After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 85- First kill
The peacefulness of the Ikeda family returned.
Thanks to the video footage their daughter showed them, the couple could be seen currently sitting on the couch with a content smile on their faces. The misunderstanding that was created was now all cleared and the guilt from Ikeda Reiji’s heart has vanished.
(A/N: I can’t remember if I had named Minami’s father before.)
After realizing that the child Kohana had didn’t belong to him, Reiji was able to cut all his ties with his past and was able to finally start anew with his wife.
Naturally, the lady of the house was no longer upset since the past her husband had with Kohana was before their marriage. And after hearing the truth about that purple-haired vixen, she only felt pity toward her husband.
“Sorry for shouting at you. I was really mad and never thought things through.” Hearing her words, Reiji shook his head and told her,
“You don’t need to apologize. I should have been more careful and should have told you about it from the start.”
The woman smiled at that and added, “Then that makes both of us guilty. Should we call it even?”
Reiji raised his brows before inching closer to her, “Here, let me add a seal of approval.”
She closed her eyes—expecting to feel her husband’s lips on her—when suddenly someone barged inside the living room startling the couple.
“Mom! Dad! Here is something you guys need to watch!” It was Satomi who rushed inside without a warning while holding her phone.
Soon Minami also followed and she also had an expression which said the matter was severe.
Reiji would have scolded Satomi under normal circumstances, but witnessing Minami’s expression—who generally doesn’t react to things easily—Reiji decided to see what it was.
“*Gasp*” The lady gasped in horror while Reiji frowned.
The same woman who was about to become the reason for their divorce—Kohana was on the news.
[Breaking news! A middle-aged woman who works for a stock company, died last night because of losing excessive blood in her house. Her hands were chopped off while the woman was bound to her bed. The assaulter has mercilessly chopped off her arms and no evidence has come up until now. For deeper investigation, it turned out that the victim was involved in several relationships and it is speculated that one of those connections has cost her, her life.]
Reiji glanced at his wife with a pale expression, as he uttered under his breath,
“I am thankful I met you….”
********
It was a weekday and the school continued.
Although some people joined them after a certain point, from the station to the foot of the hill, the trio remained the same.
Kaori walked between the two guys she had known for more than a year now.
Hiroto walked to her left while looking at his phone while Yuichi chatted with Kaori.
Looking at the news, Hiroto couldn’t help but smirk.
He was there last night when the woman was getting murdered.
To think that Miyuki had such tendencies that seeing blood and killing a person never bothered her….indeed Hiroto and Miyuki were very compatible.
Hiroto was there for her to teach the best way of slicing one’s hand with a blade and Miyuki seemed so natural in it that it didn’t take much effort from him and she was already going at it on her own.
Since he had no affection towards anyone else than Miyuki, Hiroto didn’t think twice before letting the rotten woman die in her house.
He removed all the evidence that could have been traced back to Miyuki. Although Hiroto knows that Shirogane Souma wouldn’t let his daughter get jailed—the proof is the canon events where Souma allowed Miyuki to do whatever she deemed right and always protected her from the shadows—but still, until possible Hiroto wanted to not let anyone know about that hot sadist side of Miyuki.
It was exclusive to only him~
“Hey, Hiroto-kun, do you know anything about the transfer student?” Being included in the conversation all of a sudden, Hiroto didn’t show any sign of surprise before shrugging,
“I am not sure…but it seems the person is an immigrant.” Of course, he didn’t get this information from the school or anywhere else in this world. The person who would be appearing today was someone Hiroto knew from his past life.
The arrival of another heroine. And the main catalyst of the next arc.
The Hide-and-Kill arc.
Hearing Hiroto’s words, both Kaori and Yuichi seemed surprised but they never asked where he got such information.
Rather, Yuichi focused on something else, “Hiro, Hanabi was asking me for your number. Should I give it to her?”
Hiroto raised his brows in genuine surprise before he asked, “You don’t mind it?”
Yuichi was taken aback, “Why would I?”
Kaori looked between them to and fro before she asked, “Hiroto-kun…you have noticed it too?”
Hearing Kaori’s question, Hiroto wanted to deny but he had already thrown himself in the pit, so he just nodded, “Yeah…I have.”
Yuichi tilted his head and waited for any one of them to say what they had noticed. However, his patience didn’t bear any fruition as Hiroto and Kaori continued to walk in silence while looking forward.
“Can anyone tell me, what’s the matter?”
Yuichi asked, a bit frustratingly. Why is it, that his two best friends know something but he doesn’t? Are they planning a surprise party for Yuichi? But his birthday is far away…
Hiroto scoffed, “If you can’t find out about it yourself, then you are better off not knowing.”
Yuichi grumbled hearing those complex roundabout words. He really wasn’t the type to play the mind games.
Forget it! He would ask Hanabi later.
As they reached the foot of the hill, on top of which the school was situated, they saw three beauties waiting for them.
Hiroto walked a little faster and reached his girlfriend, while Kaori and Yuichi joined the Ikeda sisters.
Yesterday they didn’t come to school for obvious reasons but today, Satomi was beaming as she greeted Kaori and Yuichi.
Minami also shyly greeted Yuichi and the latter asked about the sisters’ well-being and other stuff.
Satomi suddenly turned her attention toward Hiroto and found him and Miyuki already have started walking.
She summed up her courage and called out aloud, “Hiroto-kun, good morning!”
Hiroto and Miyuki both halted before Hiroto turned to look at Satomi and nodded in response.
Satomi felt a warm sensation spreading across her chest—and because of her excitement, she totally missed noticing the gaze that Miyuki directed at her.
Yuichi—who was somehow quite perceptive towards their situation, noticed everything and realised everything.
‘I need to do something about her….before Shirogane-san takes any action…’
