Another World’s Highest Guild Leader ~I’m the weakest in the guild, but I can’t quit the guild because of the heavy love of all the guild members~ - Chap 52: Hey, hey, he's dead.
We went around the food stalls during lunchtime, seeking something to eat. As expected from a high-end resort, the variety was impressive — fried chicken, seafood, skewers, snacks, sweets… everything looked delicious.
“I wonder where Lulu and Lofia have gone.”
I hadn’t seen them at all. Maybe they went to some other spot.
Since everything at the stalls was free, we ate as much as we could.
“Hey, you guys, come hang out with us!”
“Eh, what do you guys want?”
I heard a familiar voice, Lofia’s, coming from behind some nearby shadows.
When I approached, I found four guys surrounding Lulu and Lofia, seemingly determined not to let them escape.
They had dyed brown and blonde hair, tanned skin, and flashy swimsuits, looking like they were here to have fun.
“Just for a little while, come on.”
“If you want company, you should ask the staff.”
“No, I fell in love with you girls at first sight.”
These guys need to find out who they’re dealing with. I’ll watch and eat some shaved ice.
“Ah, Crow-chan!”
Just when I thought of that, I was spotted.
Suddenly, Lulu and Lofia clung to my arms. I could feel the softness and moisture of their skin, amplified tenfold by the fact they were wearing swimsuits.
…I’ve been dragged into something troublesome. I wish they wouldn’t involve someone as unattractive as me in such a cliché situation.
The pick-up guys froze in surprise when I suddenly appeared. I should say something.
“Um… what are you doing?”
“That’s our line! What are YOU doing here!? They were hanging out with us!!”
“We were hanging out, were we… Sorry about that. But these two are with me.”
“Ha! Showing up from nowhere and claiming they’re with you, your girlfriend! That’s not going to fly with us!”
I hadn’t said anything about them being my girlfriends. And I certainly don’t think I could be their boyfriend.
“But, isn’t it weird that THIS guy is with them? Wearing a mask with a swimsuit, that’s just odd.”
“Maybe he’s paying these women to be with him?”
“Yeah, no way these beauties would be with such a freak.”
They laughed mockingly.
In a way, they’re not entirely wrong. I’m not paying them, but the other two points seem accurate.
I’m just a side character here for exposition.
Glancing at the expressions of the two women by my side…
“…”
“Heh…”
Lulu was expressionless, and Lofia was smiling, but there was no light in their eyes.
As the tension rose, I was sweating profusely, thinking about leaving. Though, it’s obvious that these guys are about to get beaten up.
“Oof!”
Lulu delivered a powerful kick to the groin of one of the pick-up guys. The force was so strong he passed out instantly, leaving his friends gaping.
I instinctively looked at the impact area. An attack on the groin always makes one cringe.
“Dammit! — Weight Increase Enchant!”
He tried to cast a spell, but before he could do anything, Lofia punched him, and he fell over, rolling his eyes back.
The second guy was down. One left.
“You two are going too far. You need to stop resorting to violence so quickly.”
“But they insulted Crow-chan! Big sis can’t forgive that!”
“I’m used to such comments.”
“You shouldn’t be! Anyone who speaks ill of Crow-chan, big sis, will crush them!”
Lofia was fuming while Lulu remained silent. More and more people were starting to gather around.
The last of the pick-up guys, intimidated, finally spoke up.
“Who the hell are you guys?”
“We are from the Devil’s Triumphant Return.”
As I said, the man’s face turned ashen… and he knelt.
“I’m sorry! I won’t bother you again! Please forgive me!”
He was smarter than I thought. If only he had used that intelligence to avoid hitting on women. Just how notorious is my guild? Are we famous for all the wrong reasons?
“Please, no violence, guests!”
A staff member, alerted by the commotion, rushed over. After explaining the situation, we were quickly let go.
People really should learn not to mess with the Devil’s Triumphant Return.

“What will you have, Crow-sama? And maybe… this too…”
Fel was wandering the food stalls, her hands already full.
A man approached as I was about to head back to the meeting spot.
“Isn’t that Fel?”
“Yes? Oh, long time no see, Count Hagetee.”
The man, with a sorry amount of white hair and a corpulent figure, was topless in his swimsuit, with bushy chest hair. A wealthy middle-aged man surrounded by beautiful women.
“I heard you were dismissed from Lord Baccatte’s service and was worried, but you seem fine. Being here means you’re employed by some noble now. Good, good.”
This man, a former acquaintance of the royal family Fel used to serve, had a history of borderline harassment with her.
Fel, fed up with his insincere concern, forced a smile.
“Thank you for your concern. Now, I must be going.”
“Hah hah, don’t be in such a hurry. Why don’t you quit that shabby noble and work for me?”
…So that was his aim.
Fel sighed internally, wondering how to handle this, when another voice reached them.
“Ah, there’s Fel.”
“Crow-sama…!”
Seeing her current master, Fel’s face lit up with a genuine smile.
Crow, assuming she was being hit on again, approached.
“Everyone’s done picking food. Let’s go back and eat.”
“Crow-sama? Hah hah, so the man supporting you now is this weakling? You’ve fallen, Fel.”
“Weakling? Are you talking about me?”
“Yes, you, boy. Which noble do you belong to? You should ditch him while you can. He can’t possibly keep you satisfied.”
“No, that’s not my intention.”
“Don’t lie. A guy like you, only good for his money, must be in it for the body. Or maybe you’re the one who gets dumped after having your fun?”
At that moment, Fel’s body temperature dropped… a murderous aura.
Tourists around muttered, “Hey, he’s a goner,” some having witnessed the earlier pick-up incident.
But this time, Crow acted first.
Crow embraced Fel and said.
“Fel is my comrade, and I wouldn’t do that. And, sir, if you’re so concerned about physical matters, you should start by reconsidering your physique.
(Eh, Crow-sama… Eh!?)
Fel’s eyes widened in shock as she looked at Crow’s face.
Even with his mask, his sharp gaze was apparent.
“Let’s go, everyone.”
Without waiting for a response, Crow picked up one of the bags, took Fel’s right hand, and started walking away.
(Totally… I’m tired of being hit on!)
(Ah, Crow-sama, Crow-sama… despite disliking the spotlight, you came to my rescue…)
Meanwhile, the usual misunderstanding unfolded.
“Did you get a good look at that guy’s face?”
“He’s wearing a mask, so he’s easy to recognize.”
Count Hagetee, red-faced with anger, ordered a butler-like young man.
“Damn it! Making a fool out of me! Well, this is Orphen Resort. There are plenty of ways to get revenge. Fel, I’ll have you…”
