Another World’s Highest Guild Leader ~I’m the weakest in the guild, but I can’t quit the guild because of the heavy love of all the guild members~ - Chap 71: The Devouring Fenrir
“Fel! Feellll!”
Fel and Hagetee are locked in intense combat, their blows meeting fiercely. Hagetee cackles amidst the struggle.
“Give it up already, Fel! You know you can’t defeat me! Orphen Resort is still under siege, your allies are overwhelmed, nothing has changed! You adventurers are ultimately powerless!”
To this, Fel responds with a smile.
“Maintaining the status quo means we’re winning, and you haven’t realized it yet.”
“What? What are you planning—”
“It’s about time, I suppose.”
Suddenly, Fel releases the chains binding Hagetee and stores them in another dimension.
“Ha, giving up and becoming a slave—Cough!?”
Hagetee is caught off guard as Fel delivers a sharp kick to his thigh, followed by another on the opposite leg. He bounces and rolls on the ground, clearly in pain.
While he struggles to stand, Fel prepares her chains again, concentrating her magical energy.
“Now, for some fun.”
“——Gleipnir Lir.”
A vibration fills the air, along with a sense of oppression. Even Hagetee feels something amiss.
“What is this…?”
Above them, a colossal entity, made of chains, takes shape.
“Meet Fenrir, or Lir, as I call it. It has its own will, you know?”
The massive Fenrir stares down at Hagetee.
“Lir will be taking care of you now. Why don’t you call its name?”
“Take care of me? You can’t defeat me, I regenerate—”
“You’ll be regenerating for a long time then. Isn’t that nice?”
“What?”
Hagetee’s face drains of color as realization dawns.
“Indeed. Bandit.”
Fel clenches her fist, and the chains wrap around Hagetee, immobilizing him. It’s a technique she showed in Succubus Country.
Hagetee can’t escape.
Fel coldly declares, “You said the real hell would be watching you suffer more… so, let’s continue. Lir, you can eat now.”
“Stop! ——Gah!”
Hagetee is devoured by the chain-made Fenrir. Only his lower half remains, falling quietly to the ground.
Excruciating pain, unlike anything he’s ever experienced.
His upper half is consumed, leaving him unable to scream. He struggles to breathe through the agony…
Soon, his body regenerates.
“Hah… hehe, regenerated…”
“Lir.”
Again devoured.
Regenerate.
Devoured.
Regenerate.
The cycle continues. Hagetee is bound, unable to resist, as Fenrir tears him apart again and again.
After about fifteen cycles, Hagetee reaches his limit…
“Recovered, I see. Then, let’s continue—”
“Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal, Don’t heal!”
Cowering on the ground with tears in his eyes, Hagetee clutches his head in terror.
“Didn’t you say you were invincible as long as you could regenerate?”
Hagetee, unable to form coherent words, is paralyzed with fear. His boasted strength has been crushed, and with it, his spirit.
“Rea—”
“Please, no more! I beg you, please… mercy!”
“You think you have the right to ask for mercy? You, who laughed in the face of pleas, abused your power, and forced yourself on women. And now, as a nearly completed demon, you’re destined for eternal confinement underground. Let’s bring this to a close.”
Fel then infuses even more magical power into the chain-made Fenrir.
“The finale? You can’t possibly defeat me with—”
“Actually, I think if there’s no part left to regenerate from, you won’t be able to regenerate at all.”
Fel smiles broadly.
“Lir, it’s time to finish your meal.”
“Stop! ——Gaah!”
Hagetee is swallowed whole, from toes to head.
Crunching and squishing sounds fill the air.
What remains of Hagetee is unrecognizable, almost like minced meat. The pool of blood expands, and there’s no sign of regeneration.
“I really drain my magic using Lir. I’ll need to improve the preparation and usage time before the guild competition.”
As Fel turns to look at Hagetee, their eyes briefly meet. Then, reaching his limit, he disintegrates into particles.
“I can’t believe I let such a man ruin my life. But meeting Crow-sama was the greatest fortune of my life.”
Footsteps approach from behind. Fel turns to see a demon…
“Is your revenge over now, Fel?”
“…Lulu-sama!”
It’s Lulu.
“Everything’s settled on my end, so I came to check on you… As expected of you, Fel.”
“Thank you for your praise.”
“I’m surprised how quickly you finished your revenge.”
“The one I truly wish to take revenge on is someone else.”
Fel’s true target of revenge is still Bakatte.
“You’ve become much more amiable. Back then, you were all smiles, but inside, you were full of hostility, especially towards Crow.”
“It’s embarrassing. He’s such a wonderful person, and I was so rude to him… I must apologize and express how much I admire him now. Hahaha…”
“Still the same, aren’t you?”
Lulu watches over Fel with a wry smile.
“Lulu-sama, about what happened earlier…”
“Yes?”
“The pain of the past never truly fades. It’s best to use revenge to alleviate the lingering resentment. But you can overwrite the past with happiness in the present.”
Fel’s smile is genuine, heartfelt.
“Let’s end this battle quickly and return to our happy, normal lives.”
As Fel walks ahead, Lulu looks at her back, smiles, then looks down…
“There won’t be a ‘normal’ anymore.”
“Lulu-sama?”
“Nothing. Let’s move on to the next location.”

(At Alma & Lafia’s location)
“It never ends…”
“Right? And there’s no satisfaction in it. If they were stronger, they’d at least make good practice.”
Alma and Lafia are clearing demons in the Exclamation Attraction Area.
“This might ruin our summer vacation with some stupid demon hunting event.”
“Lafia’s getting a bit edgy. We must be reaching our limit.”
Lafia, usually more composed, looks irritable.
“We need to take action.”
Looking up, the sky is dark with more demons. Lafia activates her earring, “Denwa.”
“Horus.”
“That’s Lafia, right?”
“Yes. I assume the evacuation of guests is complete. We need to stop the influx of these weak yet numerous demons.”
Silence, then Horus responds.
“I’ll get a vantage point and direct you to where they’re coming from.”
“Why the hell you being so nice to her and not to me? Huh?”
“Quiet, Garga—”
“Don’t start arguing now.”
“…Yes.”
Lafia’s serious tone is unusual.
“I’ve checked. A large number of demons are flowing in from the north of the resort’s entrance.”
“Then we’ll head there.”
Lafia ends the call.
“What are we doing, Lafia?”
“We’re going to destroy the source of these demons and end this battle.”
