- Chap 70: The Maid Is a Killer Weapons
With Garga, Horus, and other adventurers gone, only Fel and the horned monster — recognized by Fel as Hagetee — remain.
They eye each other, sizing up their opponent.
Garga and Horus might not have known who the monster was, but Fel did — it was Hagetee.
“Fel, Feeeel! Hahahaha!”
He laughs in a grating, mechanical tone. Fel’s face shows no trace of her usual relaxed smile, only seriousness.
“Don’t call my name ever again. It’s disgusting.”
“I’m in a good mood today, Hahah!”
Hagetee laughs cheerfully. Fel, still with a stern face, sighs.
“Let’s finish this quickly.”
Immediately, Fel lunges forward, her fist connecting solidly.
“——Gah!”
Feeling the impact of her punch, Fel quickly retreats.
Hagetee, clutching his stomach, spews out in pain.
“Is that all?”
“Fel… Fel! Let’s have a bit of fun, shall we?”
“I don’t want to talk to you. Just die, please.”
Fel looks at him as if he were trash. Hagetee struggles to stand, smirking.
“You haven’t changed, still uncharming as ever, Fel. That’s why you ended up like this.”
Fel’s past as a maid in the royal household, framed and mistreated, flashes through her mind.
Hagetee sees an opening and strikes, but Fel deflects the blow. Despite her stoic appearance, she’s slightly affected.
(This might take some time… Not as long as Crow-sama’s battle, though. Oh, Crow-sama… I look forward to our date after this…♪)
Fel repositions and attacks.
“————Gleipnir.”
Four chains appear, restraining Hagetee’s limbs. She tightens a chain around his right arm, crushing it. Hagetee screams in pain. She moves to the right leg, doing the same. More screams.
As she’s about to crush the third limb, she notices something.
“…The blood has stopped.”
The crushed right arm and leg aren’t bleeding. Though the attack had an effect, Hagetee shows no sign of disappearing.
“…Half-Dullahan, I suppose?”
Hagetee, who had been screaming, now grins wickedly.
“Yes, Fel. Lucky me, surviving your kind’s attack… Now in this form, not bad.”
Hagetee has fully healed. He spreads his arms, delighting in his newfound regenerative power.
“This power… fantastic. I don’t have to fear anymore. Anyone I dislike, I can kill. Nobody can beat me now.”
Fel snorts at this.
“Why are you laughing?”
“Because it’s funny. You know, being an adventurer is quite enjoyable. And, just to correct you, the pitiful one here is you.”
“Huh?”
Hagetee frowns, annoyed by Fel’s mocking tone.
“You should be proud of surviving a demon attack. Impressive, really. But sadly, you’re just a demon wannabe. This power display is limited to here because I’m going to kill you♪”
Fel smiles broadly, her taunt successfully riling up Hagetee.
“Fel! I’ve always hated your smug attitude! After I’ve had my fun with you, you’ll be my slave!”
Hagetee’s demonic aura intensifies, his skin growing more purplish, horns and claws elongating.
Fel wraps her chains around her arms, readying herself. She murmurs to herself.
“Crow-sama, I’m so happy to have met you.”
