Let’s explain the difference between a “Guild Leader” and a “Guild Master.”

The Guild Leader is usually the founder of an adventurer group, or guild.

The Guild Master is the coordinator for various guild organizations, primarily handling administrative tasks. These tasks involve tracking the completion of requests, accomplishments, and assessing the overall strength of each guild. This allows guilds to assign suitable requests based on their capabilities.

Hence, they can match requests to each guild’s strength.

A week later, the leaders of various guilds gathered at the guildhouse. Only the guild leaders were permitted to enter; Ferl, who tagged along, was held back at the entrance.

“Hey, Masked Guy.”

“Oh, it’s Panty-kun.”

“I told you, it’s Pandy!”

Brown short hair and a rough tone. A large sword rested on his back.

Pandy Eight.

Leader of the “Beast Sword of the Hundred Beasts, Beast Dusess” guild, he seemed reasonably strong.

After the usual exchange, Panty-kun grinned and his lips curved.

I admit that I might not be the best-looking guy, but it’s irritating when Pandy-kun points it out.

The appearance of Ceris caused a stir among the others. All eyes turned to her.

“Crow wouldn’t do something like that. If you keep pushing it, I’ll deal with you.”

“Tch.”

Panty-kun chose the wrong opponent.

He muttered in frustration and distanced himself from me.

“Thank you, Ceris.”

“Don’t mention it. Crow is like my cute little brother.”

She patted my head lightly.

I intend to be on my best behavior around her. I definitely don’t want to make an enemy out of her.

“You weren’t at the guild meeting the other day. What were you up to?”

“I was on a dragon subjugation mission.”

“Huh, dragon subjugation?”

After chatting for a while, Zois appeared, the one who gathered us all.

“Everyone, thank you for coming today. We’ve gathered for a specific event. The reason we’ve brought you together today is…”

“Event?” Everyone looked puzzled.

“Thank you all for gathering. Today, we’re here to discuss a certain event. The reason we’ve assembled is…”

“I’m sure many of you are aware that our guildhouse is led by three major forces: Zaan with ‘Snowdrop, Bond of Adversity,’ Ceris with ‘Crimson Rose,’ and Crow with ‘Devil’s Triumphant Return.’ However, there’s a significant difference in power within the guilds.”

As Zois cleared his throat and continued, a few coughs could be heard around the room.

“Therefore, to enhance the overall strength of the guild, we’re organizing a ‘Guild Leader Exchange’ event. It’s an opportunity to experience the educational policies of other guilds and learn from them. I won’t entertain objections. This is a decision that has already been made.”

As Zois made this announcement, the leaders were taken aback. In the midst of this, Ceris raised her hand.

“Guild Master, may I say something?”

“Alright, Ceris.”

“I agree with that proposal, but… my guild is composed entirely of women. Some of them have a fear of men. So, if possible, I would prefer a female temporary leader.”

“I’m joining Crow’s guild. I’ll prove that I’m more suitable to lead that guild.”

“I’d like Crow’s too!”

“I’d like to be with Ceris!”

“I prefer Zaan’s guild…!”

After Ceris and Panty-kun, other leaders chimed in, expressing their desires and preferred guilds.

At this rate, it seemed like they wouldn’t come to a decision anytime soon.

“Crow, you too?”

“I don’t really have a preference… How about we draw lots to decide which guild to join?”

“…That sounds reasonable.”

Zois, who must have thought that things weren’t progressing well, and nodded in agreement.

They folded pieces of paper with guild names on them and put them into a box. The lottery box was ready. Now, all they had to do was draw the lots.
