After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 92- Bad dream
The next day, when Yuichi woke up, he was bathed in sweat.
He has a very unpleasant dream of something happening to the people close to him.
Kaori, Minami…everyone seemed to have been taken away from him. And despite wanting to stop them, he couldn’t. Yuichi felt helpless like nothing was under his control.
‘Fuuu…it was a dream…’ Calming his heart, which seemed to be beating like it was trying to burst through his chest, Yuichi got out of bed.
His shirt was completely drenched which made him feel uncomfortable.
He removed his shirt to reveal his chiseled physique in front of the mirror. He has several marks on his body which might not be comfortable for a normal person to gaze at. The marks of his past that he still carries glared back at him when he looked at himself in the mirror.
His past flashed across his mind and not only that life he spent in the underworld but the time he spent with his parents also, he recalled it all.
Thinking back on those days, he couldn’t help but smile. That tomboy who was quite like a family to him has returned and now she looks like a refined lady.
She knows about Yuichi’s past and she talked about those incidents which helped him reminisce about the days he misses so much.
For Yuichi, Suzu was undoubtedly an important person.
And today, unbeknownst to him, that family member was going to be brought under the shades of danger.

[Takeda house]
Since the engagement ceremony would be happening in two days, the Takeda household mostly talks about the event whenever they unite.
Just like now, on the breakfast table when all the members have gathered, the lady and the man were talking about the dress they would be wearing on that day.
“I was thinking of a formal black suit…” The elder Takeda spoke with a grumble—only to get countered by the lady,
“As I said, the theme would be wine so we are going to wear wine shade. No more discussion.” The lady made her decision final, much to Ryuuske’s complaint.
Hiroto smiled at the exchange as he munched on the toast which had peanut butter spread on it.
It was then, when suddenly his mother asked him, “Hiro…is everything alright?”
Hiroto was slightly surprised being pulled into the conversation all of a sudden but he didn’t take long to respond, “Yes…I am. Why do you ask?”
Akiko shared a look of concern with her husband before Ryuuske added “For some reason, it feels like you are not very enthusiastic about the ceremony. Is everything alright between you and Miyuki-chan?”
Hiroto wanted to wryly smile at that. The reason why he couldn’t be motivated and excited about this ceremony since he and now Miyuki as well knows, that this event would get canceled today.
Despite how much he wanted nothing more than to stand up on the stage with his Hime and celebrate that day, he couldn’t. He has to take care of the Protagonist and his harem or who knows what that psycho goddess might do.
“Everything is fine between us, Dad…it’s just I am feeling a little tired these days because of school and club. But nothing to worry about.” He assured them. Involving his parents in his mess would be problematic and needless.
Akiko sensed that something was wrong however, she didn’t persist in asking him and after holding his hand tenderly, she said, “Whatever happens, remember that we are here for you.”
Ryuuske followed, “Don’t take all the burden of everything on yourself. Rely on us too, son.”
Hiroto thought that he had gotten accustomed to this feeling called familial warmth. However, when they say things like this, he can’t help but feel a little emotional.
Nodding he said, “Alright, I will keep that in mind.”

“Hiro-kun? Where is Shiorgane-san?” With the usual group, Hiroto was silently walking when Kaori asked him.
The flow of the conversation halted as everyone turned to look at him.
Hiroto, with his fingers clasped behind his head, nonchalantly said, “She got a fever. Resting for today.”
Since there was nothing unusual for someone to get sick when the weather was shifting so frequently, no one asked anything further.
Kaori just said ‘I hope she gets better soon’ and resumed her conversation with Yuichi.
Satomi was also a part of the group and just like Hiroto she was also silent as well.

[At school]
Gazing at the empty seat beside him, Hiroto sighed. It had been just a day since they became neighbors and she had to skip school.
While Hiroto was gazing at the seat, suddenly someone knocked on his desk, attracting his attention.
“Yo dude, you okay?” It was Yuichi who approached him. Since there were still fifteen minutes to homeroom Yuichi decided to chat with his troubled-looking friend.
Hiroto slowly nodded, “Yeah, am fine.”
“Don’t worry, she will be fine by tomorrow,” Yuichi added as he sat down on Hiroto’s desk and patted his friend’s shoulder.
“I know… it just doesn’t feel right when I see her like that…” Hiroto was still troubled about the tears she let out because of him yesterday. Seeing his lover cry was the last thing Hiroto desired to witness.
“Well, if you are worried for her, I think you should leave the school after lunch. You can make some excuses and get permission from Sensei.” Yuichi suggested and Hiroto wanted to chuckle at that.
If only he could leave the school today.
While retaining his composed temperament he assented, “I will think about it.”
Silence ensued between the two teenagers. The gossiping noises of the others resonated across the classroom as Hiroto looked outside the window just as Yuichi.
Suddenly Yuichi, in a daze asked Hiroto, “Hey Hiro…I had a very unpleasant dream today that something happened to Kaori, Minami, and Suzu….do you think I should get worried?”
Hiroto raised his brows in surprise. For a moment the ex-assassin thought that the Goddess was hinting something to Yuichi.
However, soon Hiroto brushed it off. There was no chance the Goddess would needlessly bother Yuichi. This must be his institution.
Hiroto casually replied to him, “Well if something happens to them then make sure to rescue them and snatch your girls back.”
Yuichi grimaced at that before reminding him, “Suzu isn’t my lover, you know.”
Hiroto snickered, “Yeah, yeah. Just a matter of time.”
Yuichi narrowed his eyes at that but before he could rebuke Hiroto, the door of the classroom slid open, and the homeroom teacher walked in.
“Let’s talk about this during lunch. You will join us today, right?” Yuichi asked as he got up.
Hiroto smiled in defeat before he said something that profoundly confused Yuichi, “Today…we won’t be eating anything.”
