I brought it!” I protested.
“Just so you know, I wouldn’t snuggle up if Miha was seriously against it,” she said, telling an obvious lie.
“Then why did you snuggle up earlier?” I asked.
“Because Miha looked happy,” she answered.
“No way that’s true!” I shouted.
It didn’t make sense! Earlier, it was really hot, and I didn’t like it.
“So, Miha didn’t like it?” she asked.
“Of course! It was hot,” I replied.
“Alright. Then should we sleep separately tonight?” she suggested.
“Huh?” I let out a dumb sound.
She said no when I mentioned sleeping alone earlier.
“Is that okay?” I asked.
“If Miha really wants to sleep alone, I guess it’s fine,” she said casually.
Why? Doesn’t she like me? I wondered.
“Hehe, let’s sleep together, Miha,” she said with a smile.
“W-What? I didn’t say anything!” I protested.
“You looked sad,” she said.
“I’m not making that face! I wanted to sleep alone!” I insisted.
I don’t make that face.
I’ll have to sleep alone eventually anyway.
“But since you seem to want to sleep with me, I’ll sleep with you,” I said quickly.
My big sister started to say something, but I cut her off.
“Okay. Thanks, Miha,” she said, patting my head.
I thought it was weird to thank me by patting my head, but I let it slide for now.

Chapter 17: Because I Might Catch a Cold
After my big sister patted my head for a while, I told her I was sleepy. I set the fan on a timer, and we got into bed together.
In the blankets, my big sister hugged me, and it was a bit hot. But the fan made it much better than when she snuggled with me in the living room earlier.
Since we were in the blankets, it didn’t feel that different, but it probably was.
“Miha, are you hot?” she asked.
“It’s hot, but the fan is on, so I won’t catch a cold. This is fine,” I replied.
I could handle being a little hot.
“Hehe, Miha wants to snuggle with me so much she’ll even endure the heat,” she teased.
“No way! I’m just saying this because the fan is on, and I don’t want to catch a cold!” I protested.
If the fan wasn’t on, it would be too hot, and I wouldn’t like it.
“Then just turn off the fan,” she suggested.
“But we’re already in bed, so it’s too late!” I replied.
“Hehe, you’re right. Miha, I love you too,” she said.
“W-What are you saying all of a sudden!?” I exclaimed.
My big sister said that while hugging me a bit tighter, but not enough to hurt, and patted my head again.
It didn’t make sense! What did she mean by “too”? I didn’t say anything! I don’t love her or anything. I mean, I like her, but that’s different.
“D-Don’t say weird things out of nowhere! I’m going to sleep now!” I said.
“Goodnight, Miha,” she replied.
While she patted my head, I fell asleep without noticing.
I woke up hot in my big sister’s arms.
The fan was off.
Sleeping so close to her, I was all sweaty.
It was a school day, so I needed to take a bath.
“Miha, good morning,” she said.
“Mm, big sister, good morning,” I replied.
I noticed she was just as sweaty as me.
“Big sister, we need to take a bath,” I said.
I thought my sweat on her must feel gross. My head wasn’t working well right after waking up, but I managed to say that and tried to pull away.
But my big sister hugged me tighter, not letting me go.
“I don’t think Miha’s sweat is gross. I’ll take you there,” she said.
She gently lifted me out of bed and carried me like a princess.
“W-Wait, I can get up myself!” I said.
I snapped awake, my mind racing, and managed to say that.
“It’s okay. Miha, just let me take care of you,” she said.
Then she carried me to the bathroom, still holding me like a princess.
“W-Wait! I can take my clothes off myself! S-So don’t try to undress me!” I shouted.
My sleepiness was gone, my face was bright red, and I said that desperately.
Maybe my desperation got through, because my big sister stopped trying to undress me.

Chapter 18: I Was Waiting, But…
“Sure, it’s properly dry,” she said.
“Thanks, big sister,” I replied.
After my big sister dried my hair, I thanked her and went to the living room. She hadn’t dried her own hair yet, so I went alone.
Since we took a bath right after waking up, there was no breakfast yet. It was still early before school, so my big sister would probably start making breakfast and lunch after drying her hair. I wondered if she always woke up this early to cook for us.
I thought about helping to ease her burden, but since I didn’t know anything, I felt I’d just get in the way. So, I went back to my room to check my bag for forgotten items.
I wanted her to teach me how to cook soon.
“Miha, it’s ready,” she called.
After checking my bag, I returned to the living room. I asked my big sister if I could help with anything, but she told me to relax on the sofa. While I was hanging out, she called me to say breakfast was ready.
“Let’s eat,” I said.
I sat at the table and started eating the breakfast she made.
“It’s delicious, big sister,” I said.
“I’m glad,” she replied happily.
She started eating her breakfast too.
I finished eating first, as usual, and thought about going to school alone for a moment but decided not to. It wasn’t because I wanted to go with my big sister, but I didn’t want to go ahead and get punished or have something weird happen.
“Hehe, you waited for me to finish eating because you wanted to go to school with me so badly?” she said.
She finished her breakfast and spoke to me while I was watching TV and checking the time.
“No way! I was just watching this news!” I said quickly.
I was waiting for her, but I didn’t want to go to school with her. I wasn’t really watching the news, but I was facing the TV, so she probably wouldn’t notice.
“Okay, fine,” she said.
She took the dishes to the kitchen, grabbed her school stuff, and came back. I got my bag, and we went to the front door together.
“Let’s go, big sister,” I said.
We left the house, she locked the door, and we headed to school.
