After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 91- Wish
Tomorrow is the day.
Hiroto had made all the preparations required for tomorrow.
He currently was leaving the school after he arranged everything he would need tomorrow. Naturally, he didn’t inform anyone about it or there was a chance for the ambushers to delay their plan.
The priority of this event would be to stop any student from meeting their makers.
In the original storyline, there were three possible routes.
First, to save Suzu the protagonist has to make some sacrifices. In this route, Yuichi takes Suzu away from the school after he realises that the interest of the terrorist lies in her. Once the ambushers realize that their mission has failed, they open fire on a group of students before the police restrain them.
The conclusion of the first route is not pleasing. Yuichi becomes depressed and Suzu returns to the Kingdoms.
The second route could lead to Suzu’s death.
The third one was the most difficult—defeat every terrorist secretly and save Suzu along with every student. It would help Suzu to realise that she couldn’t live without Yuichi and no one would die. Happy ending.
However, the third route is the toughest one. A small mistake and the bombs planted across the school could lead to numerous deaths. That’s why tomorrow, Hiroto wasn’t going to take any chances and leave this important mission in the hands of Yuichi.
It wasn’t like Hiroto was underestimating Yuichi, rather, he was just being overly cautious.
‘Haah…now let’s settle the hardest part…’ Exhaling deeply he left the school around eight, without allowing the surveillance to catch him.
The destination he had in mind was the place he called his oasis. However, today, he was feeling quite troubled to meet her.
Not because he was displeased with her. Hiroto could never get mad at his Hime. The reason for his trouble arises from the fact that he needs to convince her not to go to school tomorrow.
‘Regardless, I have to do this…’
He took a taxi to reach the mansion and just like the previous time, he reached her window without much trouble.
Reading something under the table lamp, she looked ethereal. Her long hair freely cascaded down her shoulder like a serene waterfall and her violet eyes made him dazed.
As she sensed him, she redirected her eyes from the book and smiled at him—making his resolve sway a little.
However, he firmed his resolve before entering the room, once she opened the window.
“Hey…ah.” Her greeting ended with a small exclamation in surprise as suddenly Hiroto encircled his arms around her waist and dove his face into her neck.
Although she was pleased to feel his warmth and loved how possessively he embraced her, she couldn’t help but feel a little troubled in her heart as well.
“Hiro-kun…are you alright?” She said softly as her hands delicately wrapped around his wide back.
Hiroto gathered his thoughts before asking, “If I ask you to do something, will you fulfil my wish without asking anything?”
“If that wish doesn’t involve you getting close to another woman, then I will.” Without a second worth of hesitation, she responded. For him, she can do anything he desires, but letting Hiroto get close to someone else….nope, Miyuki was not lenient.
Hiroto pulled his face away and looked into her eyes, before he asked, “Tomorrow…can you not go to school?”
Miyuki was about to say, ‘Yes, of course’ but then suddenly, she paused.
He….looked troubled and unusually concerned. What was there in school tomorrow that she couldn’t go there?
With her brows drawing slightly closer she asked, “And what about you? Will you be going, Hiro-kun.”
“I…have to.”
She knew something was about to happen. He said he had to and she couldn’t go so there must be something dangerous going to happen tomorrow. And for some reason, Miyuki had a feeling that this was related to Yuichi. Again.
Seeing her temperament growing colder, Hiroto cupped her cheeks before asking, “You said you would fulfil any wish of mine…so please, just for tomorrow, don’t do anything other than spend time at home.”
“And what if I don’t?” Her heart was beating loudly in anxiety. She has never seen him being so persuasive about something. For Hiroto to be so desperate then this matter must be severe.
However, all her anxiety and inner thoughts came to a sudden halt once she heard his following words,
“If you insist on coming…then I would have no other option than to drug you, so you spend tomorrow sleeping the whole day.” His tone was cold and his eyes held no emotion. He couldn’t compromise on this. He couldn’t let her get involved in this. He has already failed once to protect her in the past and that’s why Hiroto didn’t want to repeat his mistake.
The room fell under uncomfortable silence as Hiroto stared at her with unwavering eyes.
Suddenly her eyes began to get clouded by tears—startling Hiroto.
“Y-you are so *sniff* mean…Hiro-kun…” She wiped her tears with her sleeve as she complained.
Hiroto’s frosty expression melted as he tried to comfort her in a panic.
“M-Miyuki…I didn’t…”
“You don’t want me to go there *sniff* and you won’t tell me either….*hic* you are cruel…I hate you….”
*Rumble*
Like an electric bolt passed through his body, Hiroto went completely stiff hearing the last part.
S-she hates me…
While Hiroto was overcoming his shock, Miyuki walked away, sprawled over the bed and hugged her pillow. She was hurt and mad.
Why Hiro-kun can’t trust me? Why can’t he rely on me? Am I that useless? Does he no longer need me? Does he feel that I am a burden? Does he think that relying on me would be foolishness? Does he dislike me? Does he no longer love me? Does he love someone else now?
All sorts of questions began to arise in her head as tears continued to flow down her eyes and landed on her pillow—damping the cover.
Hiroto looked at the scene and found it heart-wrenching. This was the first time he had made his Hime cry and this experience was not good at all.
Walking to her, he lay behind her and held the girl close to him. His arm wrapped around her waist and thanks to her fragrance he was able to calm his mind first.
“Do you want to know why I can’t tell you about this or let you be a part of it?”
There was no response from her as the soft sound of her sobbing continued. However, Hiroto knew that she was listening so he continued,
“Tomorrow something massive is about to happen and I have to resolve it somehow. However, if you were at school, then my whole focus would only remain on you, Miyuki and I might end up making some mistakes.”
Propping himself on his elbow, he softly removed her hair from her face to see her beautiful face which was currently stained with her tears.
While wiping those droplets which he never desired to see, he added, “You are my strength and weakness both, Miyuki. If I have to choose between you and the world then I wouldn’t hesitate to let the world burn to be with you. But tomorrow, I have to save both.”
“But why? Why do you need to be so considerate towards others when I am the most important person to you?”
She asked in a hoarse tone after she turned to look at him as she sat up.
Hiroto also straightened his back, and with his eyes turning a little serious he informed her of something which she never expected,
“If I don’t do whatever I am supposed to…then I would be removed from existence, Miyuki.”
“—–!!!!” Her slightly reddened eyes widened in shock as for some moments she couldn’t even register properly what he said.
….removed from existence? T-that means…he would die?
“H-Hiro-kun…w-w-what a-are you…” Her words stumbled at each syllable and her eyes began to turn moist again. She couldn’t even think of a life without him anymore. No, she doesn’t want to even think about it!
Hiroto sighed and softly cupped her cheek, before responding, “The one who gave me the power to regress, has also given me the role of taking care of Yuichi and the people around him. So please understand my circumstances and listen to what I say.”
Miyuki remained silent for a long time and Hiroto took the opportunity to bring some tissues to wipe her tears.
Finally, after five minutes, she uttered, “Tomorrow I won’t go to school Hiro-kun…but there is a condition you must fulfil.”
Hiroto readily nodded, “Yes, whatever my Hime wishes.”
Miyuki took a deep breath before asking, “After you finish doing whatever you planned to do, I want you to tell me everything.” With her eyes turning colder and more serious, she added,
“Everything means everything. No more secret between us, okay?”
