Masanori, having taken a direct hit from the Forest Dragon’s breath, writhed on the ground in pain.

Just then, a light descended from above. The light enveloped Masanori’s body and the wounds on his body began to heal rapidly.

Despite what she said, the woman sounded incredibly nonchalant about it.

Ryoko said as she cast multiple layers of buff magics.

“M-My body feels so light! I…I can feel the power surging through me!”

“GAHAHAHAHAHA! With this, we will be able to take down the deep level boss!”

“Oh my? You also cast buff magic on my familiars as well?”

“Thanks a lot! You really helped us out!”

“Well~ As long as you don’t die, I can pretty much heal anything~ Go make some noise! No need to hold back!”

〈A Forest Dragon versus five A-rank explorers〉

〈Having a powerful healer on board makes a huge difference though.〉

And so, all four A-rank explorers leaped toward the Forest Dragon in unison. Ryuuga’s lightning sword burned through the branches and leaves while Genzou’s aura-infused fists pummeled through the dragon’s bark-like skin. Shizuku’s familiar launched their own respective attacks while Masanori slashed at the dragon relentlessly with his claw-like weapon.

“BUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

“Gahhh!?”

“Alright, one healing coming right up to you~.”

Although the Forest Dragon’s shockwave breath caused a massive wound on their bodies, but Ryoko’s healing magic quickly healed them back to normal. This allowed everyone to jump right back into the fray. 

〈They’re strong!〉

〈They suddenly started fighting evenly against a deep level boss.〉

〈It’s hard to believe this is a makeshift party with how good their coordination is.〉

〈It’s because this party has a good balance.〉

〈I knew it. Balance is really important, huh.〉

〈But the boss doesn’t seem to be taking much damage from their attack.〉

〈They keep cutting off the branches on the boss’ body, but new branches just grow back in seconds.〉

Ryoko groaned. She had been observing the whole fight from a short distance away and she noticed the same thing the viewers had pointed out. 

“What do you mean ‘bad’? We’re clearly doing a great job at damaging the boss!”

Ryuugi quickly quipped after he heard Ryoko’s words. 

“Look carefully. Sure, you guys did injure it, but the wounds healed after a short while. I think that thing has a high regeneration point.”

“W-What did you say!?”

〈Not only the boss is strong, but it can regenerates too?!〉

〈This deep level boss is totally overpowered.〉

〈How are they supposed to beat it then?!〉

〈Whoever designed this boss is an idiot.〉

〈For real. Give me their contact info so I can complain.〉

〈How many times do we have to tell you guys, this isn’t a game…〉

And then…

“”GROAAAAAAAARRRR!!””

Seemingly frustrated from getting disturbed by these small creatures, the two-headed dragon roared. Its roar was so loud, so much so the ground started shaking along with it. And then, suddenly, a part of its torso bulged out. From within that bulge, something seemed to be growing. Branches, twigs, barks, fused together and before anyone could do anything, a third head had been born. 

“TH-THE HEAD?!”

“IT’S MULTIPLYING?!”

“Oh my.”

But it wasn’t just one. New heads kept appearing one after another. From one, to two and then to three. Eventually, the Forest Dragon transformed into a multi-headed dragon with 8 heads.

〈W-W-W-WHAT!?〉

〈THE HECK!?〉

〈That thing… Evolved…?〉

〈It’s likely because of the dungeon rampage! The dungeon rampage is making the boss even stronger! 〉

〈Announcement: This is the end for Inokashira Dungeon〉

〈This is it. This is the end.〉

All eight heads opened their mouths in unison.

〈Don’t tell me…〉

〈Is it going to use its shockwave breath attack!?〉

〈All at once!?〉

〈This is bad, really baddddddddddddd!〉

Eight shockwave breath attacks were unleashed at the same time, aimed directly at Ryoko Hongan.

〈The dragon is targeting the healer first!〉

Shizuku’s slime came forward, guarding Ryoko from the shockwave breath. However, everyone had the same thought in their mind. There was no way a mere slime could hold against 8 shockwave breath attacks. 

〈No way, the slime can actually absorb the shockwave?!〉

〈The slime is amazing!〉

〈It’s because Ryoko had cast multiple buff magics on it!〉

〈Maybe Ryoko already knew she’s going to get targeted?!〉

〈But it doesn’t look like the slime can hold out much longer!?〉

“Ouch. I thought with this level of defense buff, we might be able to hold up against it somehow, but I guess… The boss is stronger than I thought.”

Ryoko muttered with a wry smile, fully resigned to her fate. She couldn’t even step away from the slime without becoming the target of the shockwave breath attack. She had no choice but to accept her fate. Moments later, the slime’s body exploded into pieces. The slime couldn’t withstand guarding Ryoko against the breath attack any longer. 

“…?”

Bracing for death, Ryoko closed her eyes, but the expected shockwave from the breath didn’t come to her. Cautiously, she opened her eyes and tilted her head in confusion upon seeing the sight before her. 

“Phew. That was a close one.”

There stood a man, the owner of a local restaurant who had rushed back from the 30th floor of the dungeon with unparalleled speed.
