The viewers were calling me out in the comments, so I was reconsidering my choice. Maybe going for 200 monsters right off the bat was too much… But then, Koto said…

“I-I think I want to continue… Fighting alongside Miku-senpai is so much fun and I also want to get stronger… (Also, there’s just something thrilling about mowing down monsters with an axe like this…)”

And so, I decided to add another 100 monsters.

〈Turns out Koto-chan is also a hot-blooded person, huh?〉

〈She really is Nishida’s blood relative.〉

〈They may not look alike on the outside, but they might be similar on the inside.〉

〈But people typically don’t really look that much alike with their third-degree relative, though.〉

Just like that, Koto continued swinging her battle axe happily. She took down the deep level monsters I presented one by one.

〈Hey, I might be imagining things, but I think Koto-chan has awakened her sadistic side too?〉

〈You’re imagining it! LOL〉

〈But well, smashing the monster’s skull looks kind of fun, don’t you think so?〉

〈Nah. It’s probably because she’s fighting alongside her admired senpai.〉

Eventually, the two of them finished defeating all the additional monsters I had brought.

“Good job, everyone.”

“Finally… it’s over… It felt way longer than the first 100 monsters…”

“Fufu… You’re right, but it was a good workout session.”

〈Koto-chan looks more relaxed than Miku-chan.〉

〈She just awakened recently, right?〉

〈Maybe it’s because her skills.〉

〈Maybe she just gained a new hot-blooded type skill. LMAO〉

I handed potions to the two girls, who were completely exhausted. They didn’t seem to have any injuries, but the potions not only worked wonders on healing wounds, but also had the effect of relieving fatigue.

“How is it? Do you feel you’ve gotten stronger yet?”

“Ye-Yeah. I think so. This axe feels a lot lighter than before. It feels like I’ve leveled up several times too.”

“…Indeed. I can see your mana capacity has increased significantly.”

I could get a rough estimate of how strong someone was by gauging their mana’s. From my perception, Koto should be able to fight on equal ground against monsters in the middle levels. Of course, I had no plan on letting her do such dangerous things yet! The middle level was still dangerous for her to venture alone!

“Ken-san, what about me?”

“Hmm… Kanamoto-san….”

“Muuu… (Even though I already told him to just call me Miku…)”

“Hm?”

For some reason, Miku Kanamoto was pouting and glaring at me a little resentfully. I really had no idea why. Did I do something wrong…?

“Errr… You’re not at Koto’s level, but you’ve definitely leveled up.”

Miku Kanamoto should be able to handle the monsters in the lower level soon.

“However, just like what I mentioned earlier, leveling up through power leveling only increases your status. You can’t gain actual combat experience from it, so don’t get the wrong idea, okay? You still need to get stronger gradually on your own.”

I had to make sure to drill this point into their minds. I didn’t start this power leveling session just to make their explorer record look good on paper. I only wanted to make them have a better base so they could do dungeon exploring in a safer way. Fortunately, their main job was being idols. I doubt they would push themselves too hard in dungeon exploring. Besides, they had Kaga with them. As a manager, it was Kaga’s job to keep an eye on things.

“Alright. I think we should head back to the surface soon.”

Now that we had finished our power leveling session, it was time to return. 

“We can’t use the teleportation trap to get back like we did coming in, right?”

“That’s right. We need to make our way back the regular way.”

Going all the way to the 30th floor and defeating the boss to return via the teleportation portal was out of the question. I didn’t want to risk it. Hence why our only feasible option was to head back in the normal way, but…

“However, there’s this one little trick.”

“Huh? There’s another trick?”

“Yeah. Since we’re already here, I was thinking why not give it a try? I do have to say, it’s just a trick that I happened to see on the internet. There’s a chance it won’t work.”

Yeah. Some of the explorers might already know what I was talking about. After all, this trick could be found in Danpedia too. Danpedia was the world’s largest dungeon exploration site where anyone could  freely write and edit dungeon-related information. The site was also available in Japanese language. You could find pages of information regarding the dungeons within Japan. That being said, dungeons tended to change their internal structure little by little. Hence why explorers shouldn’t rely on outdated information or incorrect information, as doing so could lead to serious consequences. Sometimes, people would intentionally wite misinformation to put explorers in dangers. 

I veered away from the path leading to the stairs that would take us to the upper floors. 

“There it is. This is the spot.”

After about 20 or 30 minutes of walking, I finally located the place I was aiming for.

〈How did you manage to find it without getting lost at all?〉

At the edge of the 20th floors, there stood a towering wall with an old, double-door entrance. I opened the door and I was met with a spacious space and…

“That’s Tarasque, the hidden boss of this dungeon.”
