#01: Childhood Friend and Little Sister
My name is Norio Mizumoto.
Second-year student at a public high school.
You know those harem protagonist types you see in trendy light novels these days? Yeah, that’s me.
My childhood friend Megucchi is always all over me, and my little sister Kurumi absolutely adores her big brother. There’s also the class beauty, a gorgeous senpai, and basically everyone else—they’re all head over heels for me.
I’m a sinful man, Norio.
“Hey, Norio! Stop muttering to yourself and hurry up! We’re gonna be late!”
There she goes—Megucchi, always so impatient just because she gets to walk to school with me.
“Megucchi, we should just leave this old geezer behind!”
Oh, Kurumi. Can’t stand the thought of her big brother being stolen by her childhood friend, so she’s kicking my butt like some tsundere girl.
The three of us—me, Megucchi, and my little sister Kurumi—all go to the same high school.
Megucchi Tsuchida, my childhood friend, lives next door. We’ve known each other for over ten years now.
Looks-wise, she’s what you’d call a gal. Fashion obsessed, always done up with makeup. She doesn’t hold back—showing off her ample chest and thighs without shame, always being that loud, extroverted type at school.
Megucchi’s been precocious since elementary school. Even though we’re the same age, she’s always played the older sister role, sticking her nose into my business. And since she has zero concept of personal boundaries, she comes and goes from my room as she pleases.
My little sister, Kurumi Mizumoto, is one year younger than me.
She’s got a bit of a rebellious streak, but deep down she’s totally devoted to her big brother. Black twin-tails and bold eyebrows are her trademark—she’s basically the textbook little sister character.
Her main flaw is that she’s quick to throw punches and kicks, but honestly, that’s just her way of demanding attention from me. Classic tsundere behavior, really. Though I’ve never actually seen her dere side.
Megucchi chose the same high school because she couldn’t stand being apart from me, and Kurumi did the same a year later because she couldn’t stand being apart from her big brother. Nobody explicitly said that, but I know it’s true.
Yeah, I’m a sinful man, Norio.
It’s only a ten-minute walk from home to school—closer than the nearest train station.
That was honestly the main reason I picked this school.
Like any rural public high school, we’ve got ten classes per year level, with a real mix of academic abilities.
So, you understand what it means that a harem protagonist like me is enrolled at a place like this, right?
Yeah, I’m a sinful man, Norio.
This is the story of a steamy romantic battle between all the heroines who swarm around me at this public high school—a sweet, bittersweet love story.
#02: Senpai and Main Heroine
While being kicked in the butt by my tsundere little sister, I chase after Megucchi, who’s already speed-walking ahead. We make it to the school gate, and as expected, Sakura-senpai from the discipline committee starts hassling me.
“Hey! Mizumoto! Why aren’t you wearing your mask?!”
Ha—looks like Sakura-senpai’s in high spirits this morning because she got to see me.
“So I’m ready to kiss a girl anytime, obviously. What did you expect?”
“You bastard, are you messing with me?!”
“Sakura-senpai, why are you getting so worked up this early? Don’t tell me… you want to kiss me that badly? This early in the morning, seriously?”
“Why would you say that?!”
“Well, anyway, we’re gonna be late, so I’m heading in. See you later.”
Megucchi and Kurumi had already headed to the building without me, so I throw on my mask and hurry after them.
Sakura Kida-senpai is a third-year and works on the discipline committee.
She’s a beautiful girl with a clean look that suits her semi-short hair. The dependable type with a strong sense of justice. You could say she’s got that older sister vibe.
Apparently I’m quite the subject of interest for this senpai of mine, because she’s always coming at me with something. Every single day, never gets old. I’m pretty sure she’s obsessed with me or something.
Yeah, I’m a sinful man, Norio.
Class 2-2.
That’s my homeroom.
When I walk in, about seventy percent of my classmates are already here.
I take my seat while silently acknowledging the intense stares from my classmates—especially the girls—with the dignity befitting a protagonist. By the way, everyone’s apparently too intimidated by my protagonist aura to actually talk to me in the morning.
Yeah, I’m a sinful man, Norio.
Once I’m seated, I’ve got my morning routine.
A morning greeting to the classmate next to me.
“Morning, Fujiko. Your radiant smile is dazzling as always.”
“Good morning, Mizumoto-kun. You’re always like that right from the start, aren’t you?” Giggle, giggle.
Ha—looks like Fujiko’s getting flustered from my greeting.
Fujiko is basically the class Madonna.
She’s got that straight, silky black hair look—a genuinely beautiful girl in the traditional sense. On top of that, she’s an excellent student, but she doesn’t let it go to her head. She’s kind to everyone. She’s basically the textbook main heroine of a romantic comedy.
In other words: me, the protagonist, and Fujiko, the main heroine.
You can probably guess where this is going, right?
Yeah, I’m a sinful man, Norio.
“Hey, Norio! Don’t hang all over Fujiko in the morning—it’s gross!”
By the way, my childhood friend Megucchi is also in class 2-2.
Ha—so she’s not happy about me getting friendly with Fujiko. Can’t blame her, really. These childhood friends, I tell you.
“Megucchi, don’t get jealous just because Fujiko and I make such a perfect couple.”
“Ugh, you’re doing it again! Seriously, Norio, you’re the worst!”
“Ufufu, Mizumoto-kun, you’re always so entertaining.” Laughs.
“No, no, no, you can’t encourage him like that! That’s not helping!”
Man, oh man. The girls are already fighting over me. I really am one sinful guy.
“Fujiko, Norio said something weird again! You can tell him he’s creepy if you want!”
“It’s okay. He can be a handful, but he’s harmless. Mizumoto-kun isn’t so bad.”
Hmm? So Fujiko prefers the more wild, active type, huh?
That means she wants me to take her out on a date, right?
Yeah, the main heroine really is different. She’s definitely trying to capture the protagonist’s heart.
“So Fujiko, forget about Megucchi for a sec—wanna talk about plans for a date after school?”
“Ufufu, I have club activities, so I can’t do that. Mizumoto-kun, you’re really something else.”
“Why’s Fujiko gonna go on a date with Norio?! We promised to go shopping together yesterday!”
“Man, Megucchi sure is demanding, huh?”
“Wait, why are you looking at Megucchi like you feel sorry for her?!”
“Ufufu, you two really are funny, aren’t you?”
“Fujiko, can you stop looking at Megucchi and the others with that compassionate stare?! This isn’t heartwarming! Megucchi’s totally normal! The only one with a screw loose is Norio!”
Man, oh man. Could you guys stop fighting over me? Seriously.
