After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 79- The past~2
Agent Noir or what they used to call me in my past life. I didn’t have a name since I wasn’t given one. Didn’t think of one since I never deemed a name necessary.
My present and future had always been changing and dramatic so I never got the time to settle down and create an actual family. Truth be told, I never actually wanted one.
One thing, I used to make sure in my last life in any of those missions I took, was to keep my identity a secret. By no means, one could know how I looked and where to find me. Having job experience and being one of the best in the field, I had confidence in my skills.
That’s why the first time I realized that someone recognized my identity in this world where my past self didn’t even exist—I had more than enough reason to get shocked beyond the point where I couldn’t hide it.
“Hiro-kun?” Miyuki’s voice reached my ears but it took me a moment to calm myself down before I looked at her.
Those worried eyes hurt my heart but after hearing that name from the blond girl named Nene, I was completely taken aback.
“I…am fine,” I assured her—well I tried to but looking at her unchanged expression, I knew I didn’t succeed.
The desperate urge to just pull Nene into a corner and interrogate her boiled up within me but I held it in. I couldn’t let Miyuki suspect us which could lead her to know about my past life.
That is completely unacceptable.
“Should we get going?” Acting like she never whispered that name into my ear, Nene asked us with a cheerful smile.
Miyuki looked worried about me but I held her hand and gave a knowing look. She looked hesitant but didn’t pursue the matter anymore.
We sat inside the car with Nene and Miyuki on the other side and I sat in front of them.
“So Hiro-kun, can I ask you how did you win my Nee-san’s heart?” Jumping right on the question/answer round, Nene asked with stars sparkling in her eyes.
“Nene….you can’t ask something like that, so casually.” Miyuki softly reprimanded her but that blush on her cheeks lessened the effect of her scolding.
Oh, so my Hime also wants to hear it, eh?
I leaned back on the seat and crossed my arms, “Hmm…you can say I was initially attracted to her because of her looks.”
“Oo~quite honest of you.” Nene grinned toothly at that and nudged her older sister.
I said what I and the original Hiroto felt. Although I saw her through a screen I was fascinated with everything that this girl possessed. And the original Hiroto was just lost in her the first time he saw her.
“And then?” Nene looked interested. I wonder if she is the same person as before.
Nevertheless, I answered, “Then we met, got to know each other better and after getting ignored by her, for like eight to nine times I realized the reason why I was so desperate for her attention.”
Retaining my eyes on those beautiful purple orbs of Miyuki, I added, “I had completely fallen for her before I even realized.”
The way her eyes trembled for a moment and the emotions I could read in them, I knew she wanted nothing more than to just leap into my arms. Truth be told, I would have appreciated it from my heart.
“Ugh~You are making me blush!” Nene exclaimed while holding her chest and leaning on the side.
I chuckled at her reaction and broke eye contact with my girl. I knew I would give in if I continued to look at her.
“It was quite a story, Hiroto-kun. And I am happy that Nee-san met you and fell for you.”
When Nene said that, at that time, I didn’t realize what she meant by those words. However, soon enough I would realize the meaning behind every act of hers.

Upon reaching the shopping mall, the three of us leisurely walked around while chatting. Well, it was mostly Nene and Miyuki who talked while I accompanied them.
By the looks of it, I could tell that Miyuki got along with Nene quite well. She doesn’t have any friends at school and those acquaintances are just there to exist. Miyuki doesn’t even actually know their full names.
Seeing Miyuki smiling like this while enjoying herself with her cousin made me…..a little jealous and a little happy.
Quite a strange creature I am.
“Let’s go to that store?” While pointing at one of the female clothing shops, Nene asked—or more like pulled us there.
Since this whole shopping complex only has expensive brands to offer, very few people could be seen—and more so, today was a weekday.
The store did not have many people so it allowed them to browse through the sections quite conveniently. I remained by their side while doing nothing in particular.
“Hey, Hiro-kun….how would it look on me?”
I saw her holding a one-piece cocktail dress that reached ankles and had a slit down the thigh. It was dull red in the shade and I could vividly picture Miyuki wearing it and looking extremely,
“Beautiful.”
Maybe it was because I only glanced at the dress once and was staring at Miyuki all the time, which made her blush in embarrassment when I said that.
She curled the dress and dropped it in the basket I was holding.
Okay, I want a hug now.
I held her hand and before Nene could turn to look at us, I dragged Miyuki away.
She didn’t show any protest and even giggled at my miserable and desperate self.
Once I checked that there were no employees around, I pulled her inside the trial room and closed the door.
“Hiro-kun…aren’t you a greedy one?”
The way you have wrapped your hands around me, I can’t discern who is the greedy one here.
Regardless, I also didn’t hold back and encircled my arms around that thin waist of hers. Seriously, how can she possess such a charming shape?
I inched closer and pressed her against the door. She looked at me with upturned eyes and bit her lush red lips.
“Tempting me so casually in daylight…don’t you fear of getting attacked in front of your cousin?”
Hearing my hot whisper made her shiver as she inched her lower body close to me and her arms hugged my neck. The distance between our lips was less than inches and that fragrance of hers invited my whole being to just submit to my desires.
However, before I could take the step that I wanted to, someone knocked on the door,
“Dear customer…are you alone in there?”
The thing that made me more irritated than being disturbed was the fact that the one who knocked wasn’t a store employee, but that blond lass.
Tch.
