While clearing a group of Sahagin, a fish-man monster, I continued coursing through the first floor of the Tamagawa Dungeon.

“Anyway, I’m going to head straight to the lower level. Either the 11th floor or deeper. The edible monsters in the upper and middle levels are not that good. Generally speaking, the stronger the monster, the better it tastes.”

And so, by using the teleportation traps just like usual, I descended deeper and deeper underground. 

“Alright. We’ve made it to the lower level. As you can see, most of the paths here are completely submerged by water.”

There was a vast underground lake stretching before me. Just from a single glance alone, anyone could tell the lake was pretty deep.

After making sure the camera was turned off, I took off my clothes and put on a swimsuit instead.

After I finished changing, I turned the camera back on.

The viewers seemed disappointed for some reason, but I wasn’t sure what they were expecting from me in the first place. An old man wearing a swimsuit? Yeah. I definitely didn’t see the appeal. 

“This drone can’t be used underwater, so I will switch to a special underwater drone.”

I activated the underwater drone and tossed it into the water before diving after it. 

“The bottom is pitch black. It’s kind of terrifying.”

The light from the drone illuminated the area, but even with the light from the drone, I still couldn’t see the bottom of the lake.

〈How can he dive into a place like this so nonchalantly?!〉

〈Isn’t there a huge shadow swimming over there?〉

For now, I decided to swim all the way down to the bottom.

Something rushed toward me at incredible speed from the depths. It was a shark monster and it was about 5 meters long.

〈If this weren’t Nishida we’re watching, I wouldn’t be able to watch this without freaking out like crazy.〉

The shark opened its massive jaws, ready to swallow me whole, but I sliced its body in half before it could do anything to me. 

“That’s an Evil Shark. A shark monster. It’s not very tasty though, so I can’t use it for my restaurant.”

〈Nishida is still being Nishida, even underwater〉

〈How can he fight with a kitchen knife underwater…?〉

〈It’s already crazy enough he can fight all those monsters on land.〉

Later on, I encountered jellyfish and sea serpent monsters, but none of them were suitable as ingredients for cooking. 

“Ah, I can see the bottom now. I can see a pile of sand… Hm? What’s that?”

Something on the ground was glowing, so I approached it. All of a sudden, the sand around me rose up from both sides. I was surrounded by massive walls all around. 

〈A trap!?〉

〈No, it’s a clam!〉

〈Nishida is going to get eaten whole!!〉

“Oops.”

I caught the walls—no, the clam’s shells—with both hands just before they could close on me.

〈He stopped it! LOLOLOL〉

〈I mean, what is this clam monster anyway?〉

“No. It’s a common misconception, but the clam in The Birth of Venus is actually a scallop. Not a giant clam.”

“Of course. I already know this clam monster is here. This clam monster is delicious, so I’m going to take it back with me. it’s big, so there’s a good amount of edible parts I can use.”

〈Well, it’s a clam. Definitely easier to stomach than sharks or jellyfish.〉

“There’s a large shrimp walking around over there, but it’s poisonous and not very taste. I will just ignore it. That being said, that shrimp is edible though.”
