Hearing the interaction between the target and Hiroto had Hanabi and Yuichi’s jaws slackened. They could have never expected that Hiroto would take such a bold and risky step to gather evidence against the target.

He not only kept an eye on the violet-haired woman but actually went inside the room she booked and placed a spy camera inside from where most of the bedroom area was being covered.

Delaying the woman by stumbling upon the staff who was carrying the bed sheets and towels, then using the opportunity to enter the room…indeed quite a shrewd strategy.

“Yu-kun…is he really an ordinary high schooler?”

Yuichi improved his impression and when Hanabi turned to look at him, he was grinning smugly, “Of course, he is…but then again, he is my friend so it’s given that he would be extraordinary.”

Hanabi scoffed and mercilessly stated, “Given how beautiful and seductive that woman seems, you would have started stuttering from the get-go.”

Hearing her words, Yuichi raised his brows before he leaned slightly forward and asked in a low tone, “Am I stuttering while talking to you?”

“It’s not me…” Realization dawned upon the girl a moment later and when it did, her facial shade reminisced a setting sun.

Yuichi chuckled at the display—but his laughter died soon when his eyes went to the screen of her tablet where the live footage of the hotel room was being broadcast.

Seeing his knitted brows, Hanabi also turned her attention to the screen and found the reason behind his changed demeanor.

A man, in his late fifties, just entered the room, and in a very compromising pose, they both could be seen—currently wrapped around each other and vulgarly eating each other’s mouth.

Although Hanabi was embarrassed to see such a thing, Yuichi didn’t show any reaction and with a serious frown continued to watch.

The duo went kissing each other from the door to the living area. And finally settled on the couch.

The woman looked young enough to be the bald man’s daughter and she called him her ex-boyfriend at the reception counter.

‘Quite a vixen…’’ Hanabi muttered inwardly as her initial fluster disappeared soon enough.

The man and the woman lay sprawled on the couch with the lady softly running her fingers on his half-exposed hairy chest.

It was then when suddenly they began to talk…and the content of their conversation was of Yuichi’s interest.

[Have you collected the sum from Ikeda?]

The Ikeda here, undoubtedly, was Minami’s father.

So, this old man was involved in this as well—Yuichi inwardly uttered.

The woman sighed exasperatedly,

[He is being a wuss and cannot withdraw the savings from his joint account. Well, some more threatening and he will empty his accounts soon.]

The old man grinned upon hearing that before he grabbed the woman’s mouth with his chubby hands,

[This pretty face has robbed so many men…thankfully I understood you before you could have cheated on me and charged me with false pregnancy like you do with others.]

“There!” Suddenly Hanabi slammed her hand on the table hearing those words from the old man.

However, Yuichi gestured for her to keep calm since he wanted to hear what the woman had to say. After all, only the criminal’s statement would be effective in convincing Minami’s mother.

And thankfully, she confessed the thing which Yuichi wanted to hear,

[Fufu~you were inches away from believing that the kid I carried belonged to you.]

Raising her hands dramatically she added,

[But the truth is, I don’t even know whose child that lass is.]

The old man let out a chuckle before he said,

[And you have blackmailed numerous targets through that brat. Quite a bitch, you are.]

“Haaa….” Yuichi sighed before leaning back. This much was enough to gather evidence against the woman.

He was about to ask Hanabi to turn off the surveillance when suddenly the doorbell rang.

Yuichi frowned before he glanced at Hanabi and told her,

“Turn it off.”

Hanabi nodded and immediately turned off the screen.

Yuichi got up and walked toward the door. He wasn’t expecting any guests at this time so he was a bit wary.

However, the moment he peeked through the hole, he heaved a sigh and immediately opened the door without any hesitation.

“Welcome back.” The person whom Yuichi greeted was his best friend.

However, Hiroto didn’t respond to his greeting and stepped aside—revealing two girls who were somehow hidden behind him.

“Hmm?” Yuichi was a bit surprised seeing both Minami and Satomi standing there with varying looks before he turned his eyes toward his friend; questioningly.

Hiroto shrugged, “I thought why not make things a bit quick?”

“Umm…are we not welcomed?” Hearing Minami’s hesitant voice, Yuichi lost his focus on Hiroto and hurriedly shook his head.

“No, of course you are. Come inside first.”

As Yuichi stepped aside, Satomi casually walked inside the house without a care in the world. Minami was a bit nervous but she also walked in and said, ’Sorry for intrusion’ in a meek voice.

Exchanging their shoes, the group of four returned to the living room where Hanabi remained seated.

For a moment, Minami’s eyes narrowed at Hanabi but she didn’t say anything.

Hiroto has already told Minami and Satomi that there is a ‘she’ friend of Yuichi who is helping him with this matter. He informed them to save himself from needless drama.

“Hey…” Hanabi awkwardly waved her hand at the two and introduced herself, “I am Tojou Hanabi…nice to meet you.”

“Hmm.” Minami just hummed and leisurely walked to sit on the chair which Yuichi offered.

Seeing the awkwardness that permeated because of Minami’s cold response, Satomi instantly tried to ease down,

“I am Ikeda Satomi. Nice to meet you.”

Hanabi smiled at the blond one, but before she could have said anything further, Hiroto intervened, “Have you gathered enough evidence?”

Hearing his words, Hanabi frowned before she nodded.

“That lowlife woman has been scamming people for a while…and we have recorded her confession.”

Satomi tilted her head before she asked, “What do you mean?”

Yuichi took the role of detailing everything that had happened and how they were able to record that woman’s confession.

While he was telling them about everything that happened since the evening, Hanabi filtered out the needless kissing scene at the beginning of the video and when it was prepared she showed it to the two of them.

Once the footage ended, Satomi was in tears and Minami also looked quite taken aback.

Although they suspected that the woman was hiding something, they never expected her to be a con woman.

“If not for Hiroto-kun’s situational decision then we might not have been able to reach the truth,” Hanabi added.

“Yeah, Hiroto helped a lot. Also, it was him who encouraged me to get Hanabi’s help and volunteered to handle the groundwork. If anyone, then it was Hiroto who did most of the work.”

Hiroto’s expression remained unchanged as he stood at one side and said nothing.

However, after knowing everything Hiroto had done for the Ikeda family, Satomi felt something for Hiroto.

Turning to look at him secretly she couldn’t help but wonder,

‘…has he always been this kind.’

Something was changing inside Satomi

…something which Miyuki definitely wouldn’t like.
