After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 87- Possessive
Katsuragi Suzu, what makes the girl special?
Well, apart from being Yuichi’s childhood friend, there was something more crucial which would affect not only Yuichi but the whole school really soon.
Katsuragi Suzu’s parents belong to two different countries. Her mother is British and her father is Japanese. Her mother’s side is rich and quite influential in the Kingdoms and Germany. They have several educational institutes across the continent and being an ancient family they have a respectable status as well.
Now let’s talk about Katsuragi Ichiro—Suzu’s father. The man with a brilliant mind.
He is a scientist working for the government and someone who was in the lead of developing some infamous bioweapons for Japan. And one of those bioweapons was used for destruction in a war against a small country in the east.
Now, here is the thing that would be relevant to the next arc—Hide and Kill.
A small group from that country who faced the wrath of Japanese bioweapons would infiltrate the country with the motive of revenge. And their target would naturally be the daughter of the scientists, whom they want to slaughter.
‘It would in three days…’ Hiroto vividly remembered this event since there was a high chance of losing one or two main characters in this event.
Even…Miyuki lost her life in this event because of some mishaps.
Hiroto would make sure that Miyuki doesn’t attend school that day. However, he cannot stop this event from happening by informing the police. Nor can he find out about their hiding since these terrorists always remain digitally isolated.
And the worst part—there is an unknown student in the school who is with them.
If Hiroto tries to warn the school management or inform anyone else, then there is a high chance for the event to take place at a later date or Suzu might get targeted at some different place.
This event has to happen in the same way that Hiroto remembers. He could only have control over it if he knew all the cards of this game.
Glancing at Miyuki, he uttered under his breath, ‘Until you are safe I know I won’t make a mistake.’

During lunch, Suzu was overcrowded by students—despite her clear statement earlier regarding her likingness toward solitary.
Yuichi was, mercilessly, pulled by Kaori to the stairs where he was being questioned about Suzu.
“You never told me you have such a….dramatic childhood friend.” Her temperament and those narrowed eyes clearly told him that Kaori was still frustrated about Suzu’s behavior earlier.
Yuichi rubbed the back of his head and spoke in an unsure tone, “I had one friend in the past who resembled Suzu-san…but I used to think that she was a boy.”
“Eh?” Kaori exclaimed aloud upon hearing that—losing all her vigor in an instant.
“Yes…we used to play in the mud and she always had boy-cut hair so I thought she couldn’t be a girl.” Scratching his chin, Yuichi added, “But now that I think about it, there really were some moments when she showed signs of being not a male.”
Kaori’s eyes widened and their cheeks became red as she immediately asked, “W-What incidents? What are you talking about?”
Yuichi raised his brows in surprise seeing her excited state returning before he responded, “Like…she used to refuse whenever I invited her to pool…and even never came for a sleepover.”
Kaori heaved a sigh and patted her chest in relief.
Yuichi did his best to not look at her chest for now….but given their proximity and the location he couldn’t help but feel a little tempted.
“Ah!” Kaori suddenly yelped as Yuichi pinned her against the wall and stood dangerously close.
The blush that had finally begun to recede, bloomed on her cheeks once again when she found those heated eyes directed at her.
“D-Did I awaken the beast?” Kaori tried to joke but seeing his never-changing expression she began to feel slightly nervous
“You dragged me here and made me like this…now take responsibility.” His hot breath brushed against her face making her shiver down to her tailbone. Her heart was beating like it would explode into millions of pieces and her face couldn’t have been any more hot.
Although she started dating Yuichi it was the first time for them to get this intimate. It didn’t help that she never had any experience before Yuichi which made her mind numb and completely unresponsive.
Seeing her moistened eyes, something sparked inside of him as Yuichi softly tucked her soft hair and whispered, “When you were looking at Hiroto with those admiring eyes earlier…I didn’t like it.”
Kaori sobered up a little hearing that tone which suggested that her boyfriend was complaining.
She slowly shook her head and told him, “But that doesn’t mean anything. I admire him as a friend, and you know that.”
Yuichi rested his head on her shoulder before heaving a sigh and replying, “Yes…I know…but after I have realized my feelings for you, I don’t like whenever you pay attention to any other guy….like that punk from baseball club.”
Kaori’s body turned still upon feeling his arm coiling around her waist protectively but that didn’t stop her from responding, “Then…I won’t look at anyone in such a way that can hurt my Yu-kun.”
Yuichi lifted his head, before asking, “Don’t you feel annoyed by this possessiveness of mine?”
Kaori giggled upon hearing his question, which showed how uncertain he was.
Cupping his cheeks tenderly she shook her head and said, “No…on the contrary, I like your possessive side. It signifies that it isn’t me who is romantically involved in this relationship.”
Yuichi was slightly taken aback by her response. He has heard that girls don’t like possessive boyfriends. But Kaori was different. The survey on the internet didn’t take the poll of every girl, he deemed.
“Yu-chan?” Suddenly, to break the atmosphere between the two, someone called out for Yuichi from the end of the stairs.
There was no doubt that this person was…
“Suzu.”

Just a few meters above where the drama was about to unfold, a pair of love birds sat silently while enjoying each other’s presence.
Miyuki was hugging his arm while leaning her head on his shoulder. There was silence between them but that doesn’t mean the atmosphere was awkward or unpleasant.
Miyuki and Hiroto just cherish every moment, they spend together.
Amidst the silence, Miyuki giggled which urged Hiroto to ask, “Did you remember something good?”
“Hmm~it’s our engagement ceremony. Only four days to go.”
Hiroto smiled seeing those happy eyes of hers and how elated she sounded.
On Saturday there would be an official engagement ceremony where some guests would be invited from either side. Preparations have mostly been made and now both families are waiting for the day to arrive.
“I just hope nothing happens now…” Clinging even closer to him, she uttered under her breath.
However, the look on Hiroto’s face was not similar to Miyuki’s. In place of excitement, which he should have been feeling, all one could see in Hiroto’s eyes was sadness.
‘Haah…why this world has to be so fucked up?’
