“Good day. This is Ken from Ken-Channel. Alright. Let’s get this livestream started.”
〈I’ve been waiting.〉
〈Nishida’s World.〉
〈Kitchen Samurai.〉
〈Oh, are we in an another new dungeon?〉
〈It’s the dungeon in Yoyogi.〉
〈That’s right.〉
〈There was a hint in the announcement.〉
“That’s right. Like what some of you have pointed out, we’re in a different dungeon this time. I’m at Yoyogi Dungeon, located in Yoyogi Park, Shibuya Ward.”
Just like Tachikawa Dungeon, Yoyogi Dungeon was also a Class 4 dungeon.
〈Tokyo really has a lot of dungeons.〉
〈There are over 20 dungeons in Tokyo, right?〉
〈Well, it’s a densely populated area after all.〉
〈There’s only one in my prefecture. Haaah… 〉
〈The clear difference between urban and rural areas…〉
Some of the viewers seemed to be lamenting the lack of dungeons in the rural areas. They were right though. There was a stark contrast in the number of dungeons between urban and rural areas. No one knew why, but some theory said there was a correlation between the number of dungeons and population size. In other words, the more people, the more dungeons. As of now, there were around 200 dungeons all around Japan and 22 of them were located in Tokyo. Out of those 22 dungeons, 15 were within the 23 special wards and the other 7 were located outside the special wards. Kanagawa was the prefecture with the second highest number of dungeons with 15 dungeons in total, followed by Osaka with 14 and then there were Aichi and Saitama with 12 dungeons each. Fukui, Yamanashi, Wakayama, Tottori, Shimane, Tokushima, Kagawa, Kochi, and Saga, all of them only had one dungeon.
〈As someone from Kochi, I need to take 3 hours car ride just to get to the only dungeon within our prefecture.〉
〈I’m from Wakayama. I’ve never been to a dungeon yet.〉
〈Isn’t that where Nachi Falls is? Dungeons are often located in tourist areas.〉
〈Tottori has one at the Tottori Sand Dunes.〉
〈Shimane’s is at Izumo Taisha.〉
〈Kagawa has a dungeon in Iino Mountain.〉
〈Iino Mountain…?〉
〈I don’t know that place. LOL〉
〈Me neither~〉
〈My knowledge is very limited…〉
〈Is it a famous mountain?〉
〈Iino Mountain is also called Sanuki Fuji. It’s one of the Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.〉
〈O-Ooh…〉
〈There are more well-known tourist places, like Kompira Mountain or Ritsurin Garden〉
〈Kagawa is the Udon Prefecture, so…〉
〈Additionally, the dungeon at Iino Mountain is a Class 1 dungeon.〉
〈Only the upper level? LMAOOO〉
〈The only dungeon is a Class 1 dungeon? LMAOOOO〉
〈The people in Kagawa can only play video games for one hour a day. It’s in the law.〉
〈I see… Wait, what?〉
〈Does that mean you can only do dungeon exploration for one hour a day too?〉
“….I feel like the viewers are dissing Kagawa, but in my honest opinion, Kagawa is actually a really nice place.”
〈As a resident of Kagawa, I’m in tears thanks to Nishida’s support to us.〉
〈By the way, the dungeon at Nachi is Class 5, the dungeon at the Sand Dunes is Class 7, and the one at Izumo is Class 6. Basically, the dungeons in depopulated areas can be quite challenging to conquer too.〉
〈And yet, Kagawa is just Class 1. LOLOLOLOLOL〉
〈Stop it! Kagawa’s life bar is already at zero!〉
“Ri-Right… I’m going to enter the dungeon now.”
After passing through the entrance, I found myself inside a cave. The upper levels of dungeons were often structured like a cave. The topology would gradually transform into another type the deeper you went. The middle levels were mostly structured into a place that resembled artificial ruins. The monsters that appeared in the upper and middle levels were generally the same. In other words, exploring the middle levels of other dungeons wouldn’t get you any variations. It would be pretty redundant. Of course, there could be slight variations between the upper and middle levels, depending on the dungeon, like the dungeon in Tamagawa. The monsters in the Tamagawa Dungeon were mostly aquatic monsters since the dungeon was submerged in water. The environment between dungeons varied and there were monsters that only appeared in specific dungeons. This Yoyogi Dungeon was mostly the same like other dungeons up to the middle levels, but the real change started from the lower levels onwards. The floors were structured resembling a cliff with steep descents.
“Alright. We’ve made it to the 11th floor, the lower levels of the Yoyogi Dungeon.”
〈As fast as ever. LOL〉
〈The upper and middle levels are just too small for Nishida.〉
〈I wonder what kind of monsters he’s looking for in this dungeon.〉
〈The floor is structured like a cliff, so Nishida can see the entire floor just fine.〉
“That’s right. As you can see, we can get a full view of the floor from here. It seems we can spot the monster we’re targeting from here too… Oh. There it is. Let’s defeat it right away!”
I immediately took off and ran down the cliff.
〈So scaryyyyyyyyyy!〉
〈We’re practically fallingggggg!!〉
〈Running down the cliff just like that… Nishida is missing a gear in his head.〉
〈He’s Nishida after all〉
〈I finally know where the monsters are.〉
〈Me too!〉
〈Huh… I still don’t know where is it…〉
〈It’s hard to see because the monster is in the same color as the surrounding soil.〉
It was an orc. However, while normal Orcs had light brown skin and High Orcs had dark brown skin, the skin of the orc in front of me was the same gray color as the ground on this floor. I swiftly decapitated it with a knife. Then, its body color gradually returned to its original black color.
〈Whoa, it was really there!〉
〈I couldn’t see it at all!〉
〈That orc is like a chameleon.〉
〈It’s really scary to know a monster with a huge body like that can sneak up on you by blending with the surroundings.〉
〈But in actuality, it’s just a black pig.〉
“This orc is an Invisible Orc. It’s a special orc with mimicry skill and apparently, the meat of this orc is even more delicious than High Orc.”
〈More delicious than High Orc…?〉
〈I’m drooling right now.〉
〈New ingredient, getchu!〉
〈I wonder what kind of dish he will make out of it?〉
“Well, I’m thinking of making black pork tonkatsu set meal for now.”
〈Sounds amazing.〉
〈Damn.〉
〈I’m drooling for real just from imagining it.〉
〈My mouth is overflowing with meat juice…〉
〈Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside…〉
〈Sweet fatty meat… And it doesn’t seem to be too oily either. I could eat as much as I want without getting sick.〉
〈Seriously? How can you guys imagine all that just by looking at that black orc? Lol!〉
After that, I continued hunting for black pork, or to be precise, Invisible Orc. Since hunting in the same area would make the population of Invisible Orcs disappear, I gradually moved down the floor and eventually… I heard a scream after I reached the 13th floor.
“AAAAAAHHH!!!”
“A scream…?”
A high-pitched scream, seemingly belonging to a woman, was echoing from somewhere. I turned my gaze toward the direction of the voice and sure enough, I saw a young woman running down a cliff while being pursued by a bear monster. She looked so desperate, probably because she was quite literally running for her life.
“It looks like an explorer is being attacked by monsters. I’m going to help her.”
〈As expected from Nishida. No hesitation at all.〉
〈He’s still single after all.〉
〈Searching for a fated encounter in the dungeon is not ethical guys. LOL 〉
〈No, but, isn’t she super beautiful? I mean, she looks like a foreigner?〉
〈You’re right. She doesn’t look Japanese.〉
〈Why there’s a foreigner doing a dungeon exploration in Japan?〉
